My new 2026 Crown Platinum

Had been watching for Platinums and found this and closed on it over the weekend.

Looking to personalize it some to start with tinting. In my state, legal limits are 50% front side windows and 35% back side and rear. I'd mostly I doing for the appearance but also functional benefits heat and UV reduction with ceramic tinting. Does 50% on the front side windows still look good-- downsides to doing so? Also looking at swapping the front badge and center caps

Just snagged this beautiful beast! 2024 Crown Plat 👑

After a few days of driving it, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the best car I could’ve gotten for something as luxurious as it is fast (that also isn’t some massive depreciating asset lol). I can be as quick as a Model 3, but still get 30mpg which isn’t bad at all. It’s also shockingly uncommon and everyone absolutely loves this thing.

The only thing is that Carvana left a whole dirty diaper in the back driver’s seat pocket which was quite a surprise 😂

Right now, my only plans are to get it tinted ASAP and get the Crown emblems for the front and back. I have no idea why they don’t include them with the modern Crowns. Anyone know a good place to get both?

Also, I have noticed that the places that do sell them offer some modern-looking Crown logo which is different from the OG ones. Did they make that logo specifically for this car or is it something else? Slightly confused about that lol

My journey with Crown

I have traded in my Crown after 96k miles for a Rav4 Woodland. Miss it everyday now. Had people turn their heads as if a sports car was driving by. I had the axles replaced 3 times (33k, 71k both) due to a knocking sound while turning. I was smart to get the extended warranty during the purchase as it was a new model and haven’t seen one on road before mine.

3 years of smoothness and effortless handling, I rate it a strong 4.2/5. I hope Toyota made certain changes in the newer models specially the suspension. I didn’t want any problems handled myself after the squeaky sounds from the suspension, which the technicians couldn’t recognize for some reason.

I hope you all are enjoying your journey with the Crown. Get the Michelin Crossclimate 2 if changing your tires. The first 5k miles will be rigid and sturdy but you will love them after that. Might get one a few years later. You never know. Cheers

Hello Kin

Just joined the family as a fellow limited driver.

I loved my camry v6 in all her glory but since moving back to a state that brutalizes you with gas I had to change. As soon as I saw the color combo online I knew that hard credit inquiry was inevitable and it was goodbye to the camry I traveled half this country with.

That range leaving the lot was more than double what my camry was estimating and immediately knew the hybrid was a right decision.

Dashcams will be here in the morning to install as soon as possible along with getting a nice tint done. Anything you guys did to yours to improve your overall experience with it?

Aftermarket upgrade to the wireless charger 2026 platinum

I am wondering if there is any aftermarket upgrades I can make to the wireless charger in the center console. Maybe something can swap out the old one with that will work better than the one that ships in the car, especially one that has a built in fan. I don’t mean like the plug in ones, I mean something that I install in the existing spot and replace it completely

If not is there any possibility of something like this coming out?

Thank you

Magsafe cases and wireless charging

Is there any magnetic case that works with the Qi charger? It's hard to believe that any magnetic case will have issues, considering the iPhone has magnets built into the phone itself.

I'm currently using a Pixel 8, and have tried several cases. Such as a dbrand grip, Mous super thin, etc.

Please DO NOT make comments about how inefficient it is, how I should just use a cable etc. I know. I'd like to use it sometimes for shorter trips.

PPF yes or no?

Hi all-

proud owner of a new Crown Signia XLE color Storm Cloud. Should I apply PPF YES or NO? I think the color is one that will show road dings but also at the end of the day is it changing anything in terms of value? How does one decide? 2200 USD for extended front end not including the black trim area (rocker panels). How does one decide? (besides just not wanting to spend the money😭)

Depreciation

Does anyone have any guesses or idea about the depreciation on the Crown Signia? Do we think it’ll hold its value because it’s a Toyota or will it depreciate fast because no one knows about it? The Crown sedan looks like it loses $15k in 3/4 years or so based on resale values. The RAV4 loses $6k. Drastic difference. Which do we think the Crown Signia will be more like?

I just got my 2026 Toyota Crown Signia Limited trim $46,600 all fees included except state tax. The invoice price is $44,400 for limited. Is my purchase a good deal? it does not have toyota Advance technology package and no dealer installed accessories and packages. Is it an okay deal?

Crown Watch Smart Key FOB

I am in the market for the Watch Key to import from Japan to AUS for my 2011 GWS204. From what I've found online that I need one with W832.

There is one listing for the watch but it doesn't say either W832 or W830. It says A19200. SO I just wanted to know if anyone knows if its for pre or post facelift models?

Any Crown owners here?

Last year I was working on bringing in an S220 Crown but my old car was on its last legs so I needed a quick fix. I got a good deal on trade-in and bagged a Corolla estate brand new at a decent price. I see they're selling second hand for roughly what I paid for it so I wouldn't be at a huge loss considering it has about 10,000km on the clock and is spotless.

I've seen the Yen has been dropping over the last year so I'm back to shopping around for a Crown and while the engine, drivetrain etc are all related to locally sold Toyota/Lexus in Ireland, I do have concerns around body panels, windscreens etc.

I'm just trying to gauge the reality of living with a Crown in Ireland, as I do spot a few around, mostly of the S210 variety. Obviously I'll be avoiding AWD and RS models as I don't want to be dealing with adaptive suspension or unusual drivetrains as the car gets older.

Are suspension bushings between the 2002JZS171W and the altezza the same?

Im trying to find a set of bushings to overhaul the suspension on my 2002 crown Estate Athlete Tourer V, but the only sets i can find are for the altezzas. I know the suspension geometry is the same and the parts will bolt right up im just a little hesatent to buy a set that only lists the altezza as being compatible.

Cant find ANY guides online, how can the main headunit of a Crown JZS171 be removed?

I am installing a carplay unit to the original screen, but need to remove the unit to disable the motion sensor. I cannot find any guides online and it seems I will be the first person in recorded history to do this. Any guidance is appreciated!
