Predictions on book 4 endgame between the trio?
I’ve seen a lot of people debate how things are gonna wrap up romantically between the big trio and Sel has now jumped into demonia and breenick have developed quite a lot in book 3 where does not match with sale. I’ve also seen some people argue book 3 was used as a way to pivot towards the triple game because Deonn saw how popular the ship was.
I started the series back in 2021 and when I read bloodmarked I was damn sure that breesel were gonna be because of multiple things about the author herself as well. Like number one she’s a huge fan the vampire diaries and very specifically the failed ship Damon and Bonnie. She spoken about how sel was inspired by Damon Salvatore and I remember I saw a video where she said the first character that she conceptualised apart from bree was sel.
She just knew exactly how Sel was gonna look like and he was the strongest character in her head basically and I feel like that makes sense when you read the book, especially book one which is why I was always bored by Nick and bree despite understanding they had a cute healthy relationship. Just seemed very under developed boring surface level just a basic cardboard box blonde hair blue eyed dude but i found Sel interesting, complex definitely toxic and aggressive but from an entertainment point of view it was magical to watch him on the page as I was excited about his every single interaction with Bree just even the way that bree describes sel it just felt electrical and the way when it came to nick just absolutely boring.
Nick and bree have had so much more time together and I still feel like that moments together doesn’t hold a candle to the entertainment that BreeSel gave me together. I feel like there was more effort put into sales character basically then there was with Nick because Deonn was living out her Bamon wishes through bree and sel but that all ends in book 3 book 3 wasn’t supposed to happen. Book 3 release starts to push Nick and Bree book 3 ending makes it difficult to see how Sel and bree are gonna end up together. I think it’s clear as day by now that they’re gonna end up as a triple I’m not gonna lie I would love cell and bree to be game but I think with a throuple everyone wins but what are you guys’s opinion based on everything that’s happened in the series so far and anything you might have kept tabs on with Deonn what do you think is gonna be the endgame in book 4?
