Apparently the Cruisin’ Solo Program is the thing to check out if you are looking to get on the ship as a single & don't want to pay for double occupancy.

My first year was 2009 on Jamcruise 7, and I signed up through whatever this program was called at the time. 4 random singles in a cabin. No complaints. Not surprising that we were all like minded & got along great.

It sounds like there may or may not be an official singles program run by Cloud 9 this year? As always, it's hard to tell if you are not on Facebook. Hence this sub's existence.

Anyway, I would love it if people were able to connect through this sub & end up on the ship.

The Jamcruise site indicates 94% of cabins are sold out.

TIL that Jake is officially no longer with the band. Knew he was away for personal reasons, but didn't catch the band made it official on 7/7/26.

Jake is an amazing guitar player, but Brendan suits my ear better.

Pretty solid week on nugs.net. Dumpstaphunk & moe. on the ship of course. Plenty of former Jamcruise performers.

Among other shows, watched Sierra Ferrell last night. That was beyond interesting to me. Wow.

Tedeschi & Trucks Band blew me away 8/8/26. Crazy there are 12 outrageously talented people in that band. One hell of a way to end it: Helpless > Loving Cup > Leaving Truck > Bound for Glory > You Can Make It If You Try > Everyday People

What I mean are cruises that appear to be designated for specialty events and such. Like music bands (varying genres) who advertise a cruise with a cruise line for <x> dates and invite their fans to come along and join them.

Or a dive shop invites everyone to book a cruise with them for <x> cruise line on <x> dates.

Or even a comedian or entertainer says "hey come along with us on this cruise with <x> cruise line to Alaska!"

Or even at a conference center where an event is going on, I'll see ads for cruises with specific groups of speakers and classes and such.

Are these "specialty" voyages actually independent of a cruise line's main schedule for a year, like a charter? Or is it merely just another cruise on the schedule, it's just the one that group happens to be signed up to be part of the entertainment for?

I was always curious about that when I would see those ads at a concert, show, or venue. Are the amenities and services pretty much the same as a "normally scheduled" cruise if they're truly independent?

Shout out to SCI and their Jamcruise ties. Their management, Madison House, helped conceptualize and coordinate the early Jamcruise years. Billy & Kyle have been individual performers along with Leftover Salmon.

Enjoyed the Trampled songs I caught last night. Them boys play fast & that I do appreciate. The style reminded me a bit of The Avett Brothers. Bet everyone would love to see Tedeschi & Trucks on the ship someday as well.

Who has done a cruise stop in Cozumel, Mexico? I was on Jamcruise 8 in 2010, so I've done our 1st two stops in Jamaica & Grand Caymen. This trip is basically a repeat of Jamcruise 8 destinations, with the added stop in Cozumel + one more day.

What's it like? What did you do last time? What are you doing this time?

My preliminary thoughts are get off the ship, shop around a bit, maybe grab a bottled beer or two.

Pretty good starter list there, but I could use some more suggestions. I'm returning for my 4th Jamcruise after a 16 year hiatus. No recollection of what I packed for Jamcruise 9, 10 & 11.
