I randomly came across this post and thought I’d put it here. Maybe the alignment of celestial bodies is significant?
Just finished now. Idk how to feel about this
I wish I could explain to you all how much The OA has changed me. June is a song by Florence and The Machine that I feel perfectly explains the series and its determination to hold on to the ones we love no matter what.
I have an idea Vout wht we watched the first season we see OA jumping on the bridge (this should be from the 5th dimension to the 2nd dimension) she os wearing a silver dress. Then she wakes up on the 2nd dimension and tell to "the boys" her story about the 1st dimension. During the second season OA jumped to the 3rd dimension in the end yo the 4th when she would forget who she was. On the 5th dimension all OA' friends would be together and win against HAP in the end HAP being smart and evil would jump to the 1st season in which he was very powerful and OA would go to the 2nd dimension to start all over and also bexause there she knew she could find the boys to help her. So we would have a perfect loop but some time in the 5th dimension they could prevent HAP from jumping into the 1st and all of them could be finally happy.
It feels like as time goes on, people are more and more just outright insulting people on this forum over different beliefs in the show. Despite labeling my post as a theory, someone said 'its just a theory though right?' and I explained that aside from the parts that were theory there are other parts I just don't consider theory because they have been legitimately proven in the show already. I asummed this was someone wanting to understand what I understood to have proof versus more debatable, But people turned and said 'you're arrogant', even though I was literally asked to explain my thoughts on whats a theory to me and what is not.
You aren't even allowed to say what you believe is a pattern as opposed to a theory without people calling you arrogant? Worse you give examples of evidence they could look into but they still just say 'probably wrong', as if talking to people that way isn't more arrogant? If you think you have the right to insult someone because they believe a pattern they see, you are probably the problem. And this isn't a one off issue for me or other users. I generally come in being as supportive I can in other threads because others will come in and say the most obviously rude stuff to them if others don't start showing support to scare those losers off.
Someone made a thread about how the show is a hypersigil the other day, and the initial responses were so rude, and most any time someone makes a thread about the deeper aspects of the show inspired by magic and ritual, people act rude to the OP just for thinking about this stuff and noticing the patterns.
And don't gt me started on the poor posters who 'arent all there' in the head but still take the time to post their very beautiful interpretations of the show just for people to make fun of them. If you don't like someone can't you just block them? There are many threads that start off with people just hating OP until someone comes in and corroborates or shows support. It's sad.
At the end of the day its okay to respond to something showing you don't like the ideas, but calling someone 'Elon Musk' because they said part of their theory is theory and the other part is just patterns in the show already proven is childish behavior.
I'm not even a 'lets all love each other type', I have no problem throwing down when someone is clearly being rude to me first, but were at a point where if someone is even just confident in their theories but still labels what part they see as theory and confirms which part they don't when actually asked by someone, people will start harassing them.
Someone posted here the other day about a voicemail from Renata. I had to do a double take on this one I just got 😂
O que a série, os assuntos nela abordados, significam pra você? É apenas ficção?
Ontem ela veio na minha mente, estou pensando em rever. Para mim ela, assim como matrix e outros, são mais do que apenas ficção.
I’m not sure if anyone here is familiar with what hyper sigilism is, but in simple terms it’s a form of magic where works of art or fiction are used as a spell, or basically using in-depth story telling and immersive narratives to reshape reality and manifest life through morphing into the persona you created.
Now of course i have no proof that Britt and Zal intentionally made the OA super meta and self aware as their own hypersigile but it is still a hypersigile even if unintentionally.
This specifically shows through Britt, considering she used herself as reference for the hypersigile ( The OA ) and to this day she’s living the same life path as her character, especially how the show ended with breaking the 4th wall and becoming aware of itself. So could she have accidentally manifested the 7 year hiatus of the show? Would this mean that the show won’t return unless she writes into the story how it ended for years and then was revived… i feel like im rambling about too much but this theory of mine has kept me up at night lmao and i can’t help but wonder if through our collective consciousness and extreme hyperfixation on this Netflix show, we activated a hypersigile unintentionally.
The OA is at #1 in screenrant’s list of shows that change your reality.
We could meet on Treasure Island and do the movements in the back of the museum? Or we could meet at the big green mansion house on Russian Hill? Or the tiled steps? Or on Twin Peaks?
The photos are from a park next to the museum that was a clinic in D2.
Please join us on the Angel Neurosis Discord server today, August 15th, for the first movie in our Source Material: Inspiring the OA series, *The Double Life of Veronique* starring the legendary Irène Jacob.
Double Life follows two identical women named Weronika and Véronique, who do not know each other, live in different countries, yet share a deep, mysterious emotional and spiritual bond.
When asked about their approach to scifi as a genre, Brit said "I think science fiction is cool because it’s about the big ideas. Mike, Zal, and I all met in college, and I think we were all really influenced by the same films; like...The Double Life of Véronique. So the three of us were always interested in the metaphysical and a sense of wonderment that science fiction can have, and the way you can use it to talk about the unseen or the ephemeral."
We will be streaming Double Life in the Crestwood Theatre voice channel under the 🍿EVENTS🍿 category. If you have any questions, please reach out to a moderator or ask folks in the general chat channel.
I’m sure this has been discussed extensively but I’m clearly not searching right. I’m watching for the 87th time. Do we think the first jump at the very beginning was successful (seems likely if the story is circular) and if so where was she coming from?
I watched the show straight through the first time, both Part I and Part II, in 2020. I was also very interested in Tesla, 369, and vortex math, and the Bahai faith at this time.
Kanye West ran for president. I listened to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy cover to cover for the first time. I was struck by how the lyrics spoke to our current situation in 2020 even tho it was released in 2010. I saw in interviews Kanye would claim to be 10 years ahead mentally and I thought yup, we have proof. That makes him like a prophet right, if you can predict the future? If you have prophetic dreams? Kind of like in The OA?
I was raised Mormon and we believe in prophecy and present day revelation. That God chooses one man to speak to for the rest of the whole world. I'm not Mormon anymore because I feel like it's very obviously bullshit, but those concepts are not my own invention. I was raised with them. Anyway, it felt like if there was an actual prophet it was Kanye (not whatever old man was currently running the church).
Kanye did say in another interview that he eventually just wanted to design for the church. I fantasized how the LDS church could be the most innovative and effective church ever with a leader like Kanye West. With the $250B the church has and Ye's artistic vision we could build the kingdom of Heaven on Earth, like for real.
I heard about the fan theory that David Bowie prophesied the birth of K.WEST 5 years from the month he dropped his Ziggy Stardust album. I remembered how there was a 5 year birth prophecy given for Christ by the only dark skinned prophet in the Book of Mormon.
The repeat of 5 years in both records made me think of the 5 movements and 5 dimensions. I know just both using the number 5 isn't super rare, although all single digits being equal the chance that the number is 5 is 11.111111infinity%. That's the angelist of all angel numbers, amiright?
Joseph Smith, the author of The Book of Mormon, also ran for President right before he was assassinated in 1844. He ran on a platform of radical forgiveness for prisoners and debtors. Before he died, he built a temple in Kirtland OH that has a double sided curved staircase and a unique, round window at the top. This one is not a rose stained glass, but a wagon wheel design with 18 spokes. And I'm sure there are people buried in coffins in the yard.
The actual big green mansion house in San Francisco in this dimension does not have a rose stained glass window. That was made up. But looking out where it would be, across the street there is a park dedicated to Ina Donna Coolbrith....
Who is Joseph Smith's niece and step daughter. Her mother had to marry Joseph Smith as a plural wife when her husband, his brother, died. When he was killed they came West. The plaque claims she was "the first white child to enter California by covered wagon through Beckworth Pass," which was discovered and improved by James Beckworth, a famous African American frontiersman.
For me it was strange to have The OA, Black History, and Joseph Smith lineage all intersect. It was a fun surprise to me to find the plaque on my OA site seeing trip. It makes me wonder if Brit sees these line ups too?
Why did she make SYZYGY a men's clothing fabricator if she wasn't pointing at YZY? SYZYGY is the entrance to the game in season 2, maybe YZY is the entrance to the game in this dimension? Kanye previewed a game in 2016 whose objective was to get his mom, who had passed 9 years prior, through the gates of heaven. Mormons baptize souls posthumously so they can get out of spirit prison and into heaven. To give them a way out.
Anyone else ever come across synchronicities like this with the show?
Just came across this trailer on Will Brill’s Instagram. It looks good!
I just emailed someone with a totally different name yesterday about participating in a new VA study on psilocybin for treatment-resistant depression. Guess who called me today and left a voicemail? I have never met anyone with this name in my life. I’m hoping it’s a good sign. I will do the pre-screening in a few weeks. Wish me luck. :)

I am also not much of a dreamer in general but this was so weird!
I remember freaking out in my dream and putting on the episode with the same shock we’d actually have if it came back.
Dreamt of a little blonde boy with piercing blue eyes in the episode.
I dont even know, this means nothing. But damn did that dream feel good! Hopefully this year it’ll be reality.
keeping my door open 🫶🏼
The way my body reacted at the cafeteria scene was something I've rarely felt before. I read some posts in this subreddit and I found out I'm not the only one that felt this way, I'm so glad.
So what other scenes did you really enjoy?
I am seriously still chasing the high of what the OA gave me, as do all other fans too. From the first time i watched it back in 2017, to rewatching the first deason then binging the second season when it released in 2019. And the many countless rewatches I have done (maybe netflix will realize how much we just want this show to just continue but whatever).
Does anyone have any book recommendations that give that sense of just what the OA gave? I don't have anything specific that comes to mind of what I'm trying to find, and ofcourse the OA will always be it's own thing, but I'm just here asking if you guys have any recommendations to quench that thirst I have!
