[Artwork] DC Redesigns: Superman (by Me)

A while ago, I set out to build a coherent, singular DC timeline from the Golden Age to now. It became a total reimagining of the universe – if it were mine and I could do whatever I wanted, what would I do?

Now, at last, I’ve completed and compiled the Superman family’s corner of ‘my’ DCU. All new designs, dates and ages as time passes and people grow, reckoning with the major events and players and how they would flow and interact.

You can see all the previous entries as I worked through the Superman series here:

Part 1: Year 00-01 – Superman’s earliest days (year 2000-01)

Part 2: Year 8 – Supergirl arrives, Darkseid invades (year 2007)

Part 3: Year 11 – Warworld, Rann, Thanagar, and a slew of aliens (year 2009-10)

Part 4: Year 12 – Crisis on Infinite Earths (year 2011)

Part 5: Year 19 – The Death and Return of Superman (year 2018)

Part 6: Year 26 – Present day, the whole Super-fam is here (year 2025)

Villains pt. 1: Lex, Metallo, Mannheim, Brainiac, Parasite, Bizarro

Villains pt. 2: Darkseid, Conduit, Mongul, Satanus, Livewire, General Zod, Manchester Black

I’ve also released a huge PDF that compiles all the art, the full Superman timeline and all the major stories, and detailed design notes. It’s on my Patreon as a free download for members. If you want to see more and read how it all goes together.

I want to give an extra-special thank-you to u/Substantial_Swim6872 who did some spectacular art of my Big Barda & Mr. Miracle designs and gave me permission to add it to the compilation.

I’m already deep into Wonder Woman – the only character who is an active hero in the Golden, Silver, and Modern ages. I’ll be posting that soon. If you enjoy what I’m doing, keep watch!

Superman #39

>Superboy-Prime loves comics. He’s a Wednesday Warrior and has read a lot of continuity. But a classic Superman villain has banished Prime into different issues he hasn’t read! Get ready for a wild ride across the DC Universe as Prime is dragged kicking and screaming across past events, lost reboots, relaunches, and restarts! If he doesn’t find his way back to Metropolis, he will be lost forever!
