It has some body damage and a cracked windshield. We Buy Any Cars is offering me $4,650 in the shape it’s in. I’m not sure what’s its real value is with the damage on it. Drives well though. Thoughts?

Better to press in front bearings and hub with knuckles attached or not?

I have to replace both my left steering knuckle and left hub. I received the new hub, bearings, seals, and knuckle and I'm wondering if I should use a hydraulic press to set the bearings, and then press the hub into place before attaching everything to the car. Or is it better to get a bearing set/press kit and install the knuckle on the car first?

Looking for a shop in NC that would put a H6 in my Baja

My current engine is toast so I figure I may as well pay a little extra to have it replaced with an H6. What kind of shop would I want to look for that would be able to do that kind of project?

Door gaskets

The weatherstripping on my doors is starting to go. I can't find anyone selling them new (part 61288AE00B in particular). Doesn anyone know some material with the same profile I can use?

Thanks!

Yes. It can be a work vehicle too.

Just put your rear seats down it’ll hold your tools and gear. This is my Subaru WRX Baja. 😅

2003 Yellow Baja for sale - Boston area

*** SALE PENDING*** The time has come to depart with my dearly beloved yellow Baja, I would love for it to find a good home with someone who will cherish it just as much as I have. Details and photos below.

2003 Subaru Baja (automatic)- 118,712 miles - $7,000
Clean title, no accidents, and no major damage. Three owners, with ownership history in Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Drives great and has working A/C, radio, and CD player. It passed Massachusetts state inspection on 08/01/2026. There is some minor rust, as would be expected for a 23-year-old vehicle. There is also a known issue with the driver’s-side wheel bearing, which will need to be replaced at some point within the next year.

** Comes with snuglid yellow bed cover and cargo net

Engine swap $$$$$

My 2005 Turbo 5 speed Manual with about 200K miles failed a compression test and I am being told I need a new engine. I will get a 2nd opinion but assuming I do need a new engine....Here in Albuquerque I have gotten quotes from $9K to 15K for an OEM swap. Still getting more quotes. Most shops don't do rebuilds. Not sure rebuild is smart either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.....

Funny Kismet

I took my recently purchased dream car to a car wash to get detailed, and happened to see a plateless turbo with a bed extender on it. Turns out the car wash services a local dealer fleet, and this one had just come in the inventory.

I asked the manager nicely and got the dealer's number, and after a little back and forth will be picking up my OEM bed extender tomorrow!

Absolutely doing the upright mounting hack I've seen here before.

2006 Baja Turbo

I have a blue Baja with about 125k miles on it. Some cosmetic damage and bumper damage on the driver front light. Also, a cracked windshield that can be fixed easily. Any idea of its value? I’d like to sell it.

Blinking AT Oil Temp Light

Does anyone have experience with this? I got my Baja (2006, automatic, sport) in April with 100k miles and it been great until now. The AT Oil Temp light will show up blinking when I start to drive sometimes.

I brought it to an Automatic Transmission shop where they changed the fluid and tried to solve the issue but weren’t able to find the cause. Changing the fluid didn’t help and now it’s just sitting until I can figure out what’s wrong.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Issue when engine is cold

I live in a neighborhood where I drive about a block, then have to turn into a busy, higher speed road after. The first time I drive my car on any given day, my car just drags ass accelerating at low rpm until the turbo kicks in, then practically throws me across the second half of the road. So...putt putt putt ZOOM!

Any insights on what might cause this? It doesn't happen afterwards until the next day, but super consistent issue on the first drive of the day.

I have an 06 turbo auto.

High Mileage Turbos?

I am thinking about investing some money into my 2005 manual Baja Turbo. Some cosmetic stuff...paint, seat covers, new stereo, etc... I have about 200K miles going and I have done some big repairs already including a new suspension and timing belt. Wondering before I invest another big chunk of dough into it, how many more miles can I expect from the car? I have heard of some peeps getting 300k, even heard someone got 400k.... I am worried about the turbo failing and oil consumption leaks? Worst case I need an engine rebuild?

Being “the friend with a truck” means being the designated U-Haul whenever they move lol

It’s honestly rewarding tbh especially as a girl with girl friends whose only other options r to call their evil exes/dads

Just changed the oil on my 04 Baja sport, what’s going on here? I also have a p0420 error code.

Only took 10 years.

Finally, after owning so many weird Subarus, the 90s XT6, multiple SVX and brats. I finally found a Baja for a killer deal. This will be the forever daily. H6 plans down the road, but for now I just want to enjoy it for what it is.
