I was wondering does uab give there upcoming freshman a chance to pick or rank the dorms in order of which ones the want or do they get randomly stuck in one

When you talk to the person being kidnapped by ICE, ask them questions that will help them out of the jam they are in.

if you ask them “what’s your phone number“, well that information is not helpful because only YOU can reach out to them.

instead, say this in Spanish:

¡Amigo mío! ¿A quién puedo llamar para ti? 

This means: My friend! Who can I call for you?

They may say ”my wife” (mi esposa) or my family (mi familia). then they will say the phone number. Film this so you remember the phone number.

Also, instead of “what’s your name?” ask for their full name:

¿Cuál es su nombre completo? (What is your full name?)

Has anyone taken AST 101 and it's lab online? Did you enjoy it? Was it difficult? I'm planning on taking it online but work full time so I'm trying to get a feel for what the work load will be like

Recently in February I was fired for calling in too many times (past my warnings both verbal and written) there is a whole backstory due to my mental health, almost being hospitalized and things of that nature. Is it true that I’m blacklisted from getting rehired? Has anyone ever been fired and rehired at UAB?

Does anyone feel like 10 minutes is enough to get between two classes? For example I have one class in UH that ends at 12:05 with my next class starting at 12:15 in the SON, is that feasible or should I make extra time? I just don’t want huge gaps in my schedule but I also want to ensure I’m making enough time to get there.

Any body have information on student loans? I have 2 years left and am probably going to have to have students loans for them. What are the best ones to go with? I’ve heard about sallie Mae but don’t much much about how good they are. Which is the best in terms of interest rates? Am I able to defer payments till after graduation? Just very overwhelmed by them and need some help. TIA

Can one live at Birmingham on a 2k5 stipend? How expensive is the city?

I was accepted into the MBA program beginning this fall and plan to take most of my classes online.

Any words of wisdom from this sub? Professors you like/dislike? Thoughts on electives?
