I'm happy to report my U1 GMT Master II Coke held fine while swimming in the ocean and a pool today. That's a plus already. I wonder how the bracelet steel would hold over periodic exposure. I can already see a brown spot in the underside of the clasp.
I’m looking at ordering a U1 Datejust 41 from Jason007 and I’m stuck between these two blue dial options.
On his listing they’re labelled “Smooth Blue” and “Smooth Blue 1.”
Which one do you guys think looks closer to the genuine Rolex blue?
And which one would you personally choose?

Does anyone actually know what kind of metal U1 watches use?
It's pretty obvious that U1s aren't using 904L or 316L steel. The bracelets feel cheap and flimsy, and they'll often leave a metallic smell on my wrist if I sweat with one, which points to 304. Unlike 316 and 904, 304 has no molybdenum, so it doesn't resist chloride pitting nearly as well. Sweat is basically diluted salt water, so it eats into the surface and releases metal ions. The nickel content in 304 probably adds to the odor too.
So my guess is that it's using 304 anyone else have a guess?

I just received my first rep, an Air-King. I ordered it thru DH from MT. Ordered on 8-4-26, shipped on 8-6-26 and delivered in rural Ohio on 8-15-26. This is his Super U1 40mm. It was only offered with the Minzhu movement. I paid $93. I''m really liking it. I still need to remove some links for proper fit (7¼" wrist). Time will tell how it holds up.
Popped off the wristband and found a couple more details on the case of the U1 DJ41. I know they're supposed to be there on gens but didn't expect U1 to include them given the price point.
At the bottom of the watch is a matching serial number found in the rehaut. (Yes I know everyone probably have the same serial number)
At the top is the reference number but it's the wrong one for a mint green DJ41. Should've been 126334. The one on the case references a day date. So they may be using the same case and serial for all DJ.
Got this oyster perpetual a few weeks ago and have been putting it through the ringer and honestly it’s a solid watch, the band feels a little on the lighter side but that’s to be expected out of a U1 in my experience. Upgraded to the miyota movement and it’s been losing about 4 seconds a day which was beyond my expectations. Some photos of the watch. Purchased through Ada +86 17720597380.
