Distinguished Gentlemen’s ride, 2026.
We had 300+ registered riders in Vancouver Canada riding today, and the weather was fantastic!
Finally found an "underbone" style bike being imported to the USA, horiz Honda cub clone thingy
Underbone is what alot of countries use to refer to Honda club style bikes. I've been looking for a step through motorcycle here in the US for a while. Specifically a new Chinese import as I have plenty of lifan engines and like to work on them, so I know I can keep one running.
Was part of a moped club back around 2005 and we were offered a sweet deal from a Chinese importer back then...$400 for a 50cc Honda cub made by jialing in China. Or the same for a more motorcycle variant, literally looked identical to the 125cc motorcycles made by hero in India...but I digress...I missed out!
Five years ago there were several actual cub clones being imported, but it seems like those sources have all dried up, and what I can find on Alibaba when not let me import a single bike...but I want a new step through frame motorcycle and can't afford a new cub....
Was going to get the boom Vader 125cc Grom clone. They seem well liked and reasonably put together...IF you understand what you are buying and can troubleshoot....but researching them, I found this thing(link below) which appears to be a later styled cub clone along the lines of the Honda wave, but with smaller wheels, akin to the underbones of Vietnam
I was wondering if anyone know if there is a specific bike this is cloning, it has a horizontal hondas engine, so isn't really a scooter......or if anyone has owned one. It really does appear to be just one of the MANY Chinese underbone horizontal hondas engine bikes you still see all over Vietnam.
I've found a website referring to it as the boom hurricane BD125-9... Whereas the Vader Grom clone is the bd125-10
Both are around a thousand bucks....but i really prefer this to the Grom clone with my old bad hips.... would be easier to mount ya know.
But yeah if anyone has owned one or knows where I can get or import another cub clone let me know. Thanks guys
Here's the bike

Edit- and now the link doesn't work for me, maybe I broke Amazon.lol
DGR on the Cross Cub 110
Did the Bishops Stortford DGR two up on the Cross Cub 110, what an experience!
2023 Side stand
I have a 2023 SuperCub and am wondering if anyone can recommend a good side stand. The center stand is great for maintenance and what not, but I'm genuinely just over the center stand for most daily use.
Anyone know where I can get a new key cut?
My fresh 1982 Passport C70 barnfind. I’ve seen there’s sellers on eBay that can take the codes off the locks and cut new keys. Where do I find the code, and would the code off the steering lock or helmet lock also work for the ignition? Thanks!
Advice needed on seized engine
Hello everyone, just bought a FI Press Cub 2009 with 42k kms.
I bought it 150km from my place relatively cheap. I did 100kms on rural roads with 3 stops. Then i did a 40km on highway and engine seized. Kick is blocked, and i was not trying to push with with force. Apparently i overheated it, and to be honest, was not expecting from cub to seize from such distances.
As i understand the block and top end were never disassembled before, and ill be the first one who will do it. Any advice? Can i save the original cylinder? Not much a mechanic, but i believe i can do this myslef.
Any advice appreciated
What tires can I use?
I mainly ride on the street but I like to go off the road on trails from time to time, could I use
this on the front Michelin Pilot Street 2 (Front/Rear 70/90-17) https://www.cyclegear.com/tires/michelin-pilot-street-2-tires?sku_id=10042555
and
this on the back Michelin City Extra (Front/Rear 80/90-17) https://www.cyclegear.com/tires/michelin-city-extra-scooter-tires?sku_id=10144184
or should I just do 2 Pilot Street 2s with a (70/90-17) on the front and a (80/90-17) on the rear?
or are there any other recommendations for tires?
Opening Up Cub’s Power Potential (airbox, gearing, FI)
Hello, fellow enthusiasts.
In enjoying my new 2023 cub, I’m being reminded of why I typically evade stock FI bikes. For the most part, the populous in the Asia-Pacific region drives Honda Dreams and Waves, which I find to be much ‘zippier’.
The bike has an aftermarket exhaust on it but stock airbox and gearing. Have you heard of anyone going down a tooth on the front sprocket of a 125 or 110 cub?
As you twist the throttle there’s a bit of lag, it only really gets responsive as you hit mid-to-high RPMs which is lots of fun yet not what I like in an ‘around towner’.
I presume the engine is the same as the CB110, but is the FI as well?
I suspect the bike is running lean. I looked at the dynojet website and there are precious few maps, most using stock airbox, rather than a Uni filter. Has anyone swapped the actual jet itself using the stock map? Then no need for a pricey dynojet nor a custom tune?
Appreciate your advice 🙏
Unsure if this is the right place to post this…
My girlfriend’s grandparents are moving and I’m not sure what model this is. Can someone help me? Does this have any value?
Wanted: Top Box
Howdy Friends of The Mighty Supercub. Searching for a top box for my 2020 Supercub. I'm willing to have painted to match. Kijima rear rack compatible. 30-50 liter for grocery store runs.

I paid $1100 about 8 years ago, rode it for a couple years, then had some troubles with the carburetor leaking and have just been storing it. Really don’t want to get back into it. What kind of value does it have more or less without getting it running now?
