Why do people want the game to drop all at once?

I personally don't get it. The weekly episode drops and the community discussion and theorizing in between is like 50% of the experience for me. Back when Dispatch aired I met up with my brother weekly just to discuss Dispatch and how the next episodes could play out.

I feel like we would be missing out on a major feature such a narrative driven game brings with it when the whole 8-12 hours of gameplay drop all at once. AdHoc showed everyone with Dispatch that the concept works, yes, even in the big 2026.

The community activity and amount of discussion we had in late 2025 was absolutely insane, and I'd like to see the same for Wolf 2. That only works though if there is a buildup towards the final episode, with tension building and theories clashing.

Give the community a chance to really enjoy Wolf 2 to its fullest, without having to stay away from social media and the community for weeks just so you don't get spoiled of the finale just 12 hours after the bloody game released.

Just a little emotional rant from my side here and I know there are many who might agree and many who might disagree with my take. This is not meant to be a confrontational post or right and wrong debate, it's just something I am very passionate about and hope to see continued, especially from Telltale who kind were known for their episodic releases.

Also when I say "episodic", I really mean weekly releases. I am not talking about one episode every three months like we had with the old Telltale titles back then. That concept is just outdated and even killed the hype around those games.

Def an unpopular opinion but

It would be cool to see if the Tweedles make a comeback in the sequel and how they're gonna look in the remaster.. 🤔 if they do end up in the sequel it would be kinda funny if they were just in jail or on the run or something

I have a feeling that Snow will have a much much smaller role in the new game and I'm honestly sad

So this isn't a hate post AT ALL. I'm excited as fuck for the new game and honestly can't wait to play as Bigby again. So, again, it's not a hate post.

Based on the trailer and overall the vibes I think we'll spend much less time with Snow than the first game. Honestly I adore Snow as a character. She can be harsh and make bad decisions but it's a character flaw and I enjoyed her writing a lot. Not to mention I really love her and Bigby together. So I was really hoping to see their relationship progress more, but if the "vibes" I'm getting is true then I don't think there's much room for them. Since the author said that the games are not canon to his comics anymore, I don't think writers of the game would strictly stick to the "TWAU is a prequel to the fable comics" agenda and might decide to discard the Snow and Bigby's romance route. I'm not necessarily against it as long as they let Snow to develop more as a character 😭 I just want her to be important that's all 😭

Thank you for reading my post. I just want to emphasize again that this isn't a hate post. Im probably just over analyzing things lol.

Choices from game 1 to game 2?

I know the game hasn’t released yet but does anyone maybe know if the choices from game 1 will matter for game 2? I would personally love for my actions to carry over

Beauty’s character in the games vs comics

I’m interested to see what everyone thinks about Beauty in the game. To me she’s an extreme downgrade to her comic counterpart. I honestly feel telltale did her dirty in the design and voice acting department. Hopefully in Wolf 2 they’ll update her model and character to be more like the comics.

I hope developers will keep the scene from the first trailer

Many people say that this game got completely reworked after Adhoc left the project in 2023, but i still hope that they will keep this beautifully made scene from 2022 trailer

I even compared two scenes from both the new and the old trailer, they have similar moments where Bigby and Tin Man fight, it has the same location. (Its the same room, it has the same carpet and beaded curtains and etc)

Wolf 2 Story Changes/Rewrites

They said in an interview that when they restarted development, they kept pieces of Adhoc’s vision. I wonder how much was changed/altered from their original script of the game. I hope it was largely faithful, because after playing dispatch, it’s clear to me that team Adhoc is capable of some of the best writing I’ve ever seen. There’s no one else I would’ve trusted to do the wolf 2 script. I really hope they didn’t water it down.

I’m mostly concerned because I don’t really trust telltale to have good writing anymore. The last legitimate telltale game that was released was TWD final season, and I really did not like it at all. Bringing Lily back was a cheap plot convenience, and the chances of crossing paths with her again in a completely different state nearly a decade later is almost statistically impossible. They already used that technique and made me suspend my disbelief when she reunited with Kenny. But I’m willing to excuse that because Kenny was actually worth the coincidence.

None of the new characters were interesting or compelling in the slightest (Tenn, Violet, Marlon, Louis, even AJ) were all extremely dull and forgettable. The dialogue was bland and contrived. And before that, a new frontier was a HUGE step down from season 2. Javi was a boring protagonist, David and Joan were boring villains, Gabe and Kate lacked individuality and were poorly written, the critiques go on and on. Every character they’ve introduced in any game post TWD season 2 has the personality of a cardboard box. (Except Tripp. Tripp is cool.)

Even the Batman games were pretty mid..and their failure was one of the main reasons telltale went bankrupt.

I haven’t finished playing the expanse, but that’s deck nine, and I have extremely low standards for deck nine because they’ve never been good at writing. Life is strange 1 was pretty solid, but it’s been all downhill from there.

I’m praying Wolf 2 lives up to my expectations. Wolf 1 is not even just my favorite telltale game, it’s one of my favorite games of all time period. I’ve been waiting for a sequel since the very first time I rolled credits in 2013. I’ve been here for every announcement, every cancellation, every renouncement. Every rumor. Every interview. Please for the love of god, do right by wolf 2 🙏
