The transphobia is starting to get to me

I don't know if this is allowed, and I will delete it if it's breaking any rules.

This YouTuber is seriously transphobic. He keeps posting about how "masculine" Ralsei is. He insists that those who believe in Tralsei are "wrong, because they're believing a false theory".

We follow the clues. Remember Daisy TADC? We followed the clues, and guess what? It became canon.

And even if trans Ralsei theory doesn't become canon, it's just our fun comfort-headcanon.

It seriously hurt me to see the (deleted) post he made in which he harassed a Tralsei believer. I'm trans (non binary) myself, and seeing all this transphobia is killing me.

I used to be the biggest transfem Ralsei hater. Then a bunny rabbit smashed my egg with a big mallet.

I was a hardcore doubter of the transfem Jax theory while the Digital Circus was airing, thinking it was grasping at straws and wishful thinking. One finale and a few days of reflection later, I finally came out as transfem after a decade of repression.

Between the new content in chapter 5 and revisiting old chapters with this perspective, I’ve flipped. I sincerely think Toby is building up to Ralsei having a coming out arc, and the foreshadowing is all intentional.

I say this half as an admission of “lmao my bad”, but half to remind everyone of the human behind the screen. If trans girl Ralsei ends up confirmed, I won’t lie and say some fans won’t act willfully dense or even hostile.

But many others will instead admit they simply didn’t see where the foreshadowing was leading, or that they didn’t have the context to view the hints through a trans lens. I ask that, as happy as we’d be to see this payoff, to avoid running victory laps over those who hadn’t seen it coming. You never know what a person is grappling with inside.

Drew this today!

Tralsei makes me so happy, I'm transmasc, but her journey is giving me so much Euphoria, I just want to hug her and tell her she's doing amazing.

Brother? Sister? Gotta remember what's most important. (No Chapter FIve Spoilers)

Continuing my 'FRIEND/ERAM/RAL-sei are all siblings' agenda until Toby takes me behind the shed and blows my brains out.

EDIT: I made this as a joke post about the trans Ralsei theory in relation to my Eram sibling theory, I legitimately did not expect this to cause such a ruckus. Please be civil folks.

on tralsei doubters

it really bugs me the way that the VAST majority of people i’ve seen arguing against this reading of this character have basically no reason to do so, and when you give evidence they go “nuh uh” like for me personally, even ignoring every single piece of evidence like lost girl playing in their room, or the titles, just the scene where flowery calls ralsei princess is necessary for proving this in my mind. because genuinely why the fuck else would toby write it? same thing with asgore using they, people are going to say “uh well, asgore doesn’t know ralsei’s pronouns” but like, that’s bad, unintuitive writing, which toby is very much not known for. anyways, ig it doesn’t matter cause most people still think the theory is as simple as “ralsei feminine = girl”

"You want to know what happens if I don't follow the rules? EVERYTHING! Will fall! Apart!"

To me this is the most relatably trans line of dialogue in this chapter. It perfectly echoes a closeted trans girl who knows what she wants, knows what would make her happy, but also knows that if she takes that step, if she breaks the rules, her whole life and all her relationships could collapse, and it terrifies her.

(I'm not specifically saying it's evidence, just that it gave me a really big hoo boy moment, that I knew exactly how Ralsei was feeling.)

Chapter 5 made me realize...

Have we considered that perhaps the _only_ reason Ralsei identifies as a boy is because the prophecy _explicitly_ identifies a _Prince_ from the Dark, and that _every other aspect_ of Ralsei's identity that he could change without interfering with the prophecy is feminine for a reason?

I think a lot of the dialogue in Chapter 5 referring to Ralsei's ability to be a "Princess" rather than a "Prince" is explicitly nodding to this. Like, that one word is genuinely his only holdup. He thinks he has to be the Prince for the prophecy to work, even if he'd better identify with Princess.

(CH5 Spoilers) Odd Counterpoint to Trans Ralsei

While i do understand where the counterpoint comes from, the counterpoint of "Well, Dark Vine's use of they/them is to refer to the Vine itself" just doesn't make sense to me, because a part of me is just "So... Ralsei themselves, no? Because... it's just how Ralsei perceives themselves. As a Dark Vine watering it's own Thorns. There's not a literal dark vine, it's... metaphorical/figurative/whatever representation of Ralsei's turmoil"

Actually, if anything, i do want to know what the Japanese Titles properly translate to, considering whenever i translate the titles themselves >!(using LibreWolf's Translation tool, which is just Firefox's Translation tool if i'm not mistaken)!<, they seem to be in pretty broken english or somewhat the same as the English Title >!(at least the way i interpret it)!< but look to be done in the first person..? Also, compared to the Japanese title for Dark Vine, i think the English one has a more aggressive implication with it compared to the Japanese version, but that's just me (+ i don't know if it actually translates to "watering the special Ibara" or not.

Idk, I've been thinking, that's all.
