Stencil in place. Let the Sun rise :)

Doing a complete sleeve with various points from different games/comics that have meant a lot to me.

The logo you see under Amaterasu, is the symbol of Hope from Lantern Corp. Dc Comics

And of course, Okami Amaterasu in all her glory!

finally sharing my tattoo after 6 months

got this tattoo about 6 months ago, and i figured it’s finally time to share it here. its a reminder of a lovely chapter of my life. the ink is settled, but not the memory.

I think i will get more in future because it’s a therapy.

People with full back tattoos, how painful was it? (1 to 10)

I already have 11 tattoos, so I’m not new to getting tattooed. The most painful one I’ve had so far was on my oblique.
I’m now thinking about getting a full back tattoo, and I’d love to hear from people who have one.
How would you rate the pain on a scale of 1 to 10? Which part of your back hurt the most? How many sessions did it take, and how long was each session?

Tattoo design good or regrettable?

-Tattoo Done Recently-

This tattoo design was something I’ve seen on a lot of people and I think it’s cool. I have been looking at it more since finally getting it and I am conflicted. Inspired by LP and other 2000’s icons of a flame design wrap around tattoo. I have been trying to decide if it will end up being a cover up or apart of a full sleeve. Wanting some feedback, thanks.

I worked with my artist and he hand drew every flame on my arm and did his own personal style on it. As well as other artists in the shop agreed and liked the way it had turned out. He told me he loves to draw in a very traditional style. I feel like it should be approached as art but now I am just curious about the look.

Do you think the traditional goes with the more realism tattoo I have, also a wrap around tattoo. I am also looking for ideas for rework and suggestions on colors.

What do y’all think about this half-sleeve I got a few years back? (Characters: Ken Kaneki, Itachi Uchiha, and Ryomen Sukuna.) I’d also love some suggestions for completing the full sleeve.

Advise on deciding my first forearm tattoo --" I chose something else" From the movie 'trainspotting'.

Hey everyone, this is going to be first tattoo . Initially i planned on getting " choose life " tattoo from the same movie but I had second thoughts as I might grow out of it . This connects to me more deeply as I was always told I'm a bit unique often . Even though the movies context differs slightly . This is also similar to "i chose to differ" . I am confused between getting just the words or something in addition to it like the ones i attached.

Share your thoughts.Thank you in advance

Want a tattoo, having doubts.

Thinking of getting a line of Sanskrit script down my forearm but I have a few nagging doubts:

1. Judgment from older Desis (particularly family members)

2. How it will look on my skin tone.
I think I have medium-brown skin? Though I tan to a deeper brown. I'm worried that the ink will not be prominent/fade quickly/turn greenish. The greenishness is my biggest concern.

3. Afraid of regret.
Either because of the judgement, how it looks, or the ink turning green. I also don't know how it will look/whether I will still like it 30 years down the line when I age. I feel like I'll get even more judgement than I would now because I never see older adults with tattoos, let alone Desi ones. I'm afraid it'll look trashy.

Any and all advice is appreciated! :)

First tattoo (2 days old) – Silverex or unscented moisturizer for aftercare?

Title: First tattoo (2 days old) – Silverex or unscented moisturizer for aftercare?

Hi everyone,

I got my first tattoo two days ago and want to make sure I'm taking care of it properly.

My tattoo artist told me to apply Silverex twice a day, pat the tattoo dry after showering, and use Vaseline petroleum jelly before showering to keep water off it.

However, I've read a lot of posts here recommending unscented moisturizer/lotion instead, and a friend also told me to avoid Vaseline because it can trap moisture.

So I'm a bit confused.

Is Silverex actually a good choice for tattoo aftercare? If so, how long should I use it? If not, when should I switch to an unscented moisturizer? Also, is using Vaseline before showering a good idea, or should I skip it?

The tattoo looks fine so far with no signs of infection. I just want to make sure it heals properly and keeps the ink looking its best.

Thanks in advance!

Advice for new tattoo- placement and size?

I want to get 2 tattoos, but confused about placement. I am thinking the doggo one on left arm (same placement) and semicolon on right arm(right side). Both face me because i want to look at them (the photo is reflecting that view only- will be upside down to the world but i care less about that). I’ll appreciate any thoughts, recommendations or being pointed towards some things I may not have considered?

And what size should it be? I read recently that as tattoos age they start to smudge. I would ideally like it to be slightly smaller than the stencil in the picture, but want to make a decision basis how this might age.

Also sharing images of two tattoos I got done on my leg about 2 years ago. the heart in one of them is slightly smudgy but that could also just be the hair blocking view. But any thoughts on the work of the tattoo artist? Planning to go to the same place.
