My brother has several unopened packs of shark bite fittings. They are roughly 50 dollars each probably close to 800 dollars total. He paid for them cash but can’t find the receipt. They are left over from a huge job. Can he return these items tote store I purchased them?

Thanks for responding

Don't buy physical HD Gift Cards

I get there's probably rampant fraud issues with these cards but they are the WORST physical gift card formats out there. I always have issues with the PIN near-scratching off and being difficult to read but can usually make them out. Today, however was the worst I've ever had and it's totally shredded and trash. Tried multiple ways to see it and just got worse as I went.

Got this as a gift for Christmas so don't have the receipt and don't even know the amount (my bad, I threw away the holder when I got the card) so I'm just SOL.

Tell your relatives to get you a Lowe's gift card next Christmas! That's what I'm doing!

What happens if I have the barcode for an item off a top shelf off my phone?

Basically, I needed some tiles off the top of this shelf and the employees here always refuse to get it down. We need literally like 2 boxes but the only place they have is on a pallet on the top shelf. I'm curious if I take a picture of the barcode of the ones I currently have and pay, if they have to take them down..

Tim Cole Logistics is Trash

Was supposed to have a few large appliances delivered by Temco Logistics, a third-party vendor.

They pushed our delivery slot back four times (so 4 hours) and then called BEFORE the delivery slot they assigned us to say they were lost. We called them back literally 5 minutes after their call and they said their truck was done for the day.

All of this would’ve been OK except they were extremely rude about it when we called them.

We canceled our order and gave Home Depot a scathing review about them. I’m sure it will go nowhere.

However, Temco logistics doesn’t have much of an online presence, so maybe this Reddit posit will serve as one.

But honestly, I know this happens with third party vendors but wtf.

Lowe’s Pro Vs HD Pro

We spend $100,000+ with both outfits and Home Depot is by far the better provider for commercial accounts in my opinion. Can somebody help me out if I could be doing something better from an admin perspective. Just lost all my points because they expire at the end of June. I knew this was coming so I got $800 worth out mid June but kind of expected a grace period for the points earned in the last couple of weeks of the month. Seems like a crap policy to make people police their points because some take 6 months to expire while others take 1 day. Seems like there should be some sort of roll over period. Also, in comparison to HD their portal blows (not that HD is great but it certainly blows less). I know they aren’t a tech company but man could they do better. I can’t export a list of purchased items, only the overview. The search isn’t dynamic at all so I can’t find things by credit card used, location purchased, dollar amount. Pretty much anything that made sense 20 yrs ago to add is still missing. Am I just incompetent or does their dashboard / portal leave a lot to be desired?

Truck rental

Truck rental insurance

Wanting to rent a truck for a move.

When it says we need insurance, is that just regular insurance for your own car?

How thoroughly do they check when you go to rent? Is it fine if I just show my pink slip? (I’m in Ontario waterloo btw) I have insurance I’m just wondering if I need to modify the policy and show proof of that or is it more just “as long as you show me you have a pink slip” kind of deal?

Grand Duchess tree Home Depot

Does anyone know if Home Depot is bringing back the Grand duchess tree this year? I can’t find any info on it and their website link to the tree doesn’t even exist anymore.

Military Discount voids ability for price match

Just found out that using a military discount on a full priced item, voids a customers ability to get a price adjustment when the item is discounted more than the 10 percent military discount. They consider the purchase not at full price. That's pretty shitty if you ask me. Why not just refund the difference. Especially since I could re buy and return the $2500 item. Seems foolish.and wastes everyone's time.

Do better Home Depot!

can’t order this online for pickup because it’s “on clearance”. Go to the store, it’s regular price, and not a darn thing the manager can do. The manager confirmed it is indeed on clearance, but the price doesn’t actually drop for 2-6 weeks. WTF?

I also added a blower to the deal, and Home Depot let $750 walk out the door.

Renting HD van 1.5 hrs before closing—can I keep it overnight for the 90-min rate? CANADA

If I rent a cargo van 1 hour and 20 minutes before Tool Rental closes and return it the exact minute they open tomorrow, what happens? Will the system automatically charge me the full $120 daily rate, or can I get away with the 90-minute base rate? Any HD employees know if the system forces the charge? Thanks!

Why can't I make an account or check out at all?

Any time I try to make an account or check out, it says "There was a temporary technical issue.". I've cleared my cache history and tried different browsers but the result is the same. What's the deal?

Anyone know how a veteran can get a window installed?

My parents, dad turns 80 next month. 1-9 Marine (not that that deserves him any favors but who does deserve favors)…they need one window. Installed. Correct.

It’s an Anderson window and in the Midwest. If you’re at Home Depot, you know exactly who because they’ve contacted your COO. How can I get this done for my parents? It’s been hell. You keep this going, your “loyal” customers will know how many veterans you’ve screwed. Can’t wait for you to delete this for your PR.

Respectfully,

Brought to you courtesy, of the red white and blue

Custom Plygem window order doesn’t fit.

I went to Home Depot with detailed measurements of my rough opening and the guy behind the counter at windows helped us order our windows.

We expressed that these were our rough opening measurements. He understood.

The windows that came are EXACTLY the rough opening dimensions, which means they don’t fit.

A couple are even larger by a 1/4 it seems.

Shouldn’t the windows be a bit smaller so that they can fit the rough opening?

Has anyone else ordered custom and what was that experience like?

Thanks!

When the windows

Hub Group Home Depot Perris - Is the $23/hour + $0.54 CPM pay legit?

I’m considering a local CDL-A flatbed job with Hub Group on the Home Depot account in Perris, CA.
The offer says:
$23/hour + $0.54 CPM
Home daily
Monday–Friday
Average weekly gross: $1,695
3 PM to around 3 AM

Is this pay realistic? Does anyone currently drive or recently drove on the Home Depot Perris account?

I’m looking for recent experiences. How does the hourly + CPM pay work in practice, and is the advertised pay realistic?

Thinking About Windows from Home Depot? Forget it.

It has already been over five years since all of this began. When we first moved into this house, we decided to replace all the windows and eventually chose Home Depot. We trusted them because they are a large company and believed they would take responsibility if anything went wrong.

However, the subcontractors they sent immediately made us uneasy. On the very first day, they admitted that they had never handled a project of this scale before. That should have been our warning sign.

Our house is old, and due to updated building codes, we were told that all new windows had to be double pane. The cost was extremely high. Even before the installation began, things felt disorganized. Five different people came out just to measure the windows, yet the windows they manufactured ended up being five inches too small.

On top of that, they repeatedly broke the glass. Some windows arrived already shattered, while others were broken during installation. They would yell and swear at each other as if we were not even there, which made the entire experience very uncomfortable.

Because they kept breaking and remaking the windows, it took nearly two years to complete the full replacement of our home’s windows.

But that was not the end of the problem.

Every time it rained heavily during the Florida summer, water started leaking in from different windows. When we contacted Home Depot, they dismissed the issue without even inspecting it, insisting it must be a roofing problem and telling us not to bring it up with them.

So we had the roof inspected. The roofing professionals clearly stated that the water intrusion was coming through the windows, not the roof. It was obvious to us as well.

When we reported this back, someone finally came out. But fixing one window would only lead to another leaking shortly after. This cycle repeated over and over again. It was exhausting and incredibly frustrating.

Now, more than five years later, yet another window is leaking again. We are completely fed up. Of course, they are no longer responding to our calls.

There is more. When we recently removed our kitchen countertop for a remodel, we discovered a hole about the size of a quarter beneath the kitchen window. The contractors told us that water had been leaking through that area for years, and one entire section of the wall had completely rotted, making it difficult to proceed with the work.

Even after reporting this, we still receive no response.

If anyone has advice on how to properly resolve this situation, I would greatly appreciate it.

And to anyone considering getting windows installed through Home Depot, I strongly urge you to reconsider.

What is my job as service desk lead

I've only been with Home Depot for about 7 months and I recently became Service Desk Lead. I'm trying to figure out if I was trained incorrectly or if I'm just misunderstanding what my responsibilities are.

Since getting lead, I've been told I need to audit all of our orders, but some of our orders are kept outside of the service desk. I was also told I need to be at the service desk at all times because a leader is supposed to be up there. Recently ! found out the DS isn't supposed to just be used as coverage, so I'm confused how I'm supposed to balance everything.

I've also been told I need to:
Do special order on hands every day
Audit deliveries every morning
Audit deliveries at night if I'm closing
Keep up with all order audits

I'm trying to make sure I'm doing everything I'm supposed to, but it feels like I'm being pulled in different directions between staying at the desk and completing lead responsibilities.
Is this normal for a Service Desk Lead? What does your day to day usually look like?
