I started playing recently and love Sunday. I see that he already ran twice this year so I'm essentially fucked until next year pretty much?😒

Apologies for the very late post, as been waayy too busy & focused on Ribboning Master my Pokemon due to Pokemon Bank Shut Down Announcements, since then I was wayy too focused on RM my Pokemon before it's too late. 🙏

So will also be using this thread to update Astral Express Sunday Masterlist, when Ver 4.5 releases!

I don't know why but this idea kept on coming back to me. If Himeko has to step down for some reason, it feels like Sunday is the only current passenger who can shoulder the duty of the Navigator

I believe part of the reason Himeko Nova has flopped was due to people thinking she has no aftersales and will age badly at e0s0 similarly to Phainon.

If they just held off on Sunday's last banner and then NV him this patch to make him BiS for Himeko undisputed, alongside rerunning him with Himeko they would have made more money. Sunday reruns with his current eidolons just won't make them much money but if they improved his e1 and e2 that would change.

Frustrated how they seem to be slowplaying his buffs that he badly needs, why dedicate so much story time to him in 4.x if he isn't going to get buffed?

With 4.6 now pretty much confirmed to be bringing no new Novaflares, we're apparently looking at 4.7 at the earliest — if they even happen at all. At this point, I genuinely find this ridiculous.

The last Novaflares happened all the way back in 4.2. That's several versions in which HoYoverse has had plenty of opportunities to revisit existing characters, evaluate their performance, and implement meaningful improvements — yet we're now going through another patch cycle with nothing, and the frustrating part is that Sunday is exactly one of the characters who could and would benefit the most from this.

Novaflares were created to give characters an opportunity to receive targeted improvements without requiring an entirely new character and Sunday already has an established niche, but there are still aspects of his kit and Eidolons that could be meaningfully improved to keep him competitive and make his investment feel more rewarding, so why has it been this long since the last batch?

The developers obviously have the resources to design, test, and implement balance changes faster than this — we've seen them make substantial adjustments to characters in shorter spans of time (4.0 -> 4.2); and that's precisely why the continued absence of Novaflares is becoming increasingly difficult to understand to me.

I'm not asking for every character to be adjusted in the span of 3 months or versions, I'm asking for meaningful modernization and improvements where they're needed. A Novaflare would be the perfect opportunity to address some of the weaknesses in his kit while preserving what makes Sunday unique — and with the Satisfaction Survey coming around soon, I think this is where us, Sunday mains, can make our voices heard.

Please don't forget to mention Sunday in the upcoming survey. Don't assume someone else will do it. Don't assume the developers already know what we want. Give specific feedback about what you believe could be improved in his kit, his Eidolons, and his overall performance. Even if you've already submitted feedback before, send it again. A single survey response may feel insignificant on its own, but consistent feedback from a large number of Sunday players is much harder to ignore than silence.

We've been waiting since 4.2 for another Novaflare batch. If 4.6 passes without one, we're potentially waiting until 4.7 or even longer. I don't think we should simply accept that and stop asking. Let's make it clear that Sunday hasn't been forgotten.

If you want Sunday to receive a Novaflare as much as I do, please use the upcoming Satisfaction Survey and every appropriate feedback channel to ask for his buffs. Be specific, be constructive, and most importantly, keep the feedback coming. 4.2 was a long time ago. It's time for Novaflares to return, and it's time for Sunday to receive the improvements he deserves.

TL;DR: No new Novaflares in 4.6 means 4.7 is the earliest we can hope for one, despite the last batch being all the way back in 4.2. Please mention Sunday in the upcoming Satisfaction Survey and ask for meaningful buffs to his kit and Eidolons. The more consistently we speak up, the harder it is for our feedback to go by unnoticed!

As we already know, one of the cliffhanger of 4.4 was Himeko invites Sunday for a private talk as the navigator of AE which implied that Himeko will formally invites Sunday to the Express and will lead on having his own ticket which Asat Interrupts her and well, Ourouboros revive which leaves us in cliffhanger.

My prediction is we will see some teaser in the live with Sunday doning his newly acquired ticket in the trailer and amhis decision might involve Robin after they reunite once again and since in this game, having SP means most likely a character development, I believe Robin will gain some self confidence to be a leader of Penacony as we see in 3.7, she looks like a rubber stamper as Family refuse to help against Irontomb.
