hi, i'm coming in as a transfer junior this fall and i know there are some pretty cool things to do/take advantage of at unlv. could anyone tell me about anything cool on campus i could do while there? i'll be living on campus so i'd ideally like to take advantage of cool stuff/programs/clubs/labs/parties, etc while i'm there. i'm thinking about things that are offered to students that are fun or unique or even interesting that you think would be something to take advantage of while going to school there. if you guys can think of anything that'd be awesome. thank you :)

i’m an incoming transfer student to unlv and haven’t been able to enroll in classes because i haven’t submitted my immunization record. which is the fastest way i can submit it- in person or thru rebel success? i don’t know if i can go in person, but it would be a bonus considering i would tour the campus a bit and get my rebel id. today’s the only day i can get it done until sunday

I'm pre-dental seeking out LOR from professors. I've never asked a professor for an LOC before, and am wondering if it is worth trying to get one from him. I took his ochem 1 class over the summer, but I have Han for ochem 2 for this fall. However, I plan to utilize his office hours in order to maintain my relationship with him.

I'm just overthinking it because he can seem really direct and cold at times =_=

Also, any advice about asking for LOC in general would be highly highly appreciated. Stuff about how to actually go about using their office hours to build a relationship, the way I should ask, etc.!

I already sent a message to financial aid but I wanted to know if anyone else ever had this happen to them. I transferred to UNLV this fall and I did my transfer over the summer and missed the e deadline for IAA. Because of that I don’t qualify for any scholarships. Which I need to cover my tuition. Has anyone ever appealed it and they got tuition+ or any other UNLV scholarships? I’m not sure what to do :/ I really don’t have 2k to drop this semester

Hey! I’m currently a senior and there’s a class I need to take but I’m currently on the waitlist and have been since fall registration. I’ve jumped from 5th place to 2nd over the summer. I was wondering how likely it’ll be to get enrolled into that class either before class starts or after the class starts?

Ive heard of students emailing professors to ask about opening the class up to more people, but I don’t know if that’s frowned upon/rude. There’s only 20 people in this class and it’s an online class. Thoughts?? TIA

Hey! I am enrolling into com 101 this fall sem. I saw that there is a textbook charge applied and we do have the option to remove it. Should I take the charge from top hat? Is the textbook necessary for the class? I'm first gen so I am not familiar with this whole college thing.

hey guys so i’ll be a senior this year and all of my friends have sadly moved away from vegas or have graduated. I’m still here but i’m looking for friends to connect with and hang out with. Especially for schools events like the upcoming premier and the football games. I like to do fun things and i live near campus. Just lmk and we can’t connect. btw im a girl and a healthcare administration major.

Im losing hopes with welcome week so I shall try here again. I’m first year, hospitality major. I like photobooth, cafe hopping, dressing up and taking flicks, will be down for any spontaneous trips and side quests if I’m not working. Love my girlies. It says it will be distributed September 1st will I be dropped from my classes?

I transferred over and I’m finishing my bachelors degree 80% of my classes are online and I do not plan on ever going to the campus unless it’s for a class do I have to still get my rebel ID card or am I good not to?
(I live over a hour away from campus)

There are a ton of posts asking the same thing or asking things we students cannot answer. Call and wait your turn in line or go in person to the financial aid office! This is where you will get the most accurate answers for your questions as every situation is different and what applies to one person may not apply to you.
