This album is okay at best. We were so relieved to get a actual record without experimental crap that we piled on the praise for Supercharged, but most tracks are mid, sort of in the lower half of the discography for me.

The mix is one of the worst parts. As technology improves, Offspring mixes somehow get worse. In terms of mixes, they peaked with americana (though CO1 and Splinter still sound great). Every mix since has felt incrementally less authentic.

Track-by-Track Breakdown

• Looking Out for No. 1: A mediocre rewrite of "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid." 4.5/10
• Light It Up: Takes the Track One chorus and speeds it up. It feels plasticky, despite the heavier vibe which results in some decent solos and a solid instrumental 5.5/10
• The Fall Guy: A banger. It is a better, catchier version of "Army of One" (which alongside "Breaking These bones ," is their most forgettable song ever). 7.5/10
• make It All Right: The first true highlight. I hated it at first, but it is incredibly fun and catchy. 8/10
• but This Is the Last Time: Plodding, generic pop punk that quickly gets annoying. 4.5/10
• Truth in Fiction: A solid, decent punk track. Not the most creative, but it works. 6.5/10
• Get Some: Average. The cheesy riff-rock doesn't do it for me 5/10
• Come to Brazil: pure cringe. The instrumentals are good, but Dexter’s vocals are really bad. 5/10
• Hanging by a thread: Phenomenal, heavy, and emotional. For contrast, the production here is actually great. 9/10
• You Can't Get There from Here: A really strong closer with a slow, epic, anthemic vibe. 8/10

Probably sits somewhere around a 5-6/10. For context the average album by any artist is for me a 5/10 and The Offsprings trinity of best albums (Smash, Ixnay, Americana) are all 9.5-10/10s, so 5-6 seems completely fair

It's a classic melody set to punk rock and I always thought it was well done and catchy. It's kind of a novelty song, but it rips and has a crazy good guitar solo. I remember even on the Offspring BBS days people hated on it. So bizarre to me.

I know 41 songs. I am still trying to learn new ones, so please be as kind as possible

1: Americana. What else can I say, that is the best album in existence. 10/10

2: Conspiracy of One: Has a lot of bangers, Want you Bad and Come Out swinging is awesome 10/10

3: Smash. What Happened to you is very underrated. I love Gotta get away and Bad Habit. 9/10

4: Ixnay on the Hombre: The Meaning of Life is my number 4 best from them. 9/10

5: Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace: Hammerhead is my #1, and Takes me Nowhere is so underrated. 8/10

6: Splinter. Hit That is my #3 and underrated. 8/10

7: Greatest Hits. Technically not an album, but Can't Repeat and Defy You are so good. 8/10

8: Ignition: Not a bad album, my dad says that is the best album ever. I need more research, but session is top 15 for me. 7/10

9: Self Titled: Beheaded is such a good song, and I need more research 7/10

10: Days Go By. Slim Pickens and Dividing by Zero is so good 7/10

11: Supercharged: Not bad, Make It All Right is a good song 6/10

12: Let The Bad Times Roll. Not a Bad album, still need research. 6/10
