I felt bad for Midge with the whole Shy situation till the wedding

Honestly I thought ok maybe she didn't realise what she said and it wasn't directly outing him imo and they should've told her earlier instead of doing it on the tarmac BUT the way she was acting at the wedding was very entitled and obnoxious, and Shy being kind and (maybe fakely but?) still trying to maintain a friendship after her actions got his bestfriend and whole crew fired and probably forced him into a marriage he didn't want and caused queer rumours, and she said we're not friends?? Girl atleast be polite after realising U did something wrong ?? Bro this show PMO sm sometimes

Hear Me Out: Rose and Abe Prequel Series?

Ok I've been brainstorming for this for a while, but I finally landed on one example fancast for Abe and Rose.

Elevator pitch is that the show will be about Abe and Rose's love story, spanning back from when they first met, to when they had their kids and up till the beginning of the show (episode 1). I think it would be really, really cool!

If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know, and add your own actors too!!!

An ammendment to my original idea: New story per season! (and some more fancasts!)

Season 1 is Abe and Rose, season 2 is Moishe and Shirley, season 3 is Jackie, season 4 is Susie, and season 5 is Shy and Reggie!

I put as many fancasts in as I could; it's really hard! I'm missing a Jackie, a Reggie, and a Moishe!

(Oh, by the way, I chose Jordan Fisher for Shy because I KNOW he has those singing chops!)

Thoughts!!!

No big reaction to Maisel opening for Shy??

I'm still early in the show and I am so mad they didn't give us a big reaction from Rose that Maisel is opening FOR HER FAVOURITE SINGER??? Like what??? And then all we get is one scene of her dancing to his music?? Ok? We don't even get to see them meet shy(I'm currently on S3 ep6 btw like a few minutes in)😭😭

This character taught Midge a valuable lesson

I can't think of any other character in the series that made me more frustrated than this dude.

But I'm glad Midge learned that lesson early and fast at the begining of her career. She started to make her own sets with her hilarious pace and honesty that was always her personal brand.

And remember, it is not "doink", it's "doing doing doing 🔨" (just kidding).

I was today years old when I was made aware that Will Brill was Noah

He was in a reading tonight at the Delacorte, and I am always happy when I see him in the cast. I connect him to Stereophonic, maybe because he won the Tony for his performance, but when I mentioned him to a friend after tonight’s reading, her response was, “From Mrs Maisel?”. It was then that it dawned on me that he had been Midge’s brother.

God, we were all so young, once.

I like Midge and dislike Susie.

My opinions on this show seem to be literally the opposite of everyone else's.

I'm not saying Midge is a good person. Neither of them is. Susie isn't, and Midge isn't.

But...

Midge is funny, stylish, passionate, interesting, and sociable. She might be spoiled, but she holds herself to an insanely high standard and somehow manages to live up to it. Her life was perfect. She had everything, she was an amazing wife, and she supported her husband's hobby even though he was terrible at it. Then Joel ruined it all on a whim, yet she still managed to make everything work.

Meanwhile, Susie just gambles, swears, and bothers everyone around her. She's loud, rude, and honestly I'd hate being anywhere near her.

Rose's amazing memory

Rose might not understand how to check if a fridge is still working or not but she can repeat by memory and even improve one of her daughter's acts after only one performance.

This got me wondering if we all have such good memories under hypnosis. I don't know if I would but this is one of my favorite episodes.

Shirley Maisel

Arguably, the most maternal figure on the show. The scene where she is knitting those booties just made me cry.

Rose was glamorous and fabulous in her own way and Midge was a loving mother, but I’m glad those kids had Shirley in their life.

The episode when Moiche and Shirley were going to break Mae out of China was touching. Am

Also her giving Ethan the lunch options out in Queens.

At the beginning of the series, I loved Midge’s family. By the end, I loved Joel’s even more—although they were one big blended family which was so touching and mature.
