[US] Best of movies like The Last House? (2026)

I didn't enjoy the movie that much but it was the first new horrory lockdown movie I've seen in a while.

better than await further instructions, worse than vivarium and the pink cloud.

are there more in this genre? I just love anything where people are trapped and isolated and its dark but cozy even if its not that well written.

The craziest twist wasn't in the show, it was that it was really just one actress

When this show first came out I Was extremely impressed. I was convinced that this was two girls at the very least playing multiple roles, it had to be twins.

I had seen Ringer and the Lying Game on CW and ABC Family respectively, and both had twins for main characters played be one actress, and whiel the personalities could feel different the camera work was a huge issue. It's very easy to crop a shot right down the middle so the actor can be on both sides by filming both roles, but the lengths the production went to in order to have moving camera shots with multiple clones all interacting was insane.

The clone dance party wasn't even really their best work, they just wanted to make it more obvious how much work does go into mixing them together in a less subtle way.

Can we not attack each other for what we believe about the show?

It feels like as time goes on, people are more and more just outright insulting people on this forum over different beliefs in the show. Despite labeling my post as a theory, someone said 'its just a theory though right?' and I explained that aside from the parts that were theory there are other parts I just don't consider theory because they have been legitimately proven in the show already. I asummed this was someone wanting to understand what I understood to have proof versus more debatable, But people turned and said 'you're arrogant', even though I was literally asked to explain my thoughts on whats a theory to me and what is not.

You aren't even allowed to say what you believe is a pattern as opposed to a theory without people calling you arrogant? Worse you give examples of evidence they could look into but they still just say 'probably wrong', as if talking to people that way isn't more arrogant? If you think you have the right to insult someone because they believe a pattern they see, you are probably the problem. And this isn't a one off issue for me or other users. I generally come in being as supportive I can in other threads because others will come in and say the most obviously rude stuff to them if others don't start showing support to scare those losers off.

Someone made a thread about how the show is a hypersigil the other day, and the initial responses were so rude, and most any time someone makes a thread about the deeper aspects of the show inspired by magic and ritual, people act rude to the OP just for thinking about this stuff and noticing the patterns.

And don't gt me started on the poor posters who 'arent all there' in the head but still take the time to post their very beautiful interpretations of the show just for people to make fun of them. If you don't like someone can't you just block them? There are many threads that start off with people just hating OP until someone comes in and corroborates or shows support. It's sad.

At the end of the day its okay to respond to something showing you don't like the ideas, but calling someone 'Elon Musk' because they said part of their theory is theory and the other part is just patterns in the show already proven is childish behavior.

I'm not even a 'lets all love each other type', I have no problem throwing down when someone is clearly being rude to me first, but were at a point where if someone is even just confident in their theories but still labels what part they see as theory and confirms which part they don't when actually asked by someone, people will start harassing them.

How to recover account or just reset phone without it?

I have two iphones, I switched emails halfway through using my new phone, its broken, so I want to go back to my old phone. It's been years so I Don't have the phone number associated with it or even know it so I keep getting stuck when it asks for my phone number. that was like 3 phone numbers ago and mint mobile won't tell it to me unless I tell it to them first which defeats the purpose.

I have access to my email still but they expect your email to be not safe for some reason but believe phone numbers never transfer? I just don't want to waste money on a new phone when this one just has a cracked screen in the corner.

Is it time for us to do the Movements in public again?

Los Angeles angel here.

Is it time for us to start organizing flash mobs / groups doing the movements around the world again? Post it on social media and here, make it go viral?

even if the show isn't renewed, its time to use the hype. Brit and Zal are up to something but if its not the oa renewed, we can ride that hype with a renew the oa campaign to make it more likely.

And even if its just the show already returning who knows how this kind of support will be featured in the show.

I can Organize one for hollywood / Los Angeles. We could do the movements in front of the Netflix building. I live right in the neighborhood.

I would much rather be the camera man but if we can get a decent enough group to do this that would be pretty cool regardless.

Other people who want to do this should probably Name their city at the top of a reply in this thread if they want to gather people around easily instead of it being buriedi n the middle.

We could make clips go viral with us sharing them on twitter or wherever can gain traction.
