I got banned for the 7th time since last year...

Ever since I got to Threads, I've been noticing that rage-bait engagement fuels the whole app. And then I watched a video by Hank Green where he realised that leaving snarky posts got him attention.

Which makes me think: maybe Threads wants us to fight each over there????? 😂 Maybe that's the answer to us not getting banned? /s

Seriously, it's tiring. I honestly enjoyed my time on the App, especially within the Philippines part of Threads. But Meta telling me that I am not a real person when there are shitload of bots around is ridiculous. Why would put my face on my profile when the AI moderation itself is faceless?!

If Threads demands authenticity and identity verification from us users, I think they should also provide more transparent, accountable, and human moderation processes.

So, what’s with all the Russians on threads?

It seems there is a huge thing where threads has a bunch of fake women, OF girls, or even a bunch of non-english speaking woman(I particularly see only Russian women) what’s the deal here? I don’t have any issues with Russian women, I just don’t get why they seem to be 65% of the user base.

Account Suspension & Backup save password issues

I have my acount suspended wrongfully for violation of community standards, so I submitted a appeal report, and it didn't help. Now, I am told that I would not be able to submit another report by any means.

I tried the contacting page, and it is also not letting me report anything.

Now I just hope to at least get a backup save to my email. However, nomatter how many times I try I am unable to get the password right. I went to the connected instagram account and used a forget my password process, so I am 100% sure the password I put in is right.

I am desperate for any type of support i can get to get my account back, and if i don't at least a backup of my files. Does anyone know what to do?

Should I spend time analysing the well performed posts or is it just the algorithm?

I have recently started to be more active in Threads. One of the posts last week suddenly got 90k reach and another one 10k, and before and after it’s like nothing.

Should I even try to analyse why, or is this just the tricks from the algorithm?

Threads permanently banned my account before I even got to use it and support was completely useless

I recently deleted my old Instagram, Threads, and Facebook accounts for personal reasons and made new ones.

When I created my new Instagram account, I also logged into Threads with it. At first everything seemed completely normal. My partner followed me there and that was basically it, because I honestly hadn’t even started using the app yet.

The next day I decided to actually start setting up the account and following people, but I suddenly couldn’t log in anymore. I kept getting random errors and after trying a few times it asked me for a verification code.

So I enter the code thinking it’ll finally let me into my account… and instead I suddenly get a message saying I submitted an appeal for a banned account.

Except I never appealed anything because I didn’t even know I was banned in the first place. I was literally just trying to log in.

Then a few moments later I get another message saying the ban is permanent and the decision cannot be appealed.

So apparently my account got permanently banned before I even got to properly use it.

At that point I was mostly annoyed and confused, but what’s making me lose my mind is that Instagram still keeps showing me Threads notifications. I still have the stupid “9+” badge on the Threads icon on my Instagram profile even though Threads itself says my account is gone. I also keep getting prompts trying to push me back into Threads through Facebook.

So naturally I tried using the support chatbot and it was honestly one of the most useless experiences possible. It basically just kept repeating that the notifications are probably related to the account deletion grace period and that eventually they should disappear.

But how does that make sense if they already told me that my account is permanently banned and the decision cannot be appealed

Like… what exactly is the point of having a grace period if there’s literally nothing I’m allowed to do with the account anymore? Why am I still getting notifications and prompts for an account that supposedly no longer exists?

Having issues logging into Threads

Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone here has figured out a fix for this because I am completely locked out of Threads and losing my mind.

Earlier today, I decided to disconnect my Instagram and Facebook accounts through the Meta Accounts Center because I wanted them separated. Ever since I unlinked them, Threads completely stopped working, and I am trapped in a brutal login loop.

Here is exactly what is happening:

- When I try to log into the Threads mobile app with my Instagram details, it successfully logs me in for exactly 1 second, displays my feed, and then instantly kicks me out with an error saying "You've been logged out, please log back in." It just repeats this infinitely.

- If I try to log in via Safari or a mobile web browser, it tells me I have an "Incorrect Password," even though I am 10000% sure the password is correct.

Please read

On May 13, my Instagram account randomly got suspended and so I immediately appealed on the same day. I also noticed my Facebook was also suspended because I linked them together.
On May 15, still no change in my the instagram account, it just says I submitted an appeal on May 13. So I checked my email and I realized I have a forgotten account that was linked to my instagram account. In that 2nd account, it asked me for an ID photo from the email so I appealed from there. A few minutes later, Instagram emailed me and it said “Your photo ID submission could not be accepted”, so I sent another one and my 2nd account gets permanently suspended.

May 17, today. I woke up today and I noticed a Threads notification and it was like a recommendation or a video but I clicked on it thinking maybe my instagram is restored.
No, the first thing that popped up on my screen was saying my instagram was suspended and I needed to appeal.
I got to a form where I have to fill up my full name, email, and explained myself why I shouldn’t be suspended.
When I tried to click submit, it showed an error maybe, just look at the picture I put.
I have already sent an appeal from the instagram app. What is happening???
And I closed Threads and reopened and that popup showed saying they saw unusual activity.

Just to clarify things. No I did not violate anything.
On my Instagram account, I only post myself.
I do not even use Threads at all I only check once in a while to see what’s up.
On facebook, I don’t even post just scroll and use Messenger to connect with all important people I know like people from school, family, friends, etc.

Should I get a lawyer???

Account Seems to Be Permanently Disabled

My account was disabled a couple months ago with no specific reason given. I appealed very reluctantly because they required a selfie which is super sketch and nothing happened. More sketch however is their community guidelines are incredibly long and complicated, seems like it's almost next to impossible not to break some rule. I just don't understand why they won't tell me what I did wrong to break the rules. I see this is common for this app, yet does anyone know why this is a new normal at Meta? Are they just happy nowadays to have a supermax prison platform completely moderated by an inaccurate AI?

Why does the AI suck so bad??

Bit of a pain in the ass tbh. When you are appealing a falsely flagged suspension (CSE), the AI will not help you in any way. I am trying to download my data, but anytime I try to submit, it tells me my password is incorrect. Mind you, it's the same password I use to log in... so that is the right password. I'm in a loop. The AI will not escalate this issue either. Even after doing what it said to do to verify my identity to change my password, that didn't work either way. I did eventually get the QR code to work after the initial code sent to me but even then as you see in the conversation, it would escalate the issue buuuuut it is having technical issues. What a bunch of bs.

ME: Help with my account

AI slop: I understand you're having trouble accessing your account. To help you regain access, we first need to confirm your identity. This is a necessary security step.

To confirm you are the owner of the account, you will now need to complete a video selfie using a mobile device. You'll need to have the Instagram app installed to complete this step.

I'll send you instructions to help you get started.

You will need the Instagram app on your phone to record the selfie.

It looks like the selfie video wasn't submitted. The link I sent you has expired, but I can send you a new one. Would you like to try again?

ME: yes

AI slop: Scan the QR code below with your phone's camera to open the video selfie instructions.
Let me know once you have completed this step.

ME: there is no qr code shown

AI slop: I see. It's possible that the QR code is not being displayed correctly on your device. Let's try generating a new one.

I've sent a new QR code. Please check if you can see it now. If you're still having trouble, you may need to check your browser settings to ensure that images are not being blocked.

Let me know if you can see the QR code and have completed the video selfie.

ME: you didn't send the code

AI slop: I understand this is frustrating. It seems there's an issue with displaying the QR code on your end, and I'm unable to resolve it from my side. I'll look for an alternative solution to help you.

It seems we're facing a technical issue that is preventing me from generating the QR code for you. I can't proceed with the video selfie at this moment.

Let's try a different method. We can also try to confirm your identity using an email address or phone number associated with your account. Would you like to proceed with that option?

ME: phone number

AI slop: I can help with that. Here are the eligible contact points associated with your account. Please select one to receive a verification code.

I've sent a verification code to

You should receive an 8-digit code. Please enter that code here.

Thank you. I'm about to send you a message containing an action to change your password. Once that's done, you should be able to access your account. Let me know if you run into any issues.

Please press the button below to set a new password:

ME: page gave an error message

AI slop: I see. Could you please tell me what the error message says? That will help me understand what's going on.

ME: Something went wrong
There's an issue and the page could not be loaded.

AI slop: I understand. It seems there was a temporary issue. Let's try that again. I'll generate a new link for you.

I've sent a new password reset link. Please try this one.Please press the button below to set a new password:

<hts-linkbutton label="Reset password" url="

Please press the button below to set a new password:

Something went wrong. Please try again.

ME: escalate issue

AI slop: I understand you'd like to escalate this issue. I'm currently unable to connect you to a different team, but I'll do my best to help you here.

Let's try to resolve the password reset issue. Could you please tell me more about the error message you received when you clicked the link? For example, does it ask for a code?

ME: same issue as before Something went wrong
There's an issue and the page could not be loaded.

AI slop: I understand this is a frustrating experience, and I appreciate your patience. It seems there is a persistent issue with the password reset link.

Since the link is not working, let's try a different approach. I can try to generate a new password for you directly. This will be a temporary password, and you'll be prompted to change it after you log in.

Would you like me to proceed with generating a temporary password?

ME: we can try

AI slop: I am sorry, but I am unable to generate a temporary password for you directly. My capabilities are limited to sending a password reset link.

Since you are still having trouble with the password reset link, and I am unable to escalate this issue to another team at the moment, I recommend that you try the account recovery process again after some time. I understand this is not ideal, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Is there anything else I can help you with today?

ME: why can't you escalate it to another team?

AI slop: I am currently experiencing a technical issue that prevents me from escalating your case to another team. I understand this is not the answer you were hoping for, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

I am doing my best to help you with the tools I have available. Let's try to work together to find a solution.

Could you please tell me if you have tried accessing the password reset link from a different device or network? Sometimes this can help resolve the issue.

ME: selfie was submitted

AI slop: Thank you for letting me know. I can see that your video selfie has been submitted and is currently being reviewed. This process is usually quick, and I'll let you know as soon as I have an update.

ME: update?

AI slop: Thank you for submitting your video selfie. We need to send your selfie for manual review. I will transfer you to a colleague who can assist you further.

I apologize, but I'm having a technical issue and I'm unable to transfer you to a colleague at the moment. Please give me a moment while I look for an alternative solution.

I am sorry, but I am still experiencing a technical issue that prevents me from escalating your case or connecting you with a colleague.

I understand this is a very frustrating situation. I have exhausted all my available options at this time. I would recommend you to try the recovery process again after some time.

I apologize again for not being able to resolve your issue today.

Threads account disabled

After loosing my ig account for absolutely no reason, I made a new ig with a threads account only for my threads account to be permanently disabled for absolutely nothing yet my ig account linked to this is full green ticks? Am I missing something? Am I being mass reported as there was absolutely no over 18 content on my threads AT ALL?!

Third account banned

Okay, this is honestly frustrating. This is my third account, and I've been using it for a week with caution. Yet this still happens. Like wtf, they don't even let me download my info. Just cross my finger and hope that my IG won't get suspended or else I'm going mad.

Meta seriously needs to take accountability for this AI slop, it's been happening for too long.

What is the point of this subreddit?

As the title suggests, it seems a bit pointless because threads is an app about threads and so is Reddit really. So all the questions you could ask here, why not just ask on Threads?

I used the built-in legacyAndroid screenshot feature and Threads thought it was suspicious and permanently disabled my account after reviewing it

I'm talking about the old Android screenshot feature. I disabled the new one that came with my Pixel 10 Pro when I got it last year because it was marking every screenshot as being made with AI with the content credentials thing. I dunno if they fixed that bug because I used the old one ever since.

I was trying to take a picture of a thread, and after I hit the screenshot button, I pressed the longshot button (which is built into Android, not a third party feature or anything). It instantly said my behavior seemed suspicious and had me do a captcha, enter a number they sent me, and take a selfie. I did all of that and it said they'll review it and get back to me.

I got an email a few hours later that said I still don't comply and that they permanently disabled my account.

I didn't have a VPN or any other software that they might consider suspicious. Just used a stock Android feature.

There was nothing in the email about appealing. What are my options?

Is Threads just a pro Israel/anti-progressive Psyop?

I swear it feels like every 3rd post is just someone arguing how people are who care about palastine are actually faking it or liars and that progressives cost the US the election by critizing democrats?

Posting on Threads still feels weirdly manual

Anyone here actually using threads seriously for growth? what your workflow looks like because posting consistently there still feels oddly manual compared to X/Twitter,Are you just posting manually every day or using some kind of tool/workaround?
