When you buy a switch to fix

When you buy a switch to fix

So nice when you buy a switch that the advert to sell says stopped working not sure what is wrong with it, arrives with strange simptoms, fan bursts full blast when connected to power.

Then you open it and notice that the emmc is in an odd position removed and you see this work of art under it...

Broke a ribbon cable when repairing controller, what is the replacement part I need?

While replacing a joystick with a Hall effect replacement my controller no longer would connect wirelessly (the leds didn’t even come on) but would work fine when connected directly to the console

On opening up again it worked when this cable was “straightened” slightly, not how it is when closed

So I tried to straighten this cable (stupid I know) and it snapped

But I’m not sure what part to order as a replacement for this, any help would be greatly appreciated?

Where to guy JIS 00 screw driver for a Switch?

Edit: Don't buy from ifixit. Their screw bits are out of spec and will strip your screw. Fuck them!

How do I remove this component in the right joycon of the Nintendo switch 1

I was doing a translucent purple joycon shell kit, and everything was going fine until I had to remove the battery. I didn’t really have proper tools so I tried to pry it out with tweezers, and the top of the black bit appears to have tore off. I tried sticking the wires back in there but it feels hopeless. I’m probably just going to order a new battery, but I still need to remove the black bit in the joycon. If theres another to fix this besides buying a new battery, someone please help 🙏

[NSW] Nintendo Switch Volume up button not working

Hey! I'm trying to repair a Nintendo Switch where the volume up (+) button is not responding. Volume down (-) and Power are working fine.

I allready replaced the flex cable.
Same behaviour. Vol + not working, Vol - and Power are working.

Any idea, what could cause this problem?

Nintendo Switch OLED Error Code: 2101-0001

I just replaced the battery to try and fix the charging issue I was having, but now am experiencing a 2101-0001 issue which I understand to be a problem with either the charging port or the M92. I personally don’t want to invest in a repair if it will cost me more than $100 because if it’s pushing $100, I may as well save for a new device. Anyone have any advice or know if this kind of thing can be looked at and fixed at a reasonable price? Stores were trying to charge me $250, and I know if I had even a beginner soldering experience, I’d be able to fix it for like less than $30.

[Switch OLED] My Switch won't dock and only charges on one side of the Usb C

I bought a Switch OLED with a mod chip, and it won't dock to the screen and only charges on the manufacturing seam side of the cable. I went to a repair shop, and they said the repair would cost $250. I want to know if any of you have an idea what's wrong with it, what I need to get fixed, and how much it would cost.

Joystick Caps?

I've been looking everywhere for replacement caps for my switch lite joysticks. I don't mean the rubber part, but the actual cap itself. Does anyone know where I can find some? Extras came when I had to replace the whole thing for stick drift, but I'd like to buy more because they pop off and end up losing them :/ Im including a picture of the replacement kit I bought with the caps I'm talking about as well and an image of my console with a popped off cap as an example of what I'm looking for. TIA :)
