1967 Toyota Crown S40 Wagon/Van. (Possibly what was called a Masterline?) Unregistered since 2005, so off the road for at least 21 years. 61 000 km, if it hasn't rolled over. Been the part of a private collection for some years, it's was auctioned off along with various vintage trucks. It was bought by a dealership on the other side of the country sight unseen, and they're now trying to flip it. I most likely know more about it than the seller by now.

Also, why isn't there an S40 flair?

One Month with My Crown

One full month with my Crown. She’s different and a little misunderstood, and that’s exactly what I like about her. The Crown is not for everybody, and that’s fine. I didn’t buy everybody’s car. I bought mine. 👑

Cabin noise vs 5th gen Camry?

Does anyone have the latest gen crown and Camry? I’m curious about road noise levels especially on less than perfect pavement. I’m currently on a 4th gen Prius I have hearing loss with noise sensitivity so it bugs me quite a bit.

Buying Crown Signia XLE

Hi! Located in West Michigan and put a deposit on a 2026 Crown Signia XLE - oxygen white paint and tan interior. The estimated OTD price is 49,297. They said any negotiation comes after once the car gets to the dealership. Is this common or was negotiation supposed to happen prior to deposit? This is my first time purchasing a car from a dealer and it seems like toyota Rav 4 and the CS XLE are all getting reserved with deposits so I jumped the gun and did it.

Also any tips to negotiate would be appreciated! Thank you.

Where are all the Crown Hybrids?

So I've made some changes that now involve a lot more driving, which has directed me to a hybrid vehicle. I haven't found anything I like that compares to the Crown Platinum Hybrid Pro Max. But where are they?? The local dealer said I can pay a $500 deposit for them to find/build what I want, then it's mine when it comes in (which entails signing a contract). However, I've never even been inside a newer model, let alone driven one. Salesperson prefaced this by saying, "I'm not supposed to tell you this", then said if I decide against it after driving it, they can't "legally" keep my deposit, since they aren't selling me any goods. I'm not comfortable taking a salesperson's word, when I would be signing something to the contrary. Has anyone else encountered this?

2025 Crown platinum sedan headlights!

(Canadian car) Headlight stalk on left has only auto, parking, and headlight functions.
Is there a way to turn off the headlights while turning off the vehicle if you are sitting in the car? Right now, The car asks me in the dashboard if I want to turn off the headlight after 5 mins the car is off. I go to work early and don’t want to bother other cars with my headlights on.

Good deal?

Ever since the crown came out, I loved it. But it was out of my price range, I got a promotion and another source of income. So I was looking into them again as I am growing tired of the rough ride my 22 WRX has and I am not a car guy so I don’t care for mods. I should come out with 2k trading my WRX in.

I originally wanted a limited Crown, but newer since apparently the 23/24s have the weird window wind noise thing. They are a bit out of the price I would like to pay. However there is a 25 XLE Certified pre owned Crown with 27k miles for 36k. I feel like that’s a lot of miles for a newish car, but there’s a few others with over 30k miles in my area. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of crowns being sold in my area besides platinums, which I do not want.

How do you guys feel? Is this a good deal?

Which filter is best quality

2026 crown xle at 6 months with 2,400 miles. I am prepared to get oil change and tgen again at 1 yr interval when it's free on maintenance plan. For now, can those of you who have changed your oil and bought the filter, say at Autozone, please tell me which brand you bought? Wanting to follow best maintenance. Realize they sell the mobile oil for an ok price per quarter. Trying to save $ instead of dealer cost $180. In northwest Austin area. Many thanks!

anything to worry about? '23 Toyota Crown XLE, 60k mileage, $28k before taxes etc

Hi all, just checking in, been a lurker for a while. Crown seems cool, I work from home so I'm going to put very few miles on whatever I get, and I don't get on the highway much.

Other than Crown, looking at 2-3 year old cars, hybrid Camry or Accord sport L. I wish the Accord grill looked a little better and the speakers were pretty disappointing. I know those aren't difficult to change though.

Any advice is super appreciated, thanks for your time in advance if you comment!

Should I get wheel locks

Love my 2026 red crown xle. Keep in garage and usually is only used in daylight in fairly safe areas. After reading comments re camry wheels theft, thought I should ask which wheel locks to get and if they're difficult to install (female here and older, can't do it myself). Thanks in advance!

Took the Crown to Aus Time Attack 🫶

Headed down to catch-up with the Time Attack Family and Enthusiast Insurance was running some parade laps at lunch.

Was awesome to be able to show my eldest around Winton 👌

I gotta say, the Crown doesn't "quite" handle like what I'm used to through T5 though 😅
