A good officer. A damn good officer.
I once had a CW3 very excitedly pull me aside and tell me what the problem was, what the solution needed to be, and how the solution needed to be executed in highly exacting detail. Naturally, I just stood there and listened patiently as she explained everything.
And then she just stopped dead in her tracks.
"Or, am I over-officer'ing this?"
I remained silent.
"Understood, Sergeant. Carry on."
I don't believe in love at first sight, but I came damn close that day.
