AKA Who gets custody of Brandon Flowers.

Hi all, I'm getting married in October and as a life long Victim, I would love to use their music somewhere within my wedding. Im not talking in the disco (as they will definitelybe there!), but either in the church or as a first dance. Just wondering if anyone else has used their music and if so which songs and what part of the wedding?

I enjoyed hot fuss, I think Sam’s town is one of the top five albums of the 21st-century, and day and age was also a fantastic album—9 out of 10.

However, I felt battle born was a very weak album with the exception of a couple of songs.

Did the band get the vibe back with their next album “ wonderful, wonderful”? or is it in more in the vain of “ battle born”? (I understand some people really like this album, but it is not my jam).

Interested to know before I spend money on the album (yes, I still buy my albums).

Honest opinions, please.

I know they’re not massive venues, but looks like the UK tour essentially sold out straight away, I think it’s worth reflecting on how strong and solid the demand is for Brandon after all these years!

A lot of people couldn’t rely on that kind of ticket demand. Testament that despite not having as many ‘hits’ later in his/their career, the following is deep and strong.

I saw a post about whether Brandon will play much TK stuff on his solo tour, and while I don’t think he will play much of the traditional TK content, I think there will be lots of Pressure Machine.

It just feels like it makes sense. PM never got its own tour and obviously is something Brandon is very proud of. Also I feel that PM songs will blend in a setlist a lot better with Thrasher than they would with most of Flamingo and TDE (not to say he will neglect those two albums, I think we’ll get plenty).

But I can see songs like Quiet Town, Cody, Sleepwalker, Runaway Horses, Desperate Things, Pressure Machine and The Getting By all fitting seamlessly into a solo setlist. Heck the whole album at this point.

Anyway, that’s the beauty of live music, it will be surprise!

How all the tickets got sold out immediately after opening?! I couldn’t get London, but got Bournemouth…

How was your experience with the tickets in this pre sale?

Is anyone else hoping that Pressure Machine could feature heavily in the upcoming tour? Was blown away by that album and was delighted to hear Brandon drift further down that country road with Thrasher. Would love to see a few tunes make the setlist!

Jo Whiley just said on air Brandon would be on the show next week.

As an aside, Plans is getting a fair bit of play on Radio 2, and the presenters have been really positive about it! Taking time to say how much they like it.

Radio 2 is the radio station with the biggest audience in Europe, so nice exposure.

Otherwise only Virgin Radio UK have picked the song up on rotation here in the UK.

In the US it was sent only so far to ‘Triple A’ stations, and it’s getting a fair few adds, the second most added song this week (but fairly small audience on this format).

As a longtime fan of both The Killers and Brandon, as well as country music I am very excited for this album. It has felt like The Killers have been trending this way, from cowboy hats in My own souls warning video, and Pressure Machine having some light country vibes.
