Monday: Ordered Dr.C's UMPJE study book
Tuesday: Studied Kami Flemings quizlet like only 2-3 of them (Very broad)
Wednesday: Received Dr.C book and only got through the 1st chapter
Thursday: Went over Dr.C book Chapter 1 and 2 and a little bit of med prep prime practice questions
Friday: Focused heavily on Chapter 3 and reviewed Chapter 1 and 2 and a little bit of Chapter 4 (honestly didn't even finish this chapter but focus on hazardous for exam purposes) and Med Prep Prime videos for the questions (FOCUS ON THE HARD QUESTIONS VIDEO - Chapter 3 of Dr.C)
Saturday (Exam day): Did Dr.C practice questions and reviewed Kami Flemings quizlets for Chapter 4 bc the book is too long. There was a few questions I genuinely did NOT know but since I worked in retail it helped a lot to help me answer questions
Happy studying!
I took the test yesterday and I did feel like this was definitely different than the Naplex. Answer choices were less than the Naplex which made it both easier and harder. If you really didn’t study you will be tricked on answer choices because they all seem plausible but there is a best answer. I felt like I was able to see through a lot of those questions since I studied for a little under a month and I did a lot of practice questions. I would definitely use the pharmpreppro practice questions for this exam, definitely a huge help.
Repetition definitely is needed for this exam for studying. Just reading your study guide once definitely isn’t enough. There’s so much tested material that if I didn’t read my study guide many times I definitely would of missed something
Anyone awaiting results for today? Good luck everyone!!
Im posting this because my friend doesnt have reddit and we can't figure out what the answer is. She thinks its A because as long as the info is correct it's good to dispense and I think its D because my professors in school always complained about how "youre more than just a pharmacist and youre responsible". Can you help?
A pharmacist receives a controlled substance prescription that raises concerns about its legitimacy. Which statement best describes the pharmacist’s corresponding responsibility?
A. The pharmacist may dispense the prescription once all required information is present.
B. The pharmacist is responsible only for confirming the patient’s identity and insurance coverage.
C. The pharmacist may rely entirely on the prescriber’s confirmation that the prescription is valid.
D. The pharmacist shares responsibility for proper dispensing.
Would using only rxprep book enough to prepare for the UMPJE?
Came out feeling pretty confident that I passed. I decided to take this exam first since I thought itd be easier to get out of the way compared to the NAPLEX and wanted to enjoy my summer before working for life 😩.
Resources: I used pharmpreppro's umpje bundle. Came with a study guide, a practice exam, and like 500 practice questions. Highly recommend, especially the qbank. Helped me feel more confident on the real exam. I basically read that study guide 2x. When I was tired of reading, I did the practice questions in the section I reviewed that day.
Topics/questions: Definitely know about tech supervision and controlled substances. I got a bunch of questions on those. Also saw med recalls, patient privacy, (know HIPAA like the back of your hand) and patient counseling. Had some questions on compounding regs too.
Open to answering any questions you have.
Now on to NAPLEX studying
A pharmacy keeps unopened, commercially packaged hazardous drugs in a labeled container on the same shelving used for routine medications. Although dividers separate the products from nonhazardous drugs, what is the primary concern with this storage practice?
A. Commercially packaged hazardous drugs require no special storage precautions unless the containers have been opened.
B. Clearly identifying and separating hazardous drugs with physical dividers fully satisfies applicable storage standards.
C. Hazardous drugs should be stored in a way that prevents contamination and limits exposure, not simply placed on regular shelving.
D. All hazardous drugs must be refrigerated even when the manufacturer specifies room-temperature storage.
Hi everyone! I recently passed both the NAPLEX and UMPJE on my first attempt, and I'd like to offer free coaching to 2 students currently preparing for either exam. I can help with study planning, weekly check-ins, accountability, and sharing strategies that worked for me. I took my exam 8/4 and waiting on the results!! The anxiety is killing me considering this is the only thing in my way from being licensed!! How long did it take for everyone?? Was it more than 7 days?
How much do we need to know about compounding? Are there any areas that we 100% should know or areas we can skip over?
Maybe I sound crazy, but I feel like there’s still some kinks being worked out with the scoring on this. I did not pass my attempt, and everyone I’ve talked to who was a straight A student/graduated pharmacy school with honors has also not passed. Seeing a common theme of it on here also…
Thoughts??
hello everyone! i bought the PharmPrepPro bundle with the practice exam, practice questions, and study guide to study for my UMPJE. I got a 111/120 on the practice exam and thought it was fairly easy. I have done all of the practice questions averaging around 95% on them and i’ve read through the study guide once, created quizlets, studied the quizlets, and am in the process of reading through it for the final time and studying my started quizlet terms. today is wednesday and i take my exam on friday but i just took the NABP Pre UMPJE and got a 30/40 and can only figure out 8 that i got wrong. this score was super unexpected and the pre test felt much much harder than the content in PharmPrepPro. i would appreciate any advice on what to do as I’m kind of freaking out that i don’t have enough time to get better but im also not sure how to know the content better. should i postpone my exam date? (i really don’t want to ugh)
A prescriber telephones an emergency oral prescription for a Schedule II controlled substance to a pharmacy. Under federal law, what must occur next for compliance?
A. The pharmacist must refuse to dispense because Schedule II prescriptions can never be oral
B. The prescriber must send a written prescription within 3 days
C. The pharmacist may dispense up to a 72-hour supply, and no further documentation is required
D. The pharmacist may dispense the emergency quantity, and the prescriber must provide a follow-up prescription within 7 days marked “Authorization for Emergency Dispensing”
took mine on 7/30 and found out I passed yesterday. I only used Dr. C’s book and was only on page 90 the night before the test lmao. just was burnt out and literally could not sit there and read to save my life. I speed read and finished chapter 3 and decided to skip chapter 4. For chapter 4 I just quickly reviewed the study guide on compounding I made for the NAPLEX. I also quickly reviewed everything I had already read and highlighted. since the test is pretty much all memorization, weirdly I feel that grinding the night before helped. i also obvi did not get to the practice test in the last chapter or do any other practice tests. I don’t necessarily want to recommend doing this, just sharing my experience. leaving the test I felt like the exam wasn’t bad and mostly straightforward and Dr. C’s book covered mostly everything.
Hello everyone, I scored 34/40 in the Pre-UMPJE exam. Does that count as a bad indicator? Because I saw some posts about scoring 36 and not passing. I scored 108/120 on the PPP bundle. My exam is after tomorrow, and I am worried about not passing. Any recommendations? Thanks
I just found out I didn’t pass. I didn’t think the exam was that bad so I’m honestly surprised. I used Uworld and I read Dr. C’s book but I didn’t really like it. What resources are you guys using? Please help 😭🙏🏽
Took the UMPJE on August 1st. Hopefully today’s the day! Comment if your results posted
Advice please!
Just took the PPP practice test and scored a 91% (109/120) with silly mistakes on some of my answer choices.
My exam is on Monday and I’ve gone through the study guide twice and will skim through it again/go over weak areas today and tomorrow. I have completed all the 500 questions in the bundle and my lowest score on a practice question quiz is 90%.
For those who have taken the UMPJE, am I in pretty good shape for my exam on Monday? Just not sure using PPP alone will suffice.
TIA!!!
