things to take advantage of at unlv?

hi, i'm coming in as a transfer junior this fall and i know there are some pretty cool things to do/take advantage of at unlv. could anyone tell me about anything cool on campus i could do while there? i'll be living on campus so i'd ideally like to take advantage of cool stuff/programs/clubs/labs/parties, etc while i'm there. i'm thinking about things that are offered to students that are fun or unique or even interesting that you think would be something to take advantage of while going to school there. if you guys can think of anything that'd be awesome. thank you :)

what is this?

hello all,

i am reaching out as a last ditch effort to see if anyone else has dealt with this chronic issue i have been dealing with. i am 26, in wonderful health, active, do not consume dairy, sugar, or gluten, and currently, have a clean bill of health...on paper.

for the last five years, i have been dealing with what we initially thought was chronic strep that was supposed to be circumvented with a tonsillectomy, but the symptoms persisted after the procedure.

the triggers could be anything. a dirty spoon. secondhand smoke. dairy (which is why i cut dairy out of my diet fully). a dish could be perfectly clean, but i have to clean it once more with dish soap to ensure i have crossed my t's and dotted my i's. infections will start with body aches and chills, congestion (i find the more mucus i get out, the more the symptoms die down. if that's worth noting.), then inner ear discomfort, swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, high grade fever, awful night sweats, vertigo, nausea, and the most debilitating stiffness in my muscles to the point where i cannot move. these infections go on for 5-7 days, and recently, my lymph nodes get so swollen, i can't move my neck. i get these once a month. if i play my cards right -- take mullein, or catch symptoms before they get too bad with allergy medication, i might not get one for up to 3 months. before my tonsillectomy i had 10 infections in a 3 month span. lately, secondhand smoke triggers it.

i guess i am not sure where to start, and the research i have done so far discourages me from seeking treatment, because all i have seen so far is what i do now, taking allergy medications like claritin-D or treatment with antibiotics. these infections have ravaged my immune system since i was 21, and intermittently since i was 13. i did contract mononucleosis in 2009 around the swine flu epidemic and the doctors were never able to determine which diagnosis it actually was. i have a small feeling there might be a correlation between that infection and these chronic infections. i am about to go off to college in a state that doesn't have good healthcare, so i am in a rush to get treatment here in california, but simultaneously want to ask if anyone's dealt with this. i am not sure what this is, but if anyone has experienced these symptoms and could give me a good idea of what it could be, and what i could get tested for, that would be helpful. thank you!
