Whilst I have a 55 y/o "dad bod" I don't have any issues being naked, but I've no idea how to get into naturism in the UK Im not to sure I could just go to a beach and strip off, but how does one start. Any help appreciated

I have had a read through the sub and particularly the flairs I think this is appropriate to.

I’m hoping we haven’t left it too late in the summer for a beach trip especially since it’s been a scorcher. So assuming the weather plays ball we’re planning a beach trip bank holiday weekend, we’re based just outside north London and looking for any recommendations.

My main focus is for her to feel safe and comfortable. Originally thinking Brighton because I’ve heard of a spa there so if the weather is poor we could still have an experience or looking at a Dorset visit

I’d say our expectations would be turning up and it just being a beach full of men but from reading the sub it sounds like this is unlikely to happen

Be great to hear some other first experiences and are we just over thinking it? I also hope this makes sense thank you in advance

As a 21yr old guy should I wait to go to clover spa on a young clover day or will any day be ok, likely to be able to go this Friday.

Does anyone else shrink down there when publicly nude?

I don’t know why but when I’m in a nudist environment my penis goes so tiny compared to when I’m nude at home or just in my clothes 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s not a temperature thing as it’s been ridiculously hot, it’s extremely embarrassing as I’m not hung to begin with so can’t afford to loose inches 😂

We've been to Studland and really enjoyed. Has anyone been to both Studland and Morfa Duffryn please? If so, which one is the nicest, busiest etc? 😊

Buckinghamshire / Bedfordshire based here, couldn’t be further from the sea let alone a nudist beach, anyone aware of any options in Bedfordshire/ Buckinghamshire area?

I (UK based) go to France quite often. When I go I find the local nude spot and head there as soon as possible. today I was on one of my regular beaches near Sainte Marie la Mer in Roussillon, and I consciously realised something for the first time…

There are a lot more solo women on French nude beaches than there are in the UK.

Not only that, but they are very likely to wave and give a polite “Bonjour!” as you walk past.

So, and not to put too fine a point on it, what the bl**dy hell are we doing so wrong in the UK that women get such a poor experience of nude spaces that they never go back (don’t bother explaining… I know), but more relevantly what are we going to do about it?????

Has anyone been? Would you recommend for the pool/spa facilities?

Is the shame we feel about nudity something we are born with, or something we are taught?

I went to Shellness Beach on the Isle of Sheppey last week and had a wonderful time overall. Sunbathing on the beach, swimming in the sea, and chatting with the great people there brought such a fantastic sense of freedom and relaxation.

However, the day was slightly marred by one guy who was lingering and displaying predatory behavior toward women on the beach, which was really uncomfortable to witness.

It got me thinking about the contrasting sides of the lifestyle, and I’d love to hear the community’s perspective on both the highs and the lows.

I'm curious to know what you feel the absolute best parts of nudism are, whether that's body acceptance, comfort, swimming, connection with nature, or community.

On the flip side, what do you find to be the worst or most frustrating parts, such as dealing with boundary-pushers, social stigma, or finding safe local spaces?

Also, do you open up to your friends and family about practicing nudism, or do you prefer to keep that part of your life private?

Looking forward to reading your thoughts—I'd love to hear your favorite positive experiences, how you handle social openness with loved ones, and how you navigate negative situations when they happen.

Living in a typical street of semi-detached houses, how do you practice naturism in your own back garden, where you are over looked on all sides from neighbouring houses. We have a standard 6' fence round, but the issue is from the 1st floor windows you can see into all areas of the garden. (As I can see into their gardens from my 1st floor windows.) Does anyone just get on with it and not worry what the neighbours think? Is this ok in the British suburb?

As the summers get warmer each year, it would be nice to enjoy life in my garden in the way I wish to.

Do neighbours complain? And if so, how do you deal with their concerns?

I spent the afternoon at the beach on Thursday(6/8/26) and had an awesome time!
I arrived about 1pm and I sat down in the middle of the empty beach. There was one couple set up already and a few people in the grassy dunes. But I almost had the beach to myself.
The sea was out so there was lots of wet sand to walk on. After an hour of laying in the sun working on my all over tan, I went for a wonder along the beach and up to the path by the road. Others had arrived and set up in the dunes. I chatted to a few wonderful people. Nothing awkward, just friendly chats. It was such a great feeling to be around other people and talking about the beach, life and other normal stuff and it being totally normal. Forgetting the fact we are standing there completely naked.

The sea came back in by about 330 and I went for a swim, another walk along the beach and shell collecting(really go place to find shells BTW). Some people had left and some more arrived. Again wonderful people and nice chats.

I left around 5pm as I had to get home, but am totally going again next week on Thursday again! (13/8/26) if anyone wants to join me?

Such a wonderful place. If you don’t mind lots of shells to walk on, and the odd dead jellyfish floating bast, please go there. I don’t think many people know about it and it’s a shame that such a wonderful out of the way spot is missed!
