Can you make a build around Shadow Clone?
If yes, what are the options?
I hear mostly negative opinions about the playstyle and I wondered why.

Hi all, I'm torn between Rogue and Storm. Rogue is the only mastery I haven't tried. I have a level 40 Spirit toon. I'm 70 years old so looking for something not too complicated. I also have 3 other alts. An Elemental, Battlemage and a Bastion.
Last night I completed Pan's labyrinth with the Golden Goat story in Heart of the Forest, came out the other side, and Pan opened the way to an area with Titan Ichor. I died fighting the guardians there but when I ressed and returned, I was bugged -- no longer able to summon any minions (playing a Spirit summoner). So I quit and logged back in, but I can't figure out how to get back to that spot. Not even sure where it was located on the world map, since I hadn't looked at it, and the Labyrinth area seems to be locked to me now (the gates aren't opening). Quit for the night after that :p
Does anybody know if there's a way to get back to that area where the ichor is? I don't want to miss the sweet sweet ichor! Pan promised it to me as a reward for completing the goat sequence :p
I still remember the day when I saw the cover for the OG game in a bootleg game store when my grandpa took me (passed away recently so some memories are really rushing back now) and I knew I wanted the game and he bought it.
Shit was so cool and as a kid obsessed with Greek mythology, the pic of that Hydra just did things to my brain.
In fact, this whole mythology factor is one big fact of why I like the game so much (or is it series now? lol) even compared to ARPGs that I like more on a technical level, and that I played timewise much more. Even stuff like Last Epoch I've sunk hundreds of hours, because the feel of the gameplay is good, even if the timetravel gimmick wears off and has to be refreshed every couple of seasons (or it's what I'm hoping for this next one...)
But man TQAE had AURA, mad fucking aura and when I look at the cover I am reminded why all over again. It's the damn monsters ripped straight from mythology but in a world that revolves around mythology, not just "X mythology" inspired creatures like we get in every other game.
But I ranted on enough. Obviously, mine is the Hydra, peak boss design and it's kind of weird that they haven't remade one of the most iconic ones yet. Like with modern tech there is so much potential for how that boss fight could function, it could be way better on a mechanical level than the original.
It's also the most iconic beastie for us OG players, and I yearn for the day they add it to the game. Even as an optional boss, yessir please, gimme some regrowing monster snake heads to cut off!

Died due to lag, a game crash, or just a tiny moment of carelessness? The TQ2 Hardcore Character Reviver gives your fallen heroes a second chance and is bringing them back to life.

I've been playing a ranged Reaver (Warfare/Rogue) in Titan Quest 2 and am Level 36 midway through Act 3 (heading to the single-combat challenge). However I've been struggling with long time-to-kills for even basic mobs. Bosses have required minor gear changes (for resistances) but recently a sidequest miniboss (skeleton with ground spikes in Act 3) has been combo-oneshotting me.
I don't mind slower combat but having to kite and line up every enemy group is making progress a bit of a slog, so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. In the past, finding a better weapon and increasing attack speed improved the feel of the game immensely but it seems my damage is now low for the area again. According to a previous question I asked, the damage tooltips are bugged making it difficult to figure out if I'm building correctly.
My build is linked here: https://tq2builds.com/build/cmswpjb31000004jme4s80zva
I've been primarily using Heavy Attack and sometimes Scattershot with lots of mobility skills to kite.
Title. Bought the game during the sale and while I think it has potential, I find the glaring lack of synergy pretty boring. It’s hard to “build around” a skill or a set of skills. There aren’t any items that kinda tie things together. This game would immensely benefit from more items along the lines of “casting one skill invokes another” or “doing x action reduces cooldown/restores mana” or just flat out transformative stuff like allowing a skill to access the second mastery somehow.
As it sits now it’s just press buttons, thing happens, move on. Even the auras feel pretty boring. For all the complaints they get, I feel like Diablo 4 and LE do a great job of letting you go deep into a couple of skills and pretty much create a build identity through that. This game has a lot of potential for that with dual masteries, but as it is now it’s just way too elementary.
Chthonic has a passive that gives it a 30% chance to trigger on any other ability, so I use Flame Volley from Earth (plus Returning projectiles on the pulse) and I was able to melt Pan at lvl 15 (video is from when I redid him later)
Hi, I just played a few hours, and I am quite happy with the game (except for a minor bug). So, I'd like to know, is it just that some masteries and late game content are missing, or are there any major disadvantages I should be aware of when playing early access? (since I wanna convince some friends to already buy the game)
I am a very casual player building it blindly, just getting all the summon skills. Anyone got a guide or something?
I played a little bit when it first came out, but this is my first real crack at it. Playing a Devastator, though I wish I had gone Elementalist. Flame Volley and Rolling magma with overwhelm and a Core Keeper tank is how I've been playing. Getting bonuses from Forge's elemental infusion and Ring of Flame, but at a point now where I feel like I have all the major upgrades that contribute toward my build. I still have some incremental damage from incoming active and passive skill points and gear upgrades, but most of it is just small damage upgrades.
I haven't tried the Overload mechanic yet, maybe that's a route, and im saving all my charms/relics for later. Also crit seems really hard to come by? I have almost no added crit%. It just feels like with 20+ levels to go there should be some other breakthrough point soon and I'm not seeing it. My damage and survivability are fairly good, but not great.. I just see myself getting outscaled by enemies at this point unless I find a new way to add significant damage.
Any advice on adding damage as I progress?
I find out only today that Titan Quest 2 is (partially?)-open world and I'd like to understand this better.
For references:
I love Sacred 1 and Divine Divinity game worlds.
I like Grim Dawn maps with their secrets, but the world ( interconnection between areas ) just feels like two very long corridors: one on the left side of the world and the other one on the right side, meeting at the beginning of the game. This break the feeling of moving around in a world of fantasy for me.
I don't like very much Diablo 4 open world because it looks like a Ubisoft world.
Where would you put Titan Quest 2? First, second, third group? Or something different?
Thank you for your help.
Bonus question: is really that heavy the game? Steam recommends a 12 GB VRAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti / Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 / AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
Hi, I just freshly started playing TQII and chose Forge + Earth. But I prefer a non-melee playstyle. Is there even a build for that with my mastery combination? Or is it made for melee?
(I am not looking for the top tier classes or builds, I just wanna know if my class is decently playable that way)
Bought the game on sale, and I’m having a blast. Don’t let the reviews sway you too much—the game feels worth the current price to me.
I played through Act 2 on my first character while trying out the Spirit mastery, and I’ve now started another character to experiment with different classes. 20 Hours in already and can't stop playing!!
Thank you!
I really wish homing in storm tree skill worked with Chthonic Pulse. I want to extend the range and add returning then set it up to auto-trigger and it auto-reach and return but it doesn't seem to home at all even though it is listed as a projectile. This makes me sad.
