Tecno Pova 5 Pro (LH8n) stuck on October 2023 build (EU version) – OTA update path broken?

Hey guys,

I’m facing a really frustrating issue with my Tecno Pova 5 Pro (Model: LH8n). The device is completely stuck on a very old software build from October 2023: LH8n-H333M-T-EU-231017V212929.

It hasn't received a single security patch or OTA update in over 6 months. When I manually check for updates in the system settings, it just says the software is "up to date," which is obviously not true since Android 14 / HiOS 14 has been out for this model globally for a while now.

Here is what I’ve already tried to force it, but with zero success:

Changing device regions (tried India, UAE, Malaysia without SIM card).

Clearing cache and data of the "System Update" app, Google Play Services, and Carlcare app.

The official Carlcare support via WhatsApp/Messenger is completely unresponsive or just sends automated bot links.

It seems like the OTA path for this specific European (EU) batch/IMEI range is totally blocked or abandoned by Tecno servers.

Has anyone else with the EU model faced this? Is there a reliable way to manually flash the official Android 14 zip file for the EU region without bricking the device, or am I just stuck forever on Android 13?

Any help, links to official firmware stock ROMs, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Tecno Pova 6 Pro firmware

How to remove the red number notification?

My phone is pova 6 pro 5g. The number 4 on the bottom right has been there a few months now but I cant find what the notification is about to remove the number. Today the 1 on the Play Store appeared and I deleted all the notification in playstore but no dice. Its driving me nuts. Any idea how to get rid of these?

RED STATE (HELP)

I have a tecno pova 7 ultra i unlocked the bootloader then flashed a gsi but then i got tired and tried to flash stock rom from needrom it worked but when i locked it it came "red state device cant boot enter repair mode dismiss after 5 sec" and it keeps boot looping pls help i cant access recovery and fastboot and mtkauthbypasstoolv30 doesn't work on my chipset

Issues on Camon 40 after updating to Android 16

I updated my Camon 40 to HiOS 16 (I forgot the exact date but within the year). At first I really didn't paid much attention to my apps thinking it was in-app glitches. However I tried to use another app (Shopee) and that's when I noticed that the letters or texts are truncated or cut off. I thought its with Shopee, so I did a few troubleshooting, but it didn't work. I tried changing the fonts and display and they're all in the smallest scale in my settings. I did a few search and continued troubleshooting my phone. I decided to try a different font. It somehow worked but not fully. Tried the Carlcare thing but didn't helped. Currently backing up my files to do a factory reset. I have to double check and there are no new updates.

Anybody else have this issue?
