Hello , booked tickets for Brand new day at Jagadamba , BMS shows box office pickup and some extra charges to be paid for a 3D movie what is it exactly??

I planned to watch the movie this weekend but I'm unable to find the it at Melody theatre on Bookmyshow. I saw the telugu dubbing still being there for booking, but found no signs of the English version. I hope they didn't completely removed it just to accomodate Jana Nayagan and Chennai love story.

Well, Spiderman Brand New Day is going to be released soon and a couple of theatres have already opened bookings, what about Melody, can we expect HDR DCP for the film, like we got for The Odyssey ? Is it going to be FLAT ?

Another useless update from AAA cinemas twitter handle and Narang twitter about coming soon. no details or info so far.

let’s discuss the last credible rumours here before they announce the details.

I went to watch the odyssey again in Melody on 19-07-2026, it was a sunday evening, and in melody, I was seated in the P row, almost at the centre of the auditorium. Knowing Vizag audience, and especially single screen audience, my thought walking into the theatre was "I made a huge mistake, going to a packed single screen on a sunday evening will ruin my experience". Because I watched the movie on the first day, and I did hear a lot of cross talking through out the movie, in melody.

As soon as I entered the theatre, the trailer of brand new day was being played, and the guy to my left was watching something on the phone, and the people to my right, a girl was explaining the prologue of the odyssey to her family. I thought I was in for a ride. But as soon as the Universal title was on screen, it was pin drop silence. Stayed like that until the interval, same with the second half of the film. No talking, no randomly opening the phone and watching nonsense ( people can watch, but not disturbing the person next to them, but this audience didn't ), no random seat kicking. Perfect theatre etiquette. Thouroughly enjoyed the viewing experience. Not a single whisper. I dream for days like these.

A big shout out to the entire audience. Had a memorable experience, better than the day 1. Credit where it is due.

Well, writing an movie experience post after months...

So I've watched The Odyssey today morning in both Jagadamba (7:45 AM show) and Melody (11:00 AM show). Both were screened in English language with subtitles.

First, let's start with Jagadamba. Actually, I hesitated while booking tickets. Anyways, I proceeded and bought the tickets. I hesitated because barely any tickets got booked. With that low occupancy, we know the management wouldn't put much sound if there is no occupancy.

Anyways, I've booked the tickets. I sat at seat number R13.

So, coming to the video experience - the picture is not that bright and not that dim either. It's just okay brightness, just enough to watch in peace. The picture looked soft. It's not that sharp, and there's nothing more to tell about it. It's just an above-average experience.

It is presented in the scope aspect ratio, leaving a chunk of black bars on the top and bottom.

Sound department - Oh my God, here's where Jagadamba always shines, but this time it's on the next level. The best I've ever experienced in this theatre. This experience tops everything out.

Despite very low occupancy, I went with very low expectations on audio, but the management decided to maintain a good sound level.

The bass rumbles, stays tight, and doesn't keep vibrating.

After seeing those comments on the sound in Melody, I too thought it was a problem with the movie's sound mix, but I was totally wrong about it.

The surrounds are very active and very loud, with crystal Clear sound separation. This was super immersive for me. The front speakers went too loud at some point, and I literally thought the speakers would give out.

I can't even describe it in words . That's how good it sounded in Jagadamba.🔥

And make sure you don't sit in row R or below. The rows R, S, and T are plain and are not steep. This makes the heads of the people ahead of you obstruct the view. It was hard to get the perfect FOV for me. I kept moving my head throughout the film.

Until row Q, it's good, so I suggest booking tickets in row Q for a better experience, and try to prefer the right side of the auditorium.

Now coming to Melody - the video looks super sharp, bright, with not much grain, and rich in colours. There is no problem in the video department.

Coming to the audio department - it's not that bad or good either. The bass was too powerful, didn't feel that punch, and it felt noisy at some times. A mid-level experience for me.

And I've got to know a really bad update about a screen in the upcoming AAA Cinemas. Hope it turns out to be false.

And I don't gaurentee this same level of sound experience in jagadamba for the shows for tomorrow and day after tomorrow.

What's the situation on HDR and subtitles ?

While the picture quality is top-notch, the sound is honestly pretty disappointing, imo. The bass is way too overpowering, and I could barely hear the background score in some scenes. Did anyone else feel the same?
Even in Telugu films, at Melody theatre.. the BGM sounds unclear and noisy at some scenes. At first, I thought it was just poor audio mixing of those movies, but I felt the same while watching The Odyssey. Is anyone else experienced this..

What an experience. I live outside of Vizag for clg and I am feeling so lucky that I got home just when the Odessey is releasing.

Varun Inox’s screen 2 is shit for the screen and auditorium size , wanted screen 1/4 but it isnt the case , will they give screen 1/4 for more shows ??

Due to Melody playing Odyssey in English, there’s some excitement in the sub. we still didn’t get any official confirmation on whether they’re going to play hdr dcp from show 1 or not. So if anyone has that clarification, please post.

Also, with Spiderman coming in 2 weeks, will Melody be showing that as well?

Still no updates on AAA cinemas, so that hope for spiderman is gone. So Melody is our last resort for that movie as well.
