Anyone know how long it usually takes from unloading to delivery?
Anyone that received a vin recently with late Jul to early Aug know what ship it’s on?
I think he hit both of us, sped off and weaved through traffic to get away. Sigh. Got his plate though, so guess who will hopefully get a visit from the police soon.
Updated last night hw4 juniper model y and drove it this morning. Amazing changes.
- moved into lanes in readiness to turn a lot earlier. Use to be 200m max now it is as much as 1.5km
- much more assertive on hurry mode (Only used it on hurry mode)
- much quicker off the lights and got to speed much quicker
- able to spot road blocks much earlier and made the decision to reroute much quicker before it even got to the road block
- more assertive on roundabouts and turning. On v13 it would sometimes make small corrections while in the middle of the turn.
- it stays between 4-5km/hr higher than speed limit. Max speed limit I encountered on my drive was 80km/hr and it stayed between 3-5km/hr above 80km/hr
- parked in driveway albeit the wrong one because we’re in a duplex. Was smooth going into driveway no hesitation.
Overall much more human like on hurry mode even the wife was impressed and will use it more now.
I know shit happens.... But it tends to happen a lot more to me ! Anyway driving on the freeway my new model y rwd , stone comes off someone's tyers Inna contraction zone and smashes into my windscreen. And not just anyplace in the windscreen...it landed Right front of the camera housing ! It started off as a small crack then I woke up this morning and it had spread to like 20 cm long. Suffice to say I need a new windscreen. Tesla quoted me 2k to replace . Anyone how I do this through insurance ? I'm with sg fleet and Vero. I called them and they just directed me to windscreen O'Brian. I want to use tesla and have a choice of repairer on my policy with windscreen waiver cover. Anyone know what the process is here... I need this sorted asap as I don't really want to drive the car like this for long distances as the crack is just getting larger everyday...
I just got an alert while in the car that the update was available. Maybe they're commencing the rollout again?
It said the FSD version was 14.3.3 in the release notes. I don't think that's an updated version vs the earlier release. I wonder if they even changed anything?
Interestingly, but I guess not fully surprising, if you add fsd as an factory option with Zurich InsureMyTesla the premium discounts by (I think) $100 a year. I realise that it costs a lot more than that... But if you decide fsd isn't for you I wouldn't think it would void warranty or would it .... Time to read the fine print I guess.
Edit: Pretty sure I should notify them if I cancel fsd as my car would have affectively changed... However would they police it. Probs not worth the risk of not updating the policy if I cancel fsd later.

One month in with my Model Y RWD and I have been so surprised by how much I enjoy driving it. Particularly like the throttle, steering and suspension tuning compared to other EVs I've experienced prior. All the issues I have with the car are with the tech and the reliance on the screen (which obviously was apparent before purchase and wasn't a deal breaker, hence the purchase)
I am hoping to get some help with a few things though -
All doors make a rattle on closing - I assume this is because of the frameless doors because it's consistent on all doors. Reviews said this was fixed with the Juniper so I'm wondering if this is an issue or non-issue
Is there any way to swap the contents of the screen? I never use the simulated driving display thing which shows what's around me etc and would prefer to have my sat-nav or music closer to me
I've had one really startling experience with phantom breaking and wanted to ask if people have found any particular situations where it happens so I can brace myself and be prepared to override/ cancel auto steer
I feel like I barely ever use the brakes, is this not compromising safety by letting the pads go cold and unused?
Any suggestions for a neck pillow that fits will with the seat? I like how the OEM looks but can't find any reviews to inform my decision
I haven't gotten to parking it outdoors on a sunny day yet thanks to Melbourne weather but is the roof tinting sufficient for Aussie sun? Visually it does seem quite significantly tinted
Edit: 7. Car is still on factory software after a month and 2000ks despite being connected to WiFi from day 1. Main problem with this is that it refuses to update the firmware on my Tesla Mobile Charger, so I'm stuck at 8 Amps for charging
Sorry guys this is another one of those VIN questions.. may be I am just excited and losing my patience but what is the usual wait time until VIN is assigned?
I know it depends on spec, anyone have same order as mine? What was your experience?

With the recently produced M3 have they moved to a black headliner and the 16 inch screen? I believe the MY have in full, but I haven't confidently seen if the M3 has changed over yet.
Hi I just installed a 6.6kw PV and 6kw hybrid 3 phase inverter along with a Tesla wall charger. I am in perth. To be able to charge using super off peak at 8cts/kw is awesome.
Wondering if I should get a 12.8kw battery now as not sure about the ROI and the payoff period. The battery would cost $5600AUD and my last year electric bill including ev charging which I was only charging at 20cts/kw (which I used to charge at night only. But now with the wall charger, I can charger everything at the super off peak) is $2500 in total.
That said, I was quite conservative on the aircon and heater usage, turning on only after 9pm when it was off peak.
what sort of enclosure or lock box have people used to stop their charger being damage and cables stolen? our charger is going into an open carport, so the cables could be stolen easily.
Can someone share how they have setup their WiFi connection in their Tesla. I know there is nothing much to it, but every time I get into my car in the garage, I see that it is not connected to wifi and I need to connect again. I think this could be preventing me from receiving updates
Does Tesla FSD finally have some competition?!
We’ve had our Model Y for 6 months, and live in regional Victoria. This morning, the Frunk sensor lost its mind, thinking it was open when it wasn’t. We put in a call to Tesla service and after loads of back and forth, they arranged for it to be towed to Melbourne for a quick fix and then returned same day (which is actually amazing) - they initially weren’t going to do the tow home, meaning we’d have to get a train to Melbourne next week and collect - so props to the service team for genuinely listening to us.
I see so many Teslas around town, and 10-fold over summer with tourists - just putting it out there in the hope that Tesla look into their local support structures for people a few hours away from service centres. There has to be a better way?
Has anyone had a similar experience living outside or, or visiting away from the city?
It's starting to get mildly annoying. Is it paused, is it released? The last official word is that it's rolling out from mid June, would be nice if the status wasn't so opaque. hw4 m3 subscription
