I am aware of the Super Visa eligibility criteria. I am asking this question from the POV of understanding what a visa officer considers when granting a Super Visa.

I recently became a PR and want my parents to visit Canada for a few weeks. AI and a few YT content creators recommended applying for a Visitor Visa if they don't have the intent to stay more than 6 months.

I was thinking a Super Visa will help if they want to stay for a longer duration in the future. Should I apply for their Visitor Visa as of now and then later apply for a Super Visa if required, or can I apply for a Super Visa now?

Long story short, I met this girl on a group trip. I really liked her vibes. We both belong to the same city. We came back from the trip a few days ago. We exchanged photos on WhatsApp and connected on Instagram as well.

I am coming to Vancouver for a week's solo trip this Sep. I was exploring options to reach Joffre Lakes from Vancouver Downtown. Everyone, including AI, is recommending renting a car for one day.

I was exploring different options like Enterprise/Modo/Evo. I got to know Evo is not reliable for this long trip. Modo is okay but would make sense if you're a Modo Plus member. And Enterprise's only YVR Airport branch allows pickup/drop-off on weekends. That means I would need to travel all the way from Downtown to YVR at 5:30 AM if I want to start my journey at 6:30 AM, so that I can reach Joffre Lakes by 9:30 morning. Well, this sounds really hectic.

Do I have alternatives? Any group tours or buses (either from Vancouver or Whistler)?

EDIT - I'm just being optimistic that I will be able to secure the pass.

Hey folks! I have a 24-hour layover at CDG (Paris) airport. Planning to visit the city. What are my options for getting travel insurance?

I live in Canada (not a citizen). I saw in the Document list that travel insurance is required while applying for a short-stay Schengen visa. Any recommendations?

And just out of curiosity - although I live in Canada, can I buy travel insurance from my home country if that is cheaper than the options available in Canada? Or must the insurance be issued in Canada (country of residence)?

Will be visiting Vancouver as a solo traveller at the end of August for a 4-day trip. Planning to spend one night in Whistler. I saw Vallea Lumina while searching for things to do in Whistler. Is it worth it?

I (26M) got in touch with a girl (26F) through biodata. In the talking stage, we exchange messages just once a day. Regardless of when I reply/message, her message comes the next day or a day after tomorrow.

I get that everyone has a life and everyone has to do 100 things in a day. But I was expecting a basic courtesy to respond at least a few times a day on weekends, or at least to tell I am busy with whatever and will talk in some time - Is it that hard?

So I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar situation in the beginning but later ended up with the same person.

Context - I started a service-based company in partnership in my home country a few years back when I was living there. We established the company to take on freelancing work. Then I resigned since I was moving to Canada as a student.

In all the places, like LinkedIn and Work Permit's Previous Employment History section, I mentioned that experience as a "Freelancer". But when I was submitting my CEC application, I mentioned that experience as a Co-Founder at XYZ in the Personal Activities section.

Now, I received an ADR for IMM-5669. I suspect I received it because of this discrepancy. Now, should I mention that experience as a freelancer or a Co-Founder? Or something like "Co-Founder/Freelancer"? The timeline and location are the same, though.

How cooked am I here? What are my options?

I will be coming to Vancouver for a week's trip. I am planning to go to Joffre Lakes. I have an option to rent a car, drive there, hike, and come back. Is there a way I can join a group, perhaps through a Group tour company? Do you guys recommend going solo, or would a group be a good/safe idea?

I received an ADR request two days back. In the Request Letter, they mentioned including personal activities and addresses up to the 2016-01 date. But in the IMM-5669E, it is mentioned to list activities/addresses "since the 18th birthday or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent". I was 16 in 2016.

Should I consider what is mentioned in the Request Letter or obey the IMM-5669E instructions? Has anyone faced this kind of situation?

How's the experience of others for shipping the Go service as an embedded file in the Tauri application to make the application run offline? As well as for cross-platform support? Is it reliable?

My objective is to build an application that will run on Desktop (Windows/Linux/MacOS) and Mobile (iOS/Android). I discarded the idea of the Tauri sidecar since I won't be able to run that on Mobile devices, and MacOS will flag.

I wrapped my React frontend with Tauri 2.0 and am planning to ship my Go service as an embedded file (.dylib). And call the backend service using the invoke function through Rust commands (IPC).

I am developing on Windows right now, and it took me some time to build a POC. I was wondering what challenges I could be facing while creating versions for other platforms. I am a rookie in desktop/mobile application development since I come from the web world.

I would appreciate the tips and suggestions for achieving the mentioned goal.

25M - As a first-time car buyer with a G2 licence, I tried getting quotations online. It's showing me ~$400/month.

I am looking to buy a car for pleasure since I don't need to travel for work. I am surprised by the quotation. Roughly, if I am not wrong, buying a decent, reliable car will add at least $900/month (insurance + car mortgage + gas + misc) to my monthly expenses.

I was wondering how much people living in KWC usually pay, especially people in their 20s, as first-time car buyers. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated as well.

I forgot to submit my Resume while submitting my CEC application. Although they haven't asked me that, I was thinking whether I should send it through Webform.

Hey folks! A few days ago, I created my first Oracle Cloud account to deploy a free VM. I was not able to deploy it on the region though, due to a Host Out of Capacity error. Thus, I thought of upgrading my account to PAYG. But I got a generic error - Something went wrong, please try again later.

So I thought of deleting my account and starting with a fresh account. Upon not finding a way to delete the whole account, I went ahead with deleting my tenancy. Then I tried to create a new account, but I cannot do that since Oracle allows only one free account per billing address. I cannot use my other cards since all of them have the same billing address. Now I'm stuck in between - Neither can I get my old account/tenancy back nor create a new account.

I tried calling the Oracle support, and they told me to contact Oracle sales since it's a new account-related query. I tried several times but was not able to connect to the mentioned phone number.

Also tried with their Live Chat feature - When I tell the representative my issue, they tell me that they are redirecting my chat to the concerned department. Since there is always a wait time, my session gets disconnected automatically before I can reach someone in that department.

Is there a workaround? What are my options now? I thought of going with Oracle Cloud since they are providing a generous computing instance for free. I want to host my backend service written in Golang with MySQL DB. Feel free to suggest if you know any cheap/free alternatives.
