U1 OP
Seeing that no factory has gotten the Beige OP dial color correct i decided to give the U1 a try. I got this one with the Miyota movement. It’s also my first 36mm I figured I wasn’t sure about sizing or dial color so the U1 would be a good start before dropping money on something better
What do you think?

Just received this Rolex Submariner from Michael Travis and the quality has blown me away. For this price point it’s unreal. I’ve always loved the simplicity of this watch, for me it’s cleaner without the date and that deep black dial contrasting perfectly with the ceramic bezel. The oyster bracelet feels good and comfortable. Winding the watch is simple with the crown working as it should. The lume is excellent as well. The great thing about this timepiece is you can literally pair it with anything!
Obviously at this price it isn’t going to be perfect. As with many reps there are some sharp edges here and there which I may look to gently file smoother at some point, but on the whole this is a great watch and a classic as everyone knows.
Dealing with Travis is always a pleasure. This is my second dealing with him and he’s been fantastic on both occasions. I’m more than happy to endorse him and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from him again.

Many Miyota U1 movements are still using the 2020-2024 BOLD date font. But the MIngZhu is using the modern thin date font

Finally had some time to get the camera out and snap a few photos of the Le Mans Daytona. The black dial, white subdials, and red accents really pop in natural light. Easily one of my favorite pieces to wear and photograph.

I've gone through this sub and have noticed that the best sellers for the U1 no-date sub are MT or Jason. I can see you can either order directly from them or on DHGate. What's the best method to order in terms of buyer protection, customer service, after-sales, and if it gets seized at customs?
