Current economic circumstances and work obligations prevent my wife and I from going to Chicago to see OSEES at Thalia. It’ll be the first year in ten years I haven’t made it to at least one show. Well, enough of the crying. If you want to snag these and resell them, piss off. DM me with your story and I’ll decide who to send ‘em to. I contacted the venue and they told me I could send the digital tickets to whomever and it would work out. I’ll do my best to figure out that piece once these are claimed. Free, no strings attached attached, just want them to go to some true fans or first timers who have yet to experience the magic of OSEES firsthand. Cheers!

We’ve been told we sound close to the Osees in the past so some of you might enjoy this! Thank you!

I've been passively looking to answer this question for a while now, but I'd be curious what you've found? There's been countless bands influenced by all the forms of Thee Oh Sees, but it's hard to find stuff with similar vibes before Thee Oh Sees. It's obvious that John Dwyer is a pioneer, but what are his influences? What bands and artists captured the same vibe in the before time?

My favorites that I've found and love are Can, Swans, and NEU!

Also just found this post from 2 years ago asking the same question: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheeOhSees/comments/1c5vyy0/what_are_their_influences_can_anyone_give_me_a/

so much good fucking music out there

I really hope that last night was the last time we're getting that setlist. There was mention in the liner notes for Live In Los Angeles that some changes were afoot, but I have yet to see evidence of it. Ignoring the new Off Course album on this upcoming tour would be a crime.

I know bands like Crass and Rudimentary Peni had a big influence on the sound of the album. Does anyone have any other bands that have a similar vibe to the album?

Great show, it messed my hearing for about 2 hours after, would go again.

12th time seeing Osees! My live journey with them started at the same venue in 2024. Absolutely surreal!

Forgot I had 2 until I went to get in. Anyone need one. On me.
