Our passport verification failed... and it turned into one of the best trips
My friend is from Bangalore and I'm from Mysore. We both told our families that we were going to Udupi for passport verification which was actually true. We had our appointment, but due to a server error the verification couldn't be completed.
Since we were already there, we decided not to waste the trip. We rented a bike and just started exploring. Instead of only visiting the temple, we rode through the villages, crossed rivers and small streams, visited a dam, spent time at Malpe Beach, and just enjoyed the peaceful countryside. We even rode through arecanut (adike) plantations. It rained on and off throughout the day, but somehow that made the ride even better.
The people in Udupi were incredibly kind and helpful wherever we went. And the food... absolutely amazing! We had goli baje and Mangalore buns, and they were some of the best snacks I've ever eaten.
It wasn't a trip we had planned at all, but it ended up becoming one of the most memorable days I've had with my close friend. Sometimes the best trips are the ones that happen because things don't go according to plan.
Udupi, we'll definitely be back. ❤️

Spotted this motorcycle going north on the A1 near Lübeck. He took the exit to Lübeck Zentrum where I sadly lost him at a red light. Sadly no picture of the front plate (but it was the typical small long version typical for India).

Budget-friendly destination wedding resort recommendations near Udupi/Mangalore?
Hi everyone!
I’m planning a wedding in mid 2027 and am looking for a resort in or around Udupi, Mangalore, Kundapura, Karkala, or within 60–90 minutes of Udupi.
I’ve been searching online but would love recommendations from people who’ve attended or hosted weddings in the area.
I’m looking for a resort with:-
Accommodation for around 50–60 staying guests
A wedding lawn/event space that can comfortably accommodate around 500 guests
A beautiful nature/greenery setting (beachfront isn’t necessary)
Budget-friendly options
If you have any recommendations, I’d really appreciate it.
Please share the resort name and, if possible, your experience, approximate pricing, or any pros and cons.

Anybody has experience of taking AntiRabies vaccine in government PHCs or hospital?
I had to take rabies injection a few years back in a government PHC. It's supposed to be free, but I was asked to pay ₹100 per session (total 4 sessions). So, I ended up paying ₹400.

Jackfruit Biryani at Madhuram White Lotus is criminally underrated
Visited Madhuram White Lotus today and noticed something I’d never seen before…..jackfruit biryani.
I wasn’t expecting much, but this has genuinely become one of my favourite biryanis.
Seriously, why is nobody talking about this?
For context, I usually hate both jackfruit and biryani, so this completely surprised me.
Would definitely recommend trying it. I’d suggest visiting in the afternoon , the service was much better then.
