Why is there so much slop centered around OG Cale in fics rather than writing about KRS Cale?

lately there are too many fics that obsess over Og cale's backstory and make it so different from canon that it's actually jarring.

Suddenly I barely see tags of KRS Cale-the actual protagonist, and more of OG Cale regressing and raging and a bunch of projected angst about the Henituse family and Ron. I respect that writers should write what they want, but why has the focus suddenly shifted so much, I'm just curious about that if anyone knows.

I feel like Cale has so much substance, and the relationships, plot and family are all tied to him, so how can you delete him from the story and suddenly all of his loved ones are OG Cale's? This simply doesn't make any sense. Cale and OG Cale are fundamentally different people, they did not have the same childhood, although both have been in conflicts and war, you can't swap Cale's personality into OG Cale either. And so many fics of them being siblings, I feel like there's just no new content T-T

I LOVE OG Cale when they write him as his canon self...except that ppl don't do this anymore.

Has anyone else noticed this or just me? just wanna know your thoughts.

My greatest grief is when people drop tcf part 1 after the starting few chapters. And those who drop part 2 as well, my condolences.

It's like that meme of the miner giving up just inches before he discovers the diamonds. I feel like people need to give this story a chance and have the patience for it to build up. The author took a lot of care in setting things up for a much larger story, rather than a fast angsty speedrun and I promise ITS SO WORTH IT. The characters develop, the emotions develop, all the plots tie together and every tiny detail is foreshadowing for something much greater and more delicious. And the lack of romance makes all the other character interactions more fleshed out and enjoyable.

And while part 2 may seem hectic...it gets better, I can't spoil anything but HOLY please my fellow readers stick with the story it is so good.

I fear this is the wrong place to post to, but thank you for listening to my ted talk.

Saintess from the empire

As a manhwa-only reader, I genuinely can’t decide how to feel about the Saintess/Hana . Her duality makes her interesting, but also frustrating.

Part of me understands that she was manipulated and used by ARM, but at the same time, did she actually commit crimes while working with them? Was she directly involved, or was she mostly just another victim being controlled?

And honestly, do you think she deserves redemption?

Right now it’s hard for me to sympathize with her because even if her past explains her actions, it doesn’t automatically make them acceptable. I’m curious whether the novel develops her character properly or gives enough depth to make her redemption feel earned instead of forced.

Sooo… why is Deruth always portrayed as a bad father in fanfics?

I get that the obvious answer is that it’s fanfics and they want their bad-parent angst, but sometimes it feels like people genuinely think Deruth is a bad dad and I just don’t think that’s true.

Granted, Deruth isn’t a great dad, but he definitely isn’t a bad dad.

He tries very hard for his family and children, he supports all of their dreams, is the first one that is worried for Cale’s happiness and safety, and he’s also just a great ruler of his territory too.

Really the only bad thing was that he let Cale go and get drunk all the time, but even then he always had him monitored by other servants and butlers and didn’t shy away from checking in with him. Let’s not forget that he was one of, if not the first, person to notice something was different after the transmigration.

Again, he’s not a great father, but he’s not bad.

So, I wanna hear why people think he is a bad dad, if you personally think so then please enlighten me because as far as I can tell from the original text he’s a good guy who’s trying his best and working hard for his family
