I am planning to apply for my parents visitor visa for intended travel of 1 month during fall where
Sponsors me and my husband we both are PRs in Canada
Any inputs to improve their application and chances of getting it approved
Is it necessary to get the medical/biometrics done before submitting the application? Or would we get an invitation letter for both after applying?
I want to apply for my parents super visa both have Candian tourist visa. What are the chances? I am going to apply for spousal pr aswell.
Hi everyone,
I applied for my parents’ Super Visa from India on April 20, 2026, and biometrics are already completed. Just wondering if anyone else applied around a similar timeline and would like to share updates/timelines here 😊
I’m also trying to figure out when it might be safe to book cancellable flights, so hearing others’ progress would really help.
If anyone has a Super Visa Excel/Google Sheet tracker as well, please feel free to share. I could only find trackers for other visa categories.
Hello all. Sharing my mother's supervisa timeline. This sub was super helpful in creating the application package, so thank you to everyone. Some details below:
| Original Passport Request | May 15, 2026 | May 15, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Biometrics Submission | May 8, 2026 | May 8, 2026 |
| Confirmation of Online Application Transmission | May 7, 2026 | May 7, 2026 |
Feel free to ask any questions.
My current situations:
We got P1 request on 11-05-2026 and waiting for P2 & ECoPR. Hopping I will get ECoPR within a month (Finger crossed).
My wife is 5 month running pregnant and we really need our parents to come here from India.
My agent told me that i can't apply for their super visa with just ECoPR but i will need PR Card which i think will take approx. 2-2.5 months which would be too late.
Thinking to apply for their Visitor Visa but their visa was rejected back in 2024 while wife's convocation ceremony so I'm afraid of rejections.
Please guide me what should i do here and what are my options.
Thank you for considerations. Much appreciated 😄
Applied for my grandmother’s Super Visa from Islamabad, Pakistan. Sharing the timeline since these posts helped me a lot during the process.
Timeline:
Total processing time was a little over 5 weeks.
For context, I had applied last year as well but it was refused due to an incomplete application. I forgot to attach my passport copy and also didn’t include dependents properly for the LICO calculation (I didn’t know I had to because it was just me)
Reading recent posts it looks like IRCC is processing supervisas much quicker this time. Last year I had to wait 7 months for a rejection with no requests in between.
I'm planning to apply for super visa for my parents as they are in india. Do anyone has idea or recently applied for it and got result? How many days it took?
Much appreciated in advance.
My brother , who is permanent resident, applied for father’s super visa. My father is retired from police service. The application was submitted on February 2025. We received two request letters asking for different documents in June 2025. All additional requested documents provided in the given time frame. However, there is no update after that. Please share your experience who was in similar situation. Thank you.
What is the current processing time for super visa ? Is there anyone who currently have applied for super visa for parents from India? What is the current pattern for processing by time if the medicals are done upfront and no need for biometric as well!
Hello,
Please share your passport stamping timeline from the New Delhi office after receiving PPR.
I received PPR on May 6 and submitted my passport on May 8.
Thanks
Hi all, I am trying to do a Super Visa application for my mother who is also a widow. She lives alone in her home country, is retired, receives pension, has a car, a condo, and some land. I am thinking how to best demonstrate home ties. I have mentioned all of this in the Letter of Invitation and also got her to write a Personal Statement.
My questions is:
a) should I get a CA report, is that the gold standard? It would be a lot of hassle collecting documents but the positive side is I can only submit the CA letter and I dont have to provide dozens of documents alongside (deeds in local language etc.),
b) what is the alternative? I keep hearing about notarized affidavit of asset inventory, but in that case, in addition to submitting this notarized inventory, my understanding is that the best practice is to make a document bundle and alongside the notarized inventory, as proof, include hundreds of pages of deeds (in local language), translated in English.
Am I overcooking this? Is this too much, or its best to not share any such information at all since its Super Visa. Please I would appreciate some feedback.
