I know we haven't heard the studio arrangement yet but, based on how Brandon described his two solo records, it strikes me that Miss America sounds more like the somber, Pressure-Machine-adjacent one than the "romantic" country album about to be released. We also didn't see it on the lyric book shown off from the Thrasher launch party
I’ve always been a guitar player (as well as a big fan of The Killers), but I saw this on eBay for a very good price and decided to get it as it is pretty much the integral sound of Hot Fuss.
I’m amazed at how Brandon primarily used so many of the original patches from this on Hot Fuss, but I can’t lie, it’s been a pretty fun day going through them all and playing along to the songs!
I will ask though, does anybody know the exact patches for some of the songs and did Brandon continue to use the MicroKorg during the making of Sam’s Town?

I wasn’t alive for release so I don’t know how big it was. But today it’s no. 24 on the US streaming chart. It was no.6 the day before iceman. It was one of 7 non Drake songs yesterday. It’s spending more time than ever in the uk singles chart. It’s basically having 40-50 weeks at a time (I think the rule is 5 drops in a row and it’s out of the chart)am I correct?
My closest friend just passed. I cant think straight and need suggestions i can play at the funeral service. I just don't think I can speak at it. Any suggestions for a Killers song?

There was a time when I was obsessed with "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine." (who's not??! 🤪) I drew the whole story out like a comic book. I recently found a notebook with those drawings. I even redrew something once, but those lined-paper drawings have that raw feel. ;) Here's one of them.
I have always been surprised that Day & Age doesn’t receive the same amount of hype or consensus positive reception as Hot Fuss and Sam’s Town. To me, it succeeds at something that is incredibly difficult to pull off: making an album where many of the tracks are experimental and distinctive while somehow turning all of them into a cohesive listening experience as a whole.
You have Losing Touch as an energetic rock opener, the dancey energy of Human and Spaceman, the emotional powerhouse that is A Dustland Fairytale all in the same album as tracks like I Can’t Stay, which sounds like it could be straight out of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. And it all works so well.
The World We Live In has to be a top 10 of all-time from The Killers for me, and is my favorite track on Day & Age. It is just so dynamic and cinematic.
Goodnight, Travel Well is a perfect closer. You can hear in the percussion a ticking clock counting down the end of the listening experience, and you can almost picture yourself watching the sun rise over the mosaic desert landscape on the album cover (I LOVE the aesthetic of Day & Age)
I have a pretty controversial opinion in that if you put Hot Fuss and Day & Age in front of me, I am picking Day & Age most of the time.
What do you think about this album? It seems to be a bit more divisive than others.

Kind of a bizarre question, but we all have those really good summer vibe albums that you could blast on a road trip vacation, and we have our albums we’d listen to on earbuds while laying in the snow. In your opinion, Which killers albums are summer vibe, and which are other?
My friend enjoys writing music and he sent me this progression. He wanted to know my thoughts before he turned into an actual song. I am getting hints of the song change your mind. But I’m not a music genius so I thought I’d get everyone else’s opinion. Do we think that this sounds too much like change your mind?

A few months back a song was on my discover weekly and I became obsessed (literally never heard of them before). It wasn't until recently when I showed a friend and they went 'Yeah obviously you like that song, it sounds like The Killers'... and now I can completely see it! Thought I'd share incase anyone else enjoys
Alex Cameron just released a new single called Red Hook Rain, and it's got quite a fun Killers/Springsteen vibe especially compared to some of his other recent music.
Just thought I'd share as for those who don't know, Brandon co-wrote and features on two songs on Alex's second album Forced Witness (Runnin' Out of Luck and Politics of Love) and Alex then co-wrote Dying Breed, Caution, and When the Dreams Run Dry on Imploding the Mirage.
