Over on his Facebook page, T&T creator Ken St. Andre has announced that he is only expected to live for a few more months. This news is a great blow to the T&T community.

Ken created a game that dared to challenge D&D. To look at the originator of RPGs and say, "You've got it wrong, mate." The willingness - the demand, even - to do things differently has been the hallmark of T&T for 50 years.

T&T has never been a mainstream success. But it has joined the ranks of a select few games that have amassed cult followings and never compromised their unique visions.

Ken, like most of us, is only too human. Whatever criticisms I may have leveled at him over the years, this is a sad time for gaming in general, and T&T in particular.
