Is this a new tattoo?

Is this a new tattoo?

Saw this on Joe's Instagram and was curious if anyone knows if its a new tattoo/what it is. Also if someone has a list of all his tattoos I would be interested! I find it so interesting

Patreon Issue

Does anyone else keep experiencing this as well? It makes it difficult since things seem to be more visual lately.

do we think i can justify going to the la show?

hey y'all! so i want to go to the la show so bad, but i'm sure y'all know that it is a litttttle pricey - just under $60 per person. yes, i know that many live shows for comedians, musicians, etc. are much more than this, but i'm on a tight budget. imy gf and i make under $50k a yr combined, and we pay about $2.6k a month in rent, so we have less than $20k a yr to spend after paying rent. if i wanted to go with my gf, we'd have to sit in the very back if we wanted to sit together, but if i went alone (half the cost, although maybe less fun to go alone), i could sit in the second section to the front - since i wouldn't go if i wasn't paying the lowest ticket price. for context, i've been checking pretty much daily, and they haven't sold out of the cheapest la tickets quite yet. the la show is also the day after joe's birthday, which would be fun to go to. i've never been to the youtube theater - i've been to the forum, which is an actual nightmare to get picked up from, and they're right around the corner from each other, and it would be an hour and a half on transit, so i'd have to figure out transport, esp since parking is like $40, so if anyone is local or familiar with the venue and has insight on that lmk pls. the basement yard is my favorite podcast of all time, they're the only currently running podcast i'll watch every episode of, and they're my favorite comedians right now. my concern is that i'll regret the ticket price, because i've seen comedians live - or even a live taping - and not liked it as much. kurtis conner, for instance - love his youtube videos, couldn't get through his stand up (sorry kurt). i'm not 100% sure what the live show is gonna look like, and ik none of us do, but maybe i like them in the pod/santagato studios format but i wouldn't like them live? i kind of doubt i wouldn't enjoy the show, but i just get nervous bc what if i don't have a good time lol idk. there are a bunch of tiny comedy theaters in la that do a ton of shows with ppl like smosh, dropout, etc., and those tickets are never more than $20-30, and it's a rly intimate setting where there are no bad seats. this would be the biggest theater i've ever seen comedy in - i mean, it's so big that there's an orchestra section and a balcony section. the theater i go to often has less than 100 seats - the youtube theater has 6,000. i like the idea of sitting close, even if i'm by myself, i just wish i could sit with my gf up close but ik that isn't an option, and ig it would be better to only pay for one ticket anyways. i guess if anyone went to the first tour if you could give me insight on how similar it is to the pod, if you went to a big venue and if that detracted from the experience at all, if you went with a friend or smthn or just by yourself, how much the ticket was and if it felt worth it, and any other insight you want to offer? i'm sure the la show will sell out eventually, and i really really want to go, but we're in a financial situation where even with food stamps, we have like $300 to spend on groceries for both of us per month max. i secretly am hoping that someone in my life (idk like parents or smthn, but they aren't in the best financial situation either lol) will surprise me with tickets. ofc, maybe they wouldn't know exactly where i'd wanna sit, but for free tickets i'll sit anywhere lol. pls give me insight, advice, etc. if you can. do we think i should do it, or is it a stupid financial decision? ik ppl are probably gonna try to convince me to go, and yes ofc i want to, but i want someone to give me like as objective a take as possible haha. ty guys in advance :-) also for context i'm 24f and my gf is 23f

Patreon struggles-advice?

Adding the chat photos here, have found a few people new and not new who are having issues with patreon interface. Specifically in terms of going back to watch all the patreon exclusive eps and not knowing which ones those are.

I got as far as noticing the labels on the audio versions that say The Extra Yard and Patreon. Both could be the exclusives but also eps with both kinda of label are on youtube for free... From what I saw, so anyone got any clarity or tips on this??

Patreon sucks and never loads

I’ve been subscribed to their Patreon since October of 2022 and within the last month or two every single time I go to watch a video on Patreon this always come up.

It pisses me off to no end. It will load perfectly fine when I watch it in the morning after tapping the notification from Patreon and then everytime after that it will not.

It will say “this video couldn’t load” but the audio will play. I exit the app and reload probably 5 times and it will still say the same thing. And so I’m like fine whatever and tap “watch on YouTube” and then it takes me to YouTube on safari and so I hit “open app” to watch it on YouTube and then it just takes me to the App Store so then I just have to watch it in my browser and try to skip to where I think I left off💀💀💀

It this happening to anyone else?

I just had to rant because it just happened rn with the new episode.

Best way to switch between watching and listening to Patreon episodes?

’m thinking about subscribing to The Basement Yard Patreon, but I’m curious what everyone does for listening/watching.
With most episodes, I’ll usually switch back and forth multiple times — I might watch part of it, then lock my phone and just listen while I’m driving or doing something, then go back to watching later.
Ideally, I’d like to be able to do that without constantly having to find my spot again. What do you guys do? Does the Patreon app work well for this, or is there a better way to switch back and forth between watching and listening?

Listening through old episodes has some funny moments

Just listening to "It's the Little Things" from Aug 13 and there's a moment about 11 min in where they are discussing potential names for Frank's kids and Joe says something along the lines of "Just please for god sake don't go with a gem name like Emerald or Ruby!!!!". That aged well haha

They need a break

I’ve definitely noticed a spike in negative posts over the last year, and honestly I can’t say I disagree with some of the points, but I think what’s actually affecting the quality of the content is that they literally never take a break from work or from each other. They genuinely need some time apart for the content to feel fresh again. A month or two away isn’t gonna hurt anybody, if anything I think it would do them some good. Let the fans miss them a little too.
