It would be interesting if Symfonium could support a custom metadata field (e.g. THEME) that users could assign to albums or tracks. Themes could control backgrounds, colours, visualizers, lyric screens, etc. Users could create their own themes such as Cyberpunk, Deep Space, Gothic, Autumn Forest, Tron, etc.

Say I wanted to use symfonium to download a mess of songs to the local cache, but have the ability for other apps to use the downloaded local cache of my library (like Poweramp or whatever). Is this possible?

I've read the docs but maybe missed something... Thanks all!

After a few hours of testing, I finally got synchronized lyrics working in Symfonium without:

- .lrc files

- embedded lyrics in FLAC or MP3

- modifying my music library

My setup:

- TrueNAS SCALE 25.10

- Navidrome 0.62.0

- Symfonium 14.1.0

The solution was:

1. Install the "nd-lyrics" plugin for Navidrome.
2. Enable it without write permissions.
3. Configure:

ND_LYRICSPRIORITY=nd-lyrics,.lrc,.txt,embedded

I originally tried:

ND_LYRICSPRIORITY=plugin,.lrc,.txt,embedded

but Navidrome reported:

Lyrics plugin not found plugin=plugin

Using the actual plugin ID (`nd-lyrics`) solved it immediately.

Now Symfonium displays synchronized lyrics directly from Navidrome without creating .lrc files or modifying any FLAC files.

Hopefully this helps someone else, because most discussions I found only suggested embedding lyrics or managing thousands of .lrc files.

Here are the exact steps that worked for me.

1. Install the plugin:

3. Copy `nd-lyrics.ndp` into Navidrome's `plugins` folder.
4. In Navidrome:
5. - Go to **Plugins**
6. - Click **Rescan**
7. - Enable the plugin
8. - Grant access to your music library (read-only is enough)
9. - **Do NOT enable write access**
10. - **Do NOT enable "Write lyrics to files"**

4. Add this environment variable to Navidrome:
   ND_LYRICSPRIORITY=nd-lyrics,.lrc,.txt,embedded

5. Restart Navidrome.

That's it! Symfonium immediately started displaying synchronized lyrics.

Hey friends,

So just booted up synfonium for the first time. Looking good, however one oddity. So taking for example this album (Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of 'Inside Llewyn Davis) which has a whole mix of artists. But it's created artists page for every individual whose featured on a song. Which is annoying giving I primarily browse via artists!

Is there anyway to change this?

I've ran out of space on sd card and have to move to a larger one. Last time I did this, I cloned my old SD exactly and readded it to the media provider. However, it seems symfonium didn't recognize all my albums as the same ones as before and none of my Playlists worked anymore. I even tried changing the ID of the sd card to no avail. Has anyone had any luck doing this? I'd like to avoid manually recreating all my Playlists again. Thanks!

Does anyone know if there’s a way to merge two songs together, so that one plays immediately after another automatically? Set it up so that every time song A plays, song B plays next.

I've kept my Jellyfin server at v10.10.7 for a long time because of issues with v11 and Symfonium. Anyone know if Jellyfin v12 is compatible?

I'd love to scroll through album art while listening but haven't found any in app way to achieve this. Looks like Symphonium might be best chance but I havent found a way with it.

Does anyone here have this set up with any music player?

So I use Navidrome, but instead of streaming, I want an offline mirror of my entire library on my phone since Wi-Fi is not available everywhere and mobile data is costly. I still want it to sync listening activity and everything else, but just not stream the songs themselves to save data and navidrome can also update listening counts and scrobble to services like Last.fm from the server side. Is something like this possible? FYI, my library is around 2,150 songs, and I have plenty of storage on my phone to store ~20x that size, so space is not an issue.
