I’ve noticed that I encounter significantly more aggressive drivers when using FSD compared to driving manually. It seems like no matter how much FSD picks up the pace, there’s always someone riding my bumper or trying to go even faster, even when I’m using Hurry mode.
I usually end up disengaging FSD and taking over to better adapt to the flow of traffic and the driving behavior around me. That’s probably why my FSD usage sits around 56–60%.
For context, I’m 24 and have been driving for eight years, so I’m fairly comfortable handling different traffic situations. I just find myself intervening more often than I’d like when using FSD.
I’m curious how everyone else handles this. Do you just let FSD do its thing and ignore the tailgaters, or do you disengage and take control when traffic gets aggressive?

I’m looking at getting the Tesla model YL. I saw there was an update last week for some of the Tesla models, is it confirmed that this has been passed into the model YL or should I wait for placing my order until an update comes through?

I’m not in a huge rush to order but would like a car by February so have a bit of time if the update hasn’t come in yet

Is there a list of confirmed changes of the update if it has already come into place?

Has anyone else noticed that since the 14.whatever update, when we upgraded to version 14, the car just hugs the gutter? It almost drives on the gutters or right along the left side of the lane, which is frightening for the passenger because other cars whiz past them, even parked cars. Also, if the road is a bit rough on the side, it becomes very bumpy and horrible. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi everyone, I spoke to a Tesla advisor and told me all variants of Model Y has 5% discount if I order today.
Does this mean it applies to old inventory before 1st October release? That is without V2L.
I’m looking at model y rwd.

Was planning to buy the Tesla Model 3 Premium Long Range RWD (750 km WLTP) after a test drive but they just announced the base RWD (572 km WLTP) and now I can’t decide which one to order. The new RWD isn't available for test drives yet and it is my first EV, so I'd be grateful for your advice.

I drive:
- 150 km each way once a week, mostly on the highway at 100-110 km/h so about 300 km round trip
- Up to 100 km of city driving across the rest of the week

For charging:
- No home charging for foreseeable future
- Superchargers near me and on the 300km round trip although it’s a long day so I’d prefer not to charge on the trip back
- May be able to plug into a standard wall socket for 24 hours straight before the weekly 300km round trip

I was thinking of the premium LR RWD mainly due to range anxiety and the likelihood that I could get by on one supercharge a week. I’m not too fussed about the additional features apart from speakers (7 vs 9) and suspension (passive shock absorbers vs second-generation suspension with noise reduction).

What would you suggest? Do you think the base RWD would cover my range at highway speeds and in (the mild Australian) winter or should I get the LR RWD as planned for peace of mind? Would you charge the base RWD to 100% and the LR RWD to 80% or would 100% before the 300km round trip be okay? Would I notice a difference in the speakers and suspension? Anything else to consider?

We are new model y owners and loving it, got the Evnex charger installed when we got the car and love watching solar charge the car on the app. Get fully into dad mode and bore the family to death with it!

We just put in the goodwe battery, 24kw. Again, amazing! The sems app will allow it to charge from the sun then discharge after or you can set charge/discharge times and rates.

I intended to charge the car at the 8c rate with agl (solar when home and available) and got the battery thinking I didn’t want to use it for the car.

But if I charge the car overnight I have the option to limit the battery draw or shut it off at a specific SOC, those sort of things.

But I can also ask to get the sensors in the meter board changed so the charger is totally independent.

Questions for those who have the same setup, what battery settings do you use? Do you know how it was wired?

Am I better off swapping the charger to the goodwe?

Or, most likely, am I try too much to cut my power bill.

I placed an order for a Tesla Model Y RWD and told the advisor that I will be overseas next week until 10th November.
I am worried my delivery might fall on a date when I am away. Told me they have 7 days holding period after the original delivery date.
What is the current timeline from order date to delivery?

Purchased last week with the VIN already assigned (car was in stock).

All paid for, rego applied for, still waiting for a delivery date?

How long roughly for cars in stock to be “ready”?

Also, any sort of acceptance checklists?
