Super excited to see this new version of Umphreys back in Peoria. With Summercamp getting canceled (even though Umph wasn't booked this year) I think the energy will be great and people are going to be excited for Umphreys. We haven't had a jam show of this caliber all year. (Dogs In a Pile and Shadowgrass have been my favorite shows in Peoria so far this year)

Friendly Valley Tavern is about an 800 person venue and it's been sold out for I believe a couple months. Any one else going?

Side note Friendly Valley usually always live streams so there should be a live stream for the show tommorow on Facebook and YouTube. Maybe on the Kennys Westside page

After flying from Seattle last week for Grand Rapids, Indy, and Chitown I DEMAND for moe. and Umphrey's to bring it to Colorado and the Best Coast!!!

Fucking Excellent

tl:dr - Bayliss & Jakeless were fucking dope tonight, put your doubts aside and don't hesitate to go see them.

I've seen Umphreys 90+ times over the past 20 years and tonight they sounded fantastic.

Was there a little motor cross missing here and there? Sure. But you could tell they've been reworking jams, trying different setups and flow, and they absolutely nailed the jam segments. I was locked in from start to finish even without my favorite former member on the stage.

I happened to be at a show in Cincy a few years back where Jake didn't play due to a family issue or illness or whatever and it was a total bummer. The band wasn't totally prepared for his absence and the very heavy Bayliss setlist was full of effort but I left feeling underwhelmed.

Tonight was completely different. They played really well off of each other and you could tell they were having fun doing it. Bayliss played out of his mind, carrying a majority of the load but Joel and Stasik were both featured often. The mix was great, and the new additions to the light rig totally hit the mark for me.

I was very apprehensive about UM5 on this tour and moving forward, but tonight reinvigorated my love of this band.

Not to mention moe. put on one hell of a show also.

TIL that Jake is officially no longer with the band. Knew he was away for personal reasons, but didn't catch the band made it official on 7/7/26.

Jake is an amazing guitar player, but Brendan suits my ear better.

Hi there, so I’m going to Morocco for String Cheese’s Moroccan Incident. Any tips? Do’s and dont’s, must see places, food, etc. Anything that would help me have a good and safe time there would be much appreciated.

Anyone have any insight as to whether UM will play first or second for the 8/13 show at White River? I will be getting to the venue late and was hoping to still catch the full set from the boys. Cheers \mm/

They asked us to save the date over a month ago… it’s 2 months from now and there’s been no other information other than dates and a region of the country.

How can they realistically expect people to be able to make travel plans on such short notice?

I know they have a lot going on, but this is nuts.

I haven't seen them since the tabernacle in 2018 but saw them upwards of 30 times in under 10 years all over the region.

I had gotten a little burnt out on them and am genuinely curious how they'll sound with one solid guitarist. More importantly, doing what they did tells me the remaining members share my values and are worth supporting. I get that not everyone feels this way and it's not the same sound you fell in love with, but change isn't always a bad thing.

If you talk to anyone who went to Panic shows after Mikey died they'll tell you it was rough at times, but everyone was in it together and it just made it better when they found their stride again with Jimmy. Obviously this is a bit different since Jake's still alive, but you may look back on this time as something special and be glad you didn't miss out. Everyone have a great weekend!
