So i actually got a comment from r/Askmen on how to preserves sticks and was politely informed of this sub.

This is my stick

It looks unimpressive i know but If you hold it on the heavy end there's a flat side that aligns perfectly with the slight edge/bend on the other side and makes a very nice swings. And i like swinging it often for fun and exercise.

I have gotten lots of great comments/methods/tips already from my original post but i figured id ask here as well for good measure.

To be clear the question is:How do i preserve my stick?

Stick with me here: I feel like this piece would have made a useful analog decision tree in pre-computing times.

Saved this one from the bonfire.

Looks like something a bokoblin would have. I peeled off the bark and whittled down the handle part while sitting around the fire. I wanted to take a photo but it was last night and too dark. Photos are from this morning when I went out to retrieve it. Wife told me not to bring it home but I do anyways.
