I’m just curious if there is a better place than eBay for sourcing tour posters? I’m trying to find the Winter tour 2026 poster, they were out when they go to Portland. I check eBay and it is always the knockoff sellers from other countries. I’ve never seen such a small number of authentic posters sold, just makes me wonder if there is a better place to look. But on a serious note, what does this sign mean?
In light of all the negativity lately concerning our favorite band, I wanted to share this. My best friend sadly passed away too young in 2019. The love of his life was his baby Haji girl, a beautiful Australian shepherd that we picked up together, of course named after one of his favorite songs. Recently we put out this incredible bench in his memory with the unmistakeable quote.
“I didn’t know things were supposed to be this way, no one ever told me this before. It’s all right was all I heard, this will blow away.”
The bench is placed at our local state park where Johnny would often take Haji for walks and provides an awesome space for friends to visit and talk memories.
In 2020 at the first home state Detroit show after his passing, I reached out to Joel with his story and they played Haji for him (in the middle of Mantis nonetheless). A therapeutic moment for our friend group that we will never forget.
Now that is Umph Love.

Yesterday was my first show without Jake. Last show prior was 2/13 at the Fillmore in Philly.
This was the first time I ever enjoyed a moe. set over UM, and it wasn’t even close, moe. was superior by a county mile. With everything they’ve been thru over the years, it made me happy that they sounded tighter and cleaner than I may have ever heard them, impressive after 35 years and all the intense health issues.
Back to Umphrey’s: While I was impressed with how much Brendan stepped up his game and he definitely sounded incredible, I ended up getting BIG sad during the set.
First off, a part from Brendan, and maybe Scottie, the guys looked…miserable. Like it seemed like BB was giving his all and then Joel and Andy looked either bored or pissed off, Stasik straight up looked checked the fuck out.
Then, they made the bizarre choice to play 1348. I’m sorry, but wtf were they thinking? It sounded EMPTY, like a 45% sound pocket just completely absent. I ended up singing Jaco’s riffs to comfort myself.
Now I know what a friend meant when they said that Deep Dive felt like visiting your friend in the hospital while they’re having cancer treatment. 😳
My impression is that Brendan is holding space for Jake to get thru this crisis he seems to be in, and the rest of the guys are done with him and want to look for someone new. And I think it’s causing a rift between BB and the rest. This is still conjecture from some reliable sources, but yeah. Check out the setlist. The Superjam encore at the end was the best thing any Umph member was a part of, mostly because Brendan was able to play off of Chuck from moe. (They chose Bright Lights, Big City over Wappy…prob for the best)
I was looking for copies of the 4-4-02, 4-5-02 and 4-6-02 Colorado run and found Tim was the one who taped the shows on Relisten. If anyone knows him or how to get in touch with him, please send me a DM so I can try and get these most amazing shows. I met the band the summer of ‘98 and moved to CO in ‘01. Only missed 2 shows they ever played at RR. It would be impossible to get copies of every show I had seen, but I’m going to try. Thanks for your help friends!
