Bit terrified of going live

Tomorrow I plan on doing my first TikTok live. I don’t have anyone to help me pin products, start the flash sale, flag the comments: i have to figure out how to do it on my own, while standing behind table with my products. Is it doable? Any tips? What to do or not to do?

I’m really good at trade shows but at trade shows I’m talking to retailers not actually doing live selling.

I tried two tests lives. The first one just directly on the laptop and the audio was awful and then on the phone but it felt impossible to keep up with comments and totally forgot to pin the products lol.

I’m going to try having the laptop next to me and set

Up the live on the phone. Is that how most people do it?

I do have some lights and a microphone.

Help! I need to know if this TTS violation email is a scam.

I received this email early in the morning and the fact it says it came from TikTok but the email next to it is a personal email concerned me. Although at first I didn’t see it and pressed “resolve violation now” and it took me to sign in and everything looked legit.

On top of that, I checked my account status on TikTok studio and it said healthy with no violations. Is this a scam? If I did get a violation is it normal to receive an email and not see it on the app for some time after? Or should it be immediate?

Never had a violation before so idk what to expect I’m sorry if it’s obvious.

Why don’t creators want my samples!

Hey everyone,

I run a small shop on TikTok Shop UK selling dissolvable caffeine strips (think Listerine strip format, but for caffeine). I’ve had the sample program open for a couple weeks now and creator uptake has been slower than expected, so I wanted to ask the community directly rather than guess.

A few reasons I thought this would be an easy sell for creators:

**•	It’s genuinely new** — most people have never seen caffeine in strip form, so there’s a natural “wait, what is this?” hook built in
**•	Visually different** — easy to film, easy to react to, doesn’t look like just another supplement bottle or gummy
**•	Viral mechanics built in** — taste test / reaction content, “test this before your workout/exam/gym” formats, unboxing novelty
**•	Samples are free** — no cost or risk to try it, we just want honest content either way

So my question for creators here: what actually makes you say yes to a sample request? Is it the product niche, follower count expectations, commission %, how the outreach message is written, or something else entirely? Genuinely trying to understand what’s not landing and happy to take the criticism.

Thank you in advance- I appreciate all feedback

People doing $10k+/month on TikTok Shop… what finally got you there?

I would really appreciate advice from people who have actually reached $10k+/month selling their own product on TikTok Shop.

I sell my own tote bag brand, and the highest I've ever reached was around $3k/month in revenue (not profit), and that was while running GMV Max ads. Right now, without ads, I'm usually doing under $1k/month in revenue.

I'm trying to figure out what my biggest bottleneck is because I feel like I'm putting in the work but not seeing the results.

Right now I:
- Post about 1 video a day (sometimes every other day).
- Reuse a lot of my packing/organizing footage with different hooks instead of filming completely new videos every time.
- Have sent out around 50 affiliate samples, mostly to smaller creators (I've already hit the 1,000 affiliate invitation limit).
- Keep testing different video ideas, but nothing has really taken off consistently.

For those of you who eventually broke through to $10k+/month, what was the biggest thing that changed?

Was it:
- Better hooks/videos?
- Posting more frequently?
- Better affiliates?
- A higher volume of content?
- Just staying consistent long enough?
- Something else?

If you were in my position, what would you focus on first?

I'm not looking for a shortcut, I know this takes time. I just want to know if I'm focusing on the right things or if there's something obvious I'm missing. Any advice or hard truths are welcome.

Affiliate Account Buy or Organic Growth to 5k and banning issues…

For TikTok affiliate, is it better to grow my account organically to 5k or to just buy an account? Also what’s causing people to get banned?? I’ve seen on this subreddit that accounts with 50k + followers tend to not get banned but I’m still confused.

What do I do now

22 violations over the span of a year (2 still active), most popular product has been deactivated, thousands of dollars invested in inventory, samples, etc, a 2.4 shop score, and 3.8-star rating on TikTok Shop. I fixed the product and newer reviews are much better, but my shop’s reputation is already damaged, and I keep getting bot violations on old reviews and returns. I’ve tried hiring people to get my shop back on track, got scammed by one, and the only person who’s actually helped charges $1,500 a month, which I can’t afford. I went from 500 sales a month to 1–2 sales if I’m lucky. Where do I go from here?

Sales Stopping Suddenly

I've been doing around 20 orders a day organically for the last few months and suddenly this past week sales have stopped completely with some days getting 0 or at most 1.

Anyone seeing similar numbers or have any thoughts on what I should check on my account? We don't have any policy violations at the moment.

I’m setting up my TikTok Shop and got to the return warehouse section. I don’t want to use my home address for returns because of privacy. What are my options?

Question for the sellers

we have had a steadily growing business account on TikTok that we started back in January. steady growth, good reviews, shop score staying over 4.5. we have met every single requirement they give us to upgrade from “accelerated” to “express” settlement.
I continue to get the run around from agents on it, all of them telling me that yes, I do meet the qualifications, yes, it will be changed, but then they blame “the system”— the automated and outdated system that gives sellers like me hope for nothing.
we have also been having issues with them paying us out in a timely manner. they again blame the “system”, then say it’s my bank (it’s not— we use PayPal)..

have any of y’all dealt with this? if so, how did you handle it?

thanks guys

Tips for newly opened TikTok Shop

Hello! Just as the title say, I recently got my Tiktok shop application approved. Can I ask for some tips on what to do or not to do, what are the things that I have to prepare myself, and just general advice to lessen violations and refunds. Or anything really!

For context we will be selling beauty care products, thank you so much!

New TikTok shop Seller Trying to Navigate GMV Max.

I just started selling on TikTok shop, my product cost $6.95. do you think it's a good idea to use GMV Max? I used it for about two weeks, made sales but after putting everything together, I ended up losing because the campaign cost me $6.81 per order. I have spent more on ADs than I have made on TikTok shop. Is TikTok shop good for expensive items only or do I just have bad luck lol...... Let me know what you think.

Looking for people whose money’s been blocked/ retained on TikTok after -supposed-violations/ bans

Hi everybody passing here,

for research work, I’m currently looking for cases where TikTok users (whether you are a creator, an affiliate or a TTS seller) have seen their money being kept or blocked by TikTok, after alleged violations or bans and without any more explanation to motive these violations or bans. I’ve seen some stories here and there on Reddit, so I’m thinking it might worth opening a whole topic.

Thank you very much for your answers!

TikTok lets their sellers get scammed

I sold a $35 item (I know it’s not a huge amount, but when you’re trying your best to make money, every sale matters). The package was shipped, the tracking shows it was delivered, and FedEx provided photo proof of delivery.

The buyer claimed they didn’t receive it and said the delivery address wasn’t theirs. I contacted them and asked them to confirm the address because I was going to escalate the issue. They then said it was their address but still claimed they never received the package.

TikTok Shop still approved the refund, and the chat agents were useless, so now I’m out the item and the money.

I messaged the buyer asking them to do the right thing and explained that this is a small business they are taking money from. I let them know that if this isn’t resolved by tomorrow, I will be filing a theft report and posting it on all social media platforms.

I’m trying to build something for myself, and situations like this are honestly discouraging.

What makes it worse is that a few days ago, I had another buyer claim their item was missing. When I checked their tiktok page, they had posted a picture of the item of how good it looked.

Is there anything else I can do if the buyer doesn’t respond?

Appeal Failed

One of my listings got taken down for “poor product quality.” The product actually sold really well, but with squishy toys the reviews can be all over the place since people have different expectations, and I think that’s what triggered it for the most part. Unfortunately, this happened right before I ordered a lot more inventory, so now I’m sitting on hundreds of units. I also made the mistake of reuploading the same listing before I realized that wasn’t allowed, and that got taken down too because I can’t seem to pass an appeal. The new inventory is from a different supplier with updated packaging, and I was planning to take completely new product photos. If I create a brand new listing using the new packaging and new photos, is TikTok’s AI likely to still detect it as the same product, or has anyone had success relisting after switching suppliers/packaging? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s dealt with something similar.

TTS is 10000x Better than Amazon

I’m a small shop with only 4 products and 15,000 sold
Released my newest product across various platforms, made a few videos and already got 90 sold in my first opening week of my newest product. 185,xxx views 800 added to the cart. I haven’t gotten a single product click on amazon while running sponsored ads.

If you’re not doing well on TTS just make high quality effort content or put a creator on a retainer and have them make 2 vids a week for a month.

This is by far the easiest platform and I have never had any issue with Tiktok
