Hey guys am planning a 2 day family trip to Udupi around June 1. Wanted to ask if the weather will be too hot or uncomfortable during that time?

Where do I find the best gobi in Udupi. I used to live in Mysore and we had a street gobi stall in every area. I've been here for 1 year and I could find only Maruthi Gobi Centre which I felt was okish. Is there any other places U guys know?

Little Rock Indian School, Udupi really thought it was okay to tell girls with “heavy busts” to wear loose clothes and even limit how they move during play hour because it might “distract” boys and male staff. Imagine that , instead of letting students just be kids, run around, play, and exist freely, they’re being told to shrink themselves so others don’t get “distracted.”

The whole “wear loose clothes” thing is just a polite way of saying “hide your body because we can’t be bothered to teach boys and staff basic respect.” It’s not about discipline it’s about control. Why are girls being made responsible for someone else’s lack of self-control?

And the play hour part is even worse. That’s literally the one time students are supposed to relax, run, and enjoy. But no , now girls have to be conscious of how fast they run, how they move, how their body looks while doing something as normal as playing? That’s not just unfair, it’s damaging.

And a teacher getting “distracted” by ear piercings? What kind of professionalism is that? If your staff can’t handle something that basic, maybe stop hiring people who shouldn’t be around students in the first place.

This is outdated, regressive nonsense. Instead of creating a safe, respectful environment, the school is normalizing the idea that girls’ bodies are a “problem” to manage.

Do better. This isn’t discipline it’s straight-up backward thinking.

Old inverter (Elco, 800 VA, bought 2009) keeps giving problems costing Rs.700 - 800 each year to fix.

Hi, I am a journalist with a digital media platform. I am looking to speak to students or parents of schools in Udupi where girl students were particularly asked to dress "modestly" alter their uniform to make them lose so as not to distract boys. Is anyone else facing this in Udupi?

If your Amazon order is supposed to arrive on a Sunday, chances are it isn’t actually getting delivered. For me, maybe 1 out of 10 Sunday “Out for Delivery” orders actually reaches my doorstep.

The usual pattern:

• Morning: “Out for Delivery”
• Whole day: no updates
• Around 8:30–9:00 PM: delivery agent calls
• You answer and… silence. No one speaks.
• A few minutes later it shows “delivery attempted” or some vague update

It honestly feels like the call is just there to fool Amazon’s system into recording an attempt.

What’s more frustrating is that many of these orders then get stuck in transit for days and sometimes end up being returned completely. The package was already in the city and marked out for delivery — so what exactly happened?

The irritating part isn’t even the delay. Delays happen. But this system is ridiculous. Just be transparent.

If Sunday deliveries aren’t actually happening in a particular area, then don’t mark orders as “Out for Delivery” the whole day. Tell customers upfront: “Sunday delivery unavailable” or “delivery expected Monday.”

Anyone else seeing the same thing in Udupi?
