I want to leave a class that ends mid semester but it’s past the deadline

Hey guys, I’ve been wanting to leave a class for a few weeks now due to my mental health h it haven’t had time to since I’ve been so busy and honestly I’ve legit just been depressed. I have a 3.9 gpa so I didn’t want to leave at first and stuck it out but I just feel so confused in the class since my main priority has been trying to get my mental health back together. Do you guys think there’s any way I could still leave? Should I talk to my professor? I’m still feeling horribly depressed but I don’t want my gpa to drop because of it

Apartment help

Hi guys, I’m trying to get a studio apartment near campus right now due to my at home living situation. I have a bunny so I didn’t want to get any roommates. How possible do you guys think this is? This is the first time I’ve tried to ever get an apartment and I’m a little worried about applying for more if I’m just going to keep wasting my money.

Fasfa dependency appeal (help!)

Hi guys, due to my living situation and being at risk of homelessness, I filed for dependency. But my original claim got rejected so I submitted an appeal, mind you I did this is early may and I STILL haven’t gotten a result yet. I’ve emailed the financial aid office and everything and they still haven’t gotten back to me yet. Should I just submit a new fasfa form and try to force/convince my dad to do his part on the fasfa??? This is legit just ridiculous at this point and I’m extremely frustrated.

I (19F) have a very close guy friend (19M) who I’ve known since freshman orientation. He’s honestly my first and only real close college friend. We became close really fast freshman year — he would come to my dorm all the time, vent to me, cry in front of me, and tell me he only does that with his other best friend. We were always emotionally close and around each other constantly, and people have assumed we were dating basically since we met. He always denied it and so did I because I’ve always loved my boyfriend (my ex at the time/current boyfriend now). Back then the friendship genuinely felt sibling-like to me.

The issue is that over sophomore year, especially this semester, his behavior toward me slowly started changing and becoming way more flirtatious/sexual. It started as compliments but escalated into:

  • calling me “sexy” (he said it because I was talking about the weight I gained and told me I looked good and that I look more sexy and mature.
  • Literally called me big mama (if you’re black you most likely know why that’s weird to call your friend that)
  • constantly commenting on my curves/body
  • saying my butt looked good and that he recognizes me by my butt
  • saying my chest looked “perkier”
  • grabbing my thigh
  • saying stuff like “if I was your boyfriend…”
  • drawing sexual stuff on my paper during a leadership meeting
  • openly admitting he was staring at my butt during a group activity and calling it a “nice shelf”

He also became way more touchy with me specifically (he doesn’t act like this with his other girl friends mind you besides his best friend but he doesn’t make sexual comments towards her at all). At the same time, he became emotionally softer with me too. He says “I love you” to me a lot recently, tells me he misses me constantly, and when we reunited after not seeing each other much this semester he genuinely said “I missed you so much” in a really sincere way.

What’s confusing me is that this wasn’t just one random weekend. People have thought he liked me since LAST year. His friends/peers constantly point out that he treats me differently than everyone else. He’s always wanted me around him and involved in his spaces/groups. But the sexual/flirty behavior escalated HARD over the last few days we spent together. During those few days he was being openly inappropriate almost nonstop and the vibe between us felt weirdly tense. Like emotionally close but also flirtatious at the same time.

I finally confronted him because I felt uncomfortable and guilty keeping this from my boyfriend (they know each other too which why I was even more uncomfortable and pissed off). He apologized immediately, admitted he already knew what I was going to talk to him about, and said he didn’t mean to make me uncomfortable. He claimed he was “just complimenting me” and trying to make me not feel insecure about my weight gain/body changes, and he insisted he doesn’t want to get with me romantically. He also said he thought some of the energy was mutual because I’m comfortable around him and affectionate with him sometimes (like hugging him goodbye), which honestly bothered me because I should be able to feel comfortable around my friend without that meaning I want anything romantic or sexual.

Now I’m just really confused. I genuinely care about him a lot and don’t want to lose the friendship, but I also feel like there’s clearly been attraction/tension there for a while and it crossed boundaries. I can’t tell if he has actual romantic feelings for me, if it’s mainly physical attraction mixed with emotional closeness, or if our friendship just became emotionally blurred over time.

How would you guys interpret this situation??? And do you think this friendship can realistically go back to normal after boundaries are set? Seriously, he’s my only real college friend and I’m concerned.
