I need of funds for my GoFundMe

Hello my fellow Arizonans my name is David and I'm in desperate need of acquiring some funds to purchase an electric bike so I can have reliable transportation to get back and forth to my job in order for me to provide for my family financially.

My truck's transmission went out a few weeks ago and it's about a $2,500 fix to get the truck back up and running and I just can't afford that so that's why I decided, why not just get an electric bike and I can commute back and forth to work and still meet my obligations to my work and my family.

However I am still unable to afford an electric bike on my own and I need some help getting some funds together to get a bike.

If any of you on this Sun city group are in a position that you could offer me some funds towards my goal of $600 for the bike then it would be greatly appreciated. You would be helping out a decent young man who is only trying to continue to provide financially for his family through our struggles.

This is my GoFundMe account page...

https://gofund.me/0a6413275

So again thank you very much, either way if you're able to contribute towards my $600 goal or not I still wish you the best in life.

Regards,

David

Hello I’m a 25F looking for some girl friends to go out for drinks, shopping, coffee dates! We can definitely swap socials. I love playing on my switch, coffee, matcha, chai you name it! I also like to check out new places like restaurants or any activity like mini golf/bowling. I have 1 Goldendoodle and 2 rescue cats. I’m actually in the Buckeye area but do have my own mode of transportation so distance is not an issue for me you can either reply or DM me either works ❣️

Help! Just moved here

Hi! As the title says, I just moved here. (new husband has been here for years, and we figured we should at least live in the same state 😂)

I moved here from Austin which is HOT but obviously it's hotter here, but I love the lack of humidity.

So, questions - I need water! Like swimming pools most likely, unless there's some secret oasis I don't know about. The neighborhood doesn't have a community pool, and the two places I've found here are only open on the weekends. Any ideas?

Next - I've been so politically active most of my life, and I've sworn to take a couple of months off from from the news. When I can't stand it anymore, what Phoenix news apps do you prefer?

Thanks for any help you can give. I'll probably be back here with more questions of that ok.

Local IT consultant: West Valley — looking to connect with other tech professionals and small-business owners

Hi Everyone — I’m based in the Surprise/West Valley area and work in IT consulting, with experience supporting Microsoft environments, endpoint management, networking, and practical cybersecurity ITDR systems like Huntress for small and midsize organizations.

I’m looking to connect with other local IT professionals, MSP owners, business owners, and anyone involved in technology decision-making around the West Valley/Phoenix area.

My goal is to learn more about the technology challenges local organizations are facing, exchange ideas, and build genuine professional connections in the community.

A few areas I enjoy helping with include:

- Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows, identity, and endpoint administration in such systems MDM environments

- Familiar with supporting Mid to small size business networks and Wi-Fi troubleshooting

- Cybersecurity basics such as MFA, phishing awareness, patching, backups, and account security

- IT documentation, device lifecycle planning, and general technology cleanup

If you work in IT locally, run a small business, or know of meetups and networking groups worth attending, I’d appreciate your recommendations. What are the most common IT or cybersecurity issues you see local businesses struggling with?

Thanks — looking forward to connecting and contributing where I can.

Places hiring immediately?

Hey everyone! I (29F) am looking for a part time job anywhere. I do have a part time job but I need a second one to work 40/50 hours a week. Do you know of any place hiring immediately? I’ve tried Mcdonald’s but they’ll only offer me overnight shifts, which doesn’t work out since I work morning shifts at my other job. I’m okay working evenings, just not until 5 am.

New and need help for my family!

TL;DR: Our family is moving from Alaska to Phoenix and will be starting over with very little. We’re hoping to connect with people who have household items, bedding, food, clothing, or other necessities they no longer need—especially things that might otherwise be donated, given away, or sold at a garage sale. ❤️

Our family is moving from Alaska to Phoenix, and I’m hoping Reddit might be able to help us get a little bit of a head start.

The move has ended up being much more expensive than we anticipated. After paying for transportation, moving our belongings, shipping our vehicles, and everything else that comes with relocating a family across states, we’re going to arrive with very little left financially.

The hardest part is that we’re essentially starting our household over. We’ll have a rental home, but very few of the things that normally make a home functional.

We also have three kids, including a teenager with Type 1 diabetes, so having food and basic necessities available right away is especially important.

Things we could genuinely use include:

- Bedding, blankets, pillows, air mattresses, sleeping bags

- Dishes, cookware, utensils, cups, etc.

- Towels and bathroom necessities

- Cleaning supplies and laundry items

- Storage bins, hangers, laundry baskets, and other organizational things

- Small furniture and other basic household items

- Nonperishable food and groceries

- Water jugs/containers and household water supplies

- Lightweight clothing suitable for the Phoenix heat

- And honestly, pretty much anything useful for setting up a home from scratch

Used is completely okay. We’re not looking for everything to be new or perfect. If you have things sitting in your garage, closet, storage unit, or a pile you’ve been meaning to donate, we’d be incredibly grateful to give them a new home.

Someone suggested I reach out here because Phoenix is a huge community, and there may be people who have things they no longer need but would rather see go directly to a family than toss them in a donation bin or spend a weekend trying to sell them.

I’ll be honest—it’s difficult for me to ask for help like this.

I’ve spent the last several years doing everything I can to keep our family moving forward. In the past four years, I’ve lost both of my parents and all of my grandparents. I’ve also survived being shot in the face, which left me deaf in one ear and with partial facial paralysis. Through all of that, I’ve continued homeschooling our three kids and doing my best to take care of my family.

We’re really hoping this move can be a fresh start for us.

So if you’re in the Phoenix area and have something you no longer need, even if it’s something you would normally put in a garage sale or donate, please feel free to reach out. You may have something sitting around that could make a surprisingly big difference for our family.

And if you don’t have anything to give, that’s completely okay too. Sharing this or pointing me toward someone who might be able to help would mean a lot.

Thank you for reading, and thank you to anyone willing to help our family get our feet underneath us as we start this new chapter. ❤️

edit- My kids are- 14f(size 7.5 shoes 10 or large bottoms large size top, 8yom size 5 in men's 10/12 or boys large in tops and bottoms and 5yom size 13 shoes 5t top and bottom

Im working with my realtor to schedule drop offs. We arrive in 12 days

Perimenopause Dr. Rec.

I am in my early 30's and because of my age I can't seem to find a doctor to take me seriously about believing I'm in perimenopause. I know that my age is out of the "normal range" but I have all the classic symptoms and I just know something isn't right. I had to push really hard todayfor my current doctor to do even a basic hormone blood test and she finally agreed when I asked her to note in my chart that she was refusing any testing. I'm not normally that pushy but I felt like I needed to advocate for myself. This was my 3rd appt woth the same complaints. With that being said, does any one have any recommendations for doctors or clinics that maybe specialize more in perimenopause/menopause or that are more open to the fact that not everyone fits perfectly into a box that is outdated.
