Kitchen Dwellers x Dogs In A Pile Tour
Do we think each band will play a set with likely a couple sit ins?
10/10 show in the Pines, here’s my review
Really epic show. They’re better every single time I see them. The transition from a tasty Go Set opener to the dancey, vibey 6LL was smooth like butter. LJII was an appropriate hook early on for a Cheese crowd with the pickin vibes. Tell Me Something Good was the most unexpected bust out that I couldn’t be more grateful to have seen, everyone was smiling with a 12 tooth grin during it- band included. Little Things> Cabbage Alley> Little Things was the highlight of the show for me personally. Cheese played their original song Let’s Go Outside during their set, and Brian was telling me and my buddies earlier in the day that it is his favorite Cheese tune. The Dogs went ahead to tease it throughout Little Things, including a vocal tease in the latter half of the sandwich. Bubble> EDM Song had the crowd stunned but in a dancing kind of way. During the next song, a couple tapped on my shoulder asked me what song this is because it’s incredible and questioned what the fuck a Thomas Duncan, pt2 was and weren’t sure if I was making that up or not. It then felt like Cowboy Joe at the wheel was taking us into the Other One, but we found our asses in the jackpot instead, no complaints either way- they brought it for Chop Shop and the crowd ate it up. Rabbit was a great psychedelic vibe for the late night, trippy space we were in. As was White Rabbit, in which the first notes followed with many audible “no fucking ways” throughout the crowd. And then of course we round the set back out with them revealing the second slice of Go Set bread, finally revealing we’ve been in the depths of a Go Set sandwich for the past 2 hours unknowingly. And the crowd goes bonkers. The minute the show ended, it started down pouring. Shout out to the band for throwing down for around 2 hours straight and then loading out in the rain, just to show us all a great time. Out of the 86 times I’ve seen this band, this is truly one of my favorite shows I’ve been to. Idk if it’s because I was riding the high off seeing cheese and lettuce earlier, the high off being at a festival late night, being around a crowd that was so stoked and locked into the music, or the music was just truly next level. I do believe it is all of the above. Thanks Dogs, I’d probably come to another show
[Setlist Thread] 2026-08-15 - Campout in the Pines, Eau Claire, WI
We’ve reached the final day of the Dogs’ three-night jaunt through Wisconsin, and the end of a larger four-night trek that started on Wednesday in Davenport and concludes tonight in Eau Claire. Those who attended or streamed last night’s show in Milwaukee got treated to a real heater, and that energy is expected to continue out in northwestern Wisconsin as the Dogs wrap up this week and prepare for a few weeks off the road.
Campout in the Pines got its start at The Pines Music Park when the manager for the Blue Ox Music Festival wanted to put together smaller camping excursions with multiple evening concerts closing out the day - a sort of stripped-down festival with equal focus on outdoor activities and music. The first iterations of the event were held back when capacity restrictions dictated smaller crowds in 2021, and they brought back the name last year with The String Cheese Incident serving as the headliners for the re-established fest.
It feels like the Cheese are among the masters in the jam world at booking destination events, and the Dogs have regularly supported the Colorado-based band for several jam excursions in the past. That link really got its start (or was at least cemented) in Sep. 2024 when the Dogs played two sets at Bender Jamboree and supported SCI for two nights at Wonderland Forest a few weeks later. The Dogs would go back to Vegas with the Cheese the following year, and it’s been good vibes ever since.
Lettuce opens the show today at 6 PM, and you get two sets of SCI at 8. The Dogs come on for a two-hour late night set starting at 11:30. The band was originally supposed to be back on stage at Oregon Ridge Park for Hot August Music Festival next weekend, but the cancellation of that fest means that they’ll get some additional time off before the start four more days of shows on Labor Day weekend.

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2024-09-13 - Las Vegas, NV - One of two shows the Dogs performed at Bender Jamboree ‘24, this show took place on the pool deck during the day as a bonus set for attendees. The band took the environment in stride, and themed their set around The Hangover soundtrack. An essential listen, and has four cover FTPs that still haven’t been played since!
2024-09-28 - Lafayette, NY - One part opening set, one part silent disco closing set, this show took place during SCI’s two-night run at Wonderland Forest. The Dogs got everyone dancing before Cheese, but the real meat of this one comes in the second set, which went down in the late evening after SCI wrapped up two sets of their own. The band performed this set as a silent disco as a way to circumvent local evening noise restrictions, and produced - in my opinion - the best Hesitate to date.

[Setlist Thread] 2026-08-14 - Turner Hall Ballroom, Milwaukee, WI
The Dogs are at the halfway point of a three-night run through Wisconsin as we inch ever closer to the end of summer tour. The band just wrapped up two sets a few hours north in Greenleaf last night (feat. double sammy + a first FTP in the state) and are back in the Mil for seconds at Turner Hill Ballroom.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Milwaukee because they have one of the most ridiculous city flags in the entire country, featuring not one, not two, but three(!!!) entirely different flags on the canvas. I’d wager the Dogs have a soft spot for this place too based on the quality and quantity of shows they’ve has played here in the past few years. The band originally came to Brew City for the first time to play a collection of pre-parties and after-shows during Widespread Panic's run at the Riverside Theater in Fall '22 and came back to headline for the first time in the city two years later.
They’ve been back annually since that show at the Vivarium in November ‘24, and leveled up to the higher-capacity Turner Hall Ballroom operated by the same ownership group last year. This spot was first built in 1882 and has been a fixture in the heart of Milwaukee's downtown ever since. A national landmark right off the shores of the Milwaukee River, the Ballroom sits just across the street from where the Bucks play.
Doors open at 7 PM, and Modern Joey will open the show an hour later at 8. Dogs come on for two sets starting at 9:10. They’ll round off this trip to Wisconsin with the String Cheese Incident at Campout in the Pines in Eau Claire tomorrow night.

PRE-SHOW TUNES
- 2024-06-08 - Yuba, WI - This was the sole Wisconsin representative on 2024's Pigeon/Frasco/Dogs Tour and went down at Driftless Music Gardens during Bonfire Fest. I can't say this 100% for sure, but I seem to have a memory of Inchworm being played because someone in the audience brought out a very well-crafted sign requesting it (regardless, it remains the only time the song was played in Wisconsin). That wasn't the only bust-out, as the band pulled China Cat off the shelf for the first time in 30 shows and also dusted off TDP3 for the first time on PFD Tour. Right after this date the band would head out west for the famous PNW->CO->MT run that is well-represented on Doggie Bag 2.
- 2025-11-14 - Milwaukee, WI - The band’s last trip to Milwaukee took place alongside their month-long residency at Garcia’s in Chicago during Fall ‘25. The Dogs would play Chicago on Weds/Thurs before venturing to nearby states for shows on Friday and the weekend. This specific night went down during the second week of the residency and coincided with the band's release of the PQP music video (which itself promoted the upcoming release of Distroid). Naturally, Milwook got a smoker of a PQP, not to mention a big dog version of TD2 to spare.

[Setlist Thread] 2026-08-13 - LedgeStone Vineyards & Winery, Greenleaf, WI
After a quick pit-stop in Iowa last night, the Dogs are back on the road up to Wisconsin for the start of a three-night run through the Badger state. The band has regularly travelled through Wisco on tour since '22, and the state can reliably bet on hosting the Dogs around two or three times a year. As you probably expect, Milwaukee's gotten most of the love during that period (with more on the way tomorrow), but it’s finally time for the rest of the state to share in the spotlight this week.
This is the band's first time on record in Brown County - the farthest north they've played in Wisconsin to date. Greenleaf is a small village (pop. 607) off the beaten path north of Lake Winnebago between Appleton and Green Bay. It’s a place so small they didn’t even bother putting anything on their “About Us” page on the website they share with the nearby town of Wrightstown!
Like several other venues the band has booked this tour, tonight’s host primarily acts as a vineyard and event space “tucked amongst the Niagara Escarpment, where time seems to stand still and the wine and beer flow.” Sounds like Wisconsin to me! They host free live music on Wednesdays and Fridays during the summer, with Thursdays being reserved for ticketed shows for nationally touring acts as part of their Wine Down Summer Concert Series.
Doors open pretty early at 3 PM if you want to take a stroll around the grounds - the venue recommends arriving by 4:30. The site says music starts at 6, but the show’s going to get underway at 5:45 to accommodate TWINE as the opener. Two sets of Dogs that are scheduled to start at 7:15.

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2023-09-06 - Madison, WI - The Dogs had previously been out to Wisconsin for three shows in Fall '22 centered around WSP's trip out to Milwaukee, but this date during Fall '23 in Madison is the earliest soundboard we have available from the state. To this day, there are many who still stand by this It Gets Better as the band's best. At 22:24, it’s still the longest rendition of the tune today (unless last night in Davenport truly went into outer space!)
2024-11-15 - Milwaukee, WI - This night at the Vivarium in Milwook was my first and only Wisco Dogs show to date. I vividly remember how cool the venue looked with the band’s light rig constantly bouncing off the plants hanging from the ceiling over the pit. This took place during the smoking Fall ‘24 tour right after the debut of Burning Daylight (played for the 2nd time at this show) and the day before the band would play Chop Shop for the first time. Also featured: a rare cover of Phil Collins’ In the Air Tonight.

[Setlist Thread] 2026-08-12 - Redstone Room, Davenport, IA
The Dogs just threw it down in their hometown on The Stone Pony Summer Stage and fall dates are continuing to trickle in, but there’s still some business to attend to this summer. Tonight marks the start of a hectic four-night run through the Hawkeye and Badger states in the upper midwest.
Most of this week’s shows are scheduled in Wisconsin, but this Wednesday night in Iowa has the distinction of being the 30th of this summer tour. Iowa’s been the recipient of one Dogs show a year since the Dogs made their debut in the state during the ‘23 Winter Rescue Tour on a trip through Iowa City. They swung back 11 months later to support Andy Frasco & The U.N. in Des Moines, and played tonight’s venue for the first time the following year in Davenport.
The Redstone Room is the primary venue operated by Common Chord, a local non-profit focused on getting affordable shows out to the masses in Scott County (you might know the org by its old moniker, “River Music Experience”). They do free shows out in the courtyard during the summer, and ticketed shows indoors at the Redstone Building on main street. When the Dogs were last here, the Redstone Room was on the second floor of the building, but the venue is in the middle of a multi-million dollar move to the first floor for more space and accessibility. The official grand opening celebrating the the new digs happens next week, and today’s show is the final concert hosted on the second floor before the move is complete!
Instead of the opener+one set format the band played in '25 at this spot, it'll be two unaccompanied sets of Dogs tonight. Doors open at 7 and Dogs get on stage at 8. Three nights across Wisco due up Thursday/Friday/Saturday.

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2023-03-02 - Iowa City, IA - The Dogs' first trip out to Iowa unfortunately coincided with the passing of Wayne Shorter, one of the most celebrated modern jazz performers and a Jersey native. The band honored him by playing Footprints for the first time, in the middle of a lengthy sequence that ended with a great Spun for the tour.
2025-02-05 - Davenport, IA - This was the band's last trip to Iowa during Winter Tour '25, immediately following their two-night run at Cervs but before they set sail on Jam Cruise. It's been a minute since I checked this one out but I remember the one-two punch of Tillie/Applesauce being very good!

[Setlist Thread] 2026-08-08 - The Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park, NJ
We’ve reached the start of the final month of the Dogs’ 2026 Summer Tour. This season of the Dogs got its start in Big Sky territory before bringing the party out for two long runs of shows on opposite coasts and a busy set of bookings in the Rocky Mountains. Things have been comparatively quiet in the two weeks since Taos if we’re talking purely “Dogs,” but the members have kept themselves busy with Murray’s Law, a wedding party, and sit-in appointments with Dobbs’ Dead. The band proper is now set to finally close off this remainder of this tour with a set of nine gigs mostly centered around the Midwest. It’s not all heartland shows though - the Dogs have a couple evenings bookending the Midwest focus in home territory, and we’re kicking things off tonight in good ol’ Asbury Park.
The Dogs' annual shindig on the Stone Pony Summer Stage has become the landmark show for the group over the last few years, and it’s not hard to see why. The Stone Pony is in the heart of the Dogs’ local stomping grounds in Asbury Park, and the band has graced the venue’s indoor stage at least 17 times since their debut on the grounds opening for Dark Star Orchestra in 2018. In 2024, the band booked the 4500-cap outdoor Summer Stage for the first time as part of a joint tour alongside Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Andy Frasco. They followed-up that event a year later with their first-ever headlining appearance on the stage around this time last summer, and it’s been THE summer booking for the band ever since.
Gates to the outdoor stage open at 6, but there’s festivities scheduled for the entire afternoon. If you stroll 15 minutes down the north end of the boardwalk from the venue, you’ll find the Dog Pound meetup and pre-party going down from 1 to 5 PM. There you’ll be treated with a two sets of Meraki and offerings from some local DJs. The Stone Pony indoor stage will open up at 4:30, and Philadelphia’s own Reality Check Experiment will play there from 5 to 5:50. The party shifts back outside from there, with the Dogs scheduled for two sets starting at 7 PM. Fungkshui will keep the party going late back inside the Pony when Dogs are done.

PRE-SHOW TUNES
- 2023-12-16 - Asbury Park, NJ - Before they outgrew the venue’s 850-cap indoor stage, the Dogs’ annual trip to the Stone Pony used to take place during the winter months! In 2022, they collaborated with the Ocean Avenue Stompers and Sicard Hollow over two nights, and 2023 featured a similar approach with Adrian and Mihali from Twiddle. u/that1persondancing and I agree that 12/16 feat. Adrian + TDP3 debut was peak for the 2023 run, but you really can’t go wrong with the other night!
- 2025-08-31 - Asbury Park, NJ - Much like this year’s Summer Stage gig, last year’s also took place a few weeks removed from the band’s big summer run through the Rockies. A homecoming show in the best possible way, this one’s starter guide material and a great entry point for those new to the band.

If anyone from the Dog’s camp is reading this, would you please consider offering more stickers for sale?
I got this one at the Raleigh show during the Fall ‘23 tour. I feel like this logo could be as recognizable as the Grateful Dead stealie or the Phish logo someday. It’s a great design!
This design on a clear decal would sell really well, I believe. ✌️ ❤️ 🐕
The way the 'Asbury' lick is just a gentrified 'Tillie' lick
Took me 2-3 listens to pick up on that somehow. Beautiful!
