Do you think Taylor’s haircut signals the start of a new era? If so, what do you think this era and what kind of vibe do you think it will have?

Every time taylor was inspired by britney spears (in my opinion)

So I don't know if these moments are actually inspired by her or not, like I said it's my opinion, but I still wanted to post this because of the similarities between them.

What career could you see Taylor having if she wasn't an artist?

I feel like she'd make an excellent teacher. She engages with her fans quite often and I believe she would give the same devotion to students. Even by doing Easter Eggs as hints, I feel like she'd be able to keep students focused and engaged by making learning fun somehow. Of course, she's also has strong communication and gets her point across well, inspiring others while doing so.

a criticism of song pacing (not sure of the technical term) and lyrics.

Edit: I know there's not enough attacks for me to address this yet but I don't want to wait till it gets there. this is a subjective take, very much so, which is why im expressing it in a neutral sub. You may not feel the same, you may disagree. you can scroll away, or you can share your contrary view because I do enjoy a discussion. But please remember to be civil and respectful, not just in your response but also with other commentors. Carry your demeanour with the same civility you would if you were conversing with a person in real life. Thank you to those who have been respectful.

Pacing thing:

Something I've noticed a lot in songs post folklore era is sometimes it feels like there's too many words in a verse that it sounds like she's rushing through the lyrics to catch up with the next beat. I know the song is structured that way but it's not quite singing or rapping and it just sort of awkwardly sit in between. IDK if I'm making sense so i'll provide examples:

  1. Bejewelled: "didnt notice you walking all over my peace of mind intheshoesigaveasapresent"
  2. evermore: "andwhenIwasshipwrecked I thought of you"
  3. father figure: "youtrhoughtlesambiTION, sparked theIgniTION..."

these are some examples I can think of on the top of my head. has anyone else felt this were it kinda throws you off and I feel like I've heard this in enough songs now that they all start to sound the same

Lyrics:

A lot of lyrics as well seem unnecessarily wordy; I felt this especially in TTP like the album was trying very hard to live up to the Poet part of its name. That bridge from father figure is an example, im not gonna take TLOASG as examples for this because that entire album was lyrically revolting for me. So ill stick to the albums prior.

I once so a tweet were someone joked that TS lyrics are like "you made a mess and I was the janitor" im sure some of you may have come across that, I found it funny and scary cuz I could actually think of sons I liked which had lyrics like that:

My eyes leak acid rain (Happiness) Salt streams from my eyes (Bigger than the whole sky)

You deserve prison but you won't get time (TSMWEL) I feel this is the embodiment of that tweet.

entire bridge of guilty as sin, although nice to hear, I feel like the religious imagery was a bit overdone:

What if the way you hold me
Is actually what's holy?
If long suffering propriety
Is what they want from me
They don't know how you've haunted me
So stunningly
I choose you and me
... Religiously

I can think of more examples, but this post would get too long, and I'd like to hear your thoughts and examples as well. TTPD grew on me but some of the lyrics in that as well as the other albums sounds a little too similar to the poetry I wrote in middleschool, which at the time I thought was really good but now....So even when I like the song these things sorta throw me off.

I'd love to hear your thoughts as well on this.
