Starting out on TET

Appropriatesmiles post inspired me to post myself, I only found this subreddit yesterday and it has already been very valuable for me, thanks.

Anyway similarly I am interested in starting on the TET (or ACT if it makes sense for my ability).

I have a Honda CRF250 Rally and I am currently in planning for such a trip, getting the correct gear/tool kit together.

I live in the Munich area, so my thinking was TET Slovenia because from what I read it is not so difficult, more so with the current updated gpx apparently, the alternative would be the TCT as it is closer (but probably more difficult) or take a long trip down to Italy for the ACT.

Thoughts/suggestions/advice?

P.s. last time I was off-road was probably 25 years ago on a TY80 😂

TET SPAIN UPDATED PLEASE DELETE ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS

Apologies for this change which follows so soon after the last but sometimes there is an important update that just can't wait.

Two days ago we were alerted to the closure to motor vehicles of part of the Sotres-Espinama road in the Picos de Europa National Park in Northern Spain. Following confirmation of this we have rerouted and boxed out that section. The detour is via asphalt but volunteers are working hard to create a legal, sustainable alternative that meets the values and ethos of the TET project.

The TET relies entirely on local and visiting riders - in other words YOU - to keep it up to date and sustainable.

If YOU come across a gate, sign, obstruction or concern on the TET then please don't just shrug your shoulders and hope the next guy reports it - because that's what the next guy will do, and the next and the next.

YOU can make a difference - if YOU don't keep the TET legal and sustainable, no one else will.

For bros who ridden TET Greece. Which part of the Greece TET is most beautiful to ride?

My buddies and I will go to greece for a 8 to 10 days ride at the end of May. Since we cannot ride all of the Greece, does anyone have some advice where it's best to go riding? Our original plan is to make the circle in the Peloponnese, but we are facing some logistics difficulties. Thanks for the insights uprfront

TET France (south-east)

I am going for a 2-week trip on the TET France, starting around Geneva next week-end (24th May). Starting with section 26, then either 4, 20 or 12.

Any riders that will be there around the same time and want to connect? Either to ride together, meet up for a drink, or just exchange infos about closed roads.

Also, any tips are more than welcome.

Norway southbound looking for other riders

Hi,

I've planned on riding from Norway to Portugal via the TET, and have made it to Halmstad in Sweden, hoping to cross to Denmark tomorrow. Might turn back in a week, or carry on south, store my bike, and take a plane/train home.

The only sure thing is that I have to be back home by June 2nd.

Are there any other riders that want to link up somewhere along the way, if only for a short way? I'm fairly inexperienced, but have managed fine so far.

Where to park motorcycle trailer along TET?

I’ve mostly ridden the TET in my own country and neighboring countries. This summer, though, I’m planning a bigger trip: bringing my motorcycle and a friend’s bike on a trailer to northern Czech Republic / southern Poland to start riding from there.

I assume more riders here have done something similar and used a trailer to get to the start/end point. Where do you usually park the trailer for several days/weeks while riding the TET? Any recommendations for safe parking options?
