"I'm a Learnosaurus, Kit"

"That's what I do - I learn.
From the world around me. From Flappers. And from you."

Gobbles and this specific scene get made fun of a lot, but tbh this line was my favorite moment in the entire pilot; so, I thought it would be neat to do a redraw.

I'm so tired boss

I'm genuinely so fucking tired of indie pilots, like it's not even funny. My first disappointment was Loki IRL, then TADC pissed me off with the rushed feeling of ep 8, which made me rewatch the show and realized I was so caught up int the hype that I didn't even see the warning signs, Then gameoverse. I thought it was rushed shit that was made to make merch. I stopped caring about glitch altogether because of their new pilots just not gripping me. I can't bring it in my heart to care because it feels if I do I keep getting disappointed. And if I dare to post my said disappointment on twitter, I'll be lynched before I get a word in. Maybe I'm preaching to the choir. (especially since this I filled with indie supporters) But maybe someone feels the same way.

I don't know

Anyone need a storyboarder/animator?

Hey! I'm an intermediate animator/storyboard artist and I want to practice so I can improve, however right now I'm not motivated enough to write a script, so would anyone be willing of lending me their scripts so I can animate them?

I must say that I struggle a bit with compromise, so we will have to go step by step.

I get practice and you get free animations, I think it's fair.

Please leave a comment or DM me if you can lend me your script, I will probably just select one person since I want to focus on just one thing so I get better results.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day!

Note: Must have discord since that's what I use to communicate.

I really don't know how to feel right now

It seems like Glitch is finally crumbling under its own weight, scandal after scandal is making me less confident in this company in the future. Well the elephant in the room right now is the leaks of TADC episode 9. It has been four whole days since it occurred and not a single word has been said by Glitch regarding the situation. This isn't a small situation which can simply be brushed under the rug and forgotten about. TADC has been Glitch's poster child show for the past few years, and this finale has been hyped up to the point it is now in theaters around the world. And when it got leaked, Glitch decided to stay completely silent. The only person who has spoken about this so far has been Gooseworx, and the response definitely wasn't the best. She just didn't care at all about the leaks. Her tone made it all seem meaningless and she explained how she can't keep her heart into the project any longer. It is extremely sad to see her loss of passion on such a successful and impactful show like TADC, but it seems like she forgot about the millions of people who fell in love with the show. Not caring has been a consistent theme with Glitch and it's shows for quite some time now. Just to name a few: not addressing the leaks, letting Gooseworx tweet so many depraved and degenerate things on Twitter, not firing numerous racist voice actors, not even having a head of HR at their company, the cash grab low quality Murder Drones comic, creating too many new (in my opinion mid) shows rather than focusing on a few quality ones. I can go on and on about all the problems that exist because of their new mentality. Being a diehard Glitch fan since 2021 and a SMG4 fan far before, it breaks my heart to see the way things currently look for Glitch. From the ways things look, Glitch will either become a money hungry indie version of Disney, or Glitch becomes defunct within the next 5 years and shuts down. I do not like where things are going one bitand this has been bugging me for the last few days.

(Im sorry for the grammar and rambling, this has just really been on my mind recently and I wanted to share my thoughts with others.)

I know its just a TADC thing at the moment but the more indie shows get put into theaters, the more this will happen.

What are your thoughts on a case like this?

What are your thoughts on a case like this?

Do you think that using Artificial inteligence for generating concept art is wrong?

More context on my question.

Let's say i'm a writter that doesn't have the resources to pay for an artist but I have knowlegde of composition and im terrible at drawing, not and I want to make a painted art since I want to create a very simple visual package for my project (2-3 images in color), so I do some tracing and sketching and then I use artificial inteligence to enhace the drawing, add color, textures and all that. The end result looks generated but with a human touch, would you be against it? And what options would You give considering that the person is not in condition to pay for monetary personal problems?

Did everyone just forget Happy Tree Friends exists?

This is like the most forgotten popular indie series only behind object shows.

I think it may have something to do with GLITCH (and others) shows being exponentially more popular

Also, did you know mondo is still making episodes? Yea, they have, it’s just that most of you never heard of it! Oh, and mondo has started paywalling them because of a lack of funds.

Any tonally serious indie shows? Also small rant

For context, I'm not a hater of the current popular ones like tadc, Lackadaisy, planetronika, Murder Drones, etc; but I feel like they tend to share a much more goofy/fun tone, even though some of the plotlines can best serious. I guess the best way to describe it would be by saying these are Shounen, while I'm looking for seinen (not a perfect analogy, but I feel it gets the point across). The one that I ended up quite liking was "Knights of Guinevere" as I felt like there were more quiet moments that allowed the impactful scenes to hit harder. I also thought I'd like Murder Drones a lot more since I was already a Liam Vickers fan, but the show felt sorta insincere with it's overuse of bathos. Even though it's supposed to be a love letter to 2000s edginess and music, it never takes itself seriously, even in scenes that are meant to be impactful; it ends up feeling like it's afraid of coming of as cringe, so it makes a joke about itself, before others will, which in turn ruins the mood of a lot of scenes.

I know I sound pretentious but I promise i'm not. I just feel like I'm not the target audience for the ones that have gained popularity, yet I still want to find and support indie projects.

Basically I'd like to find something that's less overtly self aware and takes a more serious look to its own world. A good example would be the short Minecraft mini animations that "Marcus Yu" makes. Also doesn't have to be horror (Knights of Guinevere for example isn't horror), just you know a different vibe than the usual stuff.

Edit: I decided to actually finish tadc and it actually surprised me! I didn't think it was bad beforehand, and I already knew it got a bit more serious as it went along, but the aesthetic and first episode weren't really my thing when I first checked it out. However as the show went along the character writing was enough to keep me hooked until the more Sci-fi elements (my fav genre) started to become more prevalent. The humor was also surprisingly good; some of it was just the meta/self referential humor I'm not a very big fan of, but the rest of it was usually pretty endearing. While I'm not really looking for another show with a similar art style, nor humor I am super glad I gave this one a chance.

Sunlit Moon pilot poster!

Took roughly 6 hours. I don’t have much time to work on full illustrations like this much nowadays since I’m very busy with production stuff but it was nice to spend a couple days just quietly working on one larger drawing! I haven’t done something like this in a while but despite that I think it turned out okay! :0) The full ~5 minute pilot will be on YouTube in late autumn ✨

Characters pictured:
