Idk what this implies.

so i got 680 730 880 640 (VR DM QR SJT) so basically 2290+640 which idk is good or not. got a bad feeling that no med school will consider this score. anyone who can confirm it or disprove it?

I got a 2360 on my UCAT

Guys, I got a 2360 on my UCAT and i’m tryna get into UQ. I’m a student in qld so it won’t be interstate. Do I have a shot at getting an interview offer??

reddit.com

Should I apply to UNISQ or Central Qld?

Ok so I made a post earlier about if I would get an interview offer at UQ with a 2360 UCAT as a metropolitan student in QLD and it seems I have a fair shot. But, I kind of want to know about if I should also apply to unisq or central qld with these stats because I’ve heard they tend to really favour rural students (which I am not). Also, should I apply to both or just one and if so which one?

Keyboard Shortcuts not Working

Hi, as the title says, the keyboard shortcuts, mainly Alt + C and Alt + N, aren't working for me in the OQB mocks or subtests. They work perfectly fine in Medify and MedEntry, but not on OQB. I've tried two different keyboards at home, as well as a different computer and keyboard at my local library (where I'll be sitting my test), but they still don't work. I also tried pressing Alt + Ctrl before the keys, but that didn't make a difference. I'm a bit worried they won't work in the actual UCAT exam. Has anyone else had the same problem, or does anyone have any suggestions?

should i reschedule? averaging 1910 with 3 weeks to go

this is my second time doing the ucat and it's scheduled for 28 july. wondering if pushing it back an extra week would be worth it/make much of a difference in my score. btw i'm in aus, so testing is only open until 5 aug.

i'm aiming for at least 2300 and i've been doing a daily mock for the past week. currently averaging 1910 on medentry (86/127 raw), scoring in the 600s in each subtest.

i've been studying since april but really picked up the intensity this past month. i was planning on doing a mock a day until my test day, but i think i might spend the next couple of days focusing on my weaker question types (e.g. interpreting information in DM, tax in QR) before going back to the daily mocks.

any advice regarding rescheduling or my study outline for the next few weeks is appreciated!

Edit: grammar

VR help

not sure if it’s jsut me but I don’t know how to fix my VR and I can’t pin point exaclty what I can’t do. not sure if anyone have any tips for working under pressure cuz it seems that when I do my mocks the score isn’t so good but when I do untimed practice a few sets at a time I get them all right. I look at the timing there ad well and it’s stjll similar to my mock timing being 35-45 seconds (not ideal timing but atp not aiming to finish all the questions in 30 secs). and idk why I can’t do VR man like the info is in the passage I jsut have to find it and timing on untimed practice doesn’t seem to be an issue. yall I’m so done with ucat

best medify mocks (after mock 10)

hi just wanted to find out which medify mocks after mock 10 are the best in terms of doing a final couple for revision? thanks

reddit.com

medify mock vs official mock disparity

My medify mock scores are horrid. i cannot push past 1800s. but my most recent official mock score was 2100+ so i'm like so confused

my ucat is in 16 days too and i'm so scared

what can i do to improve the medify score as my score ranges are 590-690 for each subtest but my officials (like OQB sections) do so much better (690s-780s)

i wanna get like a top decile score too but i feel helpless as however much practice i do, i get burnt out before i even end DM and i feel like building stamina may be my best bet for now.

Do I Have any Hope for Direct Entry Medicine as Interstate?

Hello everyone.

I took my test today and thought it went well. ...Until I got a 2390 total cognitive score (95th percentile last year). I am flabbergasted that even this will not be enough for most unis I've seen for interstate applicants. My exact scores are 790 VR, 780 DM and 820 QR. Do I have a chance for direct entry anywhere in Australia (apart from unis that don't use the UCAT)?

Is anyones else ucat in the next like 5 days and cant reschedule

I was thinking of rescheduling mine, its on the 8th. But js seeing how bad my school schedule is during late July and early aug, I dont think rescheduling is an option anymore.

And like my medify mocks are still quite low. Ive been practising since the start of the year and still feel like its not enough. My highest medify mocks has only been 2080.

Is anyone else in the same boat and dk what to do atp apart from js take fhe loss and sit the ucat😿

UCAT 2026

guys im so nervous for the ucat because i havent started timed practice yet for VR and QR . Ive started submocks for SJ and im getting band 2 which is okay but im aiming for band 1 and for DM some sections Ive started timed but the questions take so long to do, it takes me like 3-4 minutes to do most questions which is really bad. Im aiming for 2300+ or if possible even 2400. My test is on the 26th of August and i have just over 7 weeks left until my ucat, when should I start doing actual mocks and is 2400 achievable for me? The image shows my progress for the ucat so far and ive barely done non timed VR so ik i should start that soon

percentage cut-offs

how much do we think percentile cut-offs are going to increase by this year?

last year, 2310 was 90th percentile, 2390 was 95th, 2440 was 97th, and 2520 was 99th. for interstate students, unis dgaf unless you're in that range.

do you think these cutoffs are going to increase a lot this year? what are your estimates? i have no idea whether they're going to change by 10 or 50. but they are going to increase, right?

I just got my UCAT score - now what?

That time of the year has come. I wanted to drop some aftermath tips to help anyone out, or if someone is just looking for something to connect with:

  • You might leave it feeling like you didn't do as well as you could
    • Most people do feel this way but that doesn't mean you tanked it. Remember to breathe these feelings out

  • When you see your score it could go one of three ways
    • You did great!
      • If this happens then GO YOU. GO CELEBRATE! JUMP AROUND AND BE HAPPY! TELL SOMEONE YOU TRUST!
      • Remember to take this as motivation to keep the hard work going at school!
      • Try not to let this turn into pressure to remain perfect, this just opens more options for you!
    • You did okay… but it is bordering getting or not getting an offer
      • If this happens, let it out. Cry, worry, contemplate, whatever you need to do.
      • This definitely doesn't mean your out of the game, it just means you need to be a little more strategic
      • Work hard at your ATAR especially your exams as it can act as a huge lever. I was personally in this position and the pressure of getting a good ATAR for the sake of it helped me more than I could have ever known
    • You didn't do well
      • If this happens, let it happen. Scream, cry, lament over what could have been, but just know, nothing was wasted. Skills you gain from UCAT prep are invaluable, such as time management, reading text quickly, quick outside of the box thinking, these will help you for the rest of the school year as well !!
      • The only thing this closes off are some medicine and dentistry courses next year, there are many other wonderful options open, such as other dentistry courses, physiotherapy, optometry and of course the postgraduate options. They may not be your ideal choice, but gameplans have to be tweaked sometimes
      • Many good doctors actually don't get into medical school the first try, one UCAT result does not entail your worth
      • It is important that you don't let your ATAR slip as this could open other doors, and even perhaps the chance for a gap year which is worth considering

Regardless of what outcome you get, the UCAT does not remain a verdict on your future. It may change the way you approach the next 2 or 3 years, but you still have a very long life to live and you can definitely be successful
