The way the 'Asbury' lick is just a gentrified 'Tillie' lick
Took me 2-3 listens to pick up on that somehow. Beautiful!

The Dog Pound lost a legend recently.
Scott deserves to be immortalized here in the sub as he was an active commenter and poster. No matter if the Dogs were in NY, NJ, CO, or CT... Scott was there for a lot of them.
I can't remember when, exactly, I first met Scott but his energy was very warm and inviting. He was near me in the crowd at the November 2024 Nashville show when Lazy Susan got the full-band debut treatment.
I just saw and chatted with Scott at the Levitt Pavilion show in CT just the other week. He was busting my balls about not having shared out my 'Best of 2025' Dogs playlist. I promised him I would get on it... I still need to get on that, shit!
Scott's last Dogs show was in Taos, NM. He loved the recent covers of Allen Toussaint and, wouldn't you know it, the Dogs played 'Last Train' at his last show.
His all-time favorite Dogs song, I think, is ‘Times Stands Still’.
Please listen to ‘Times Stands Still’ today and tell those you hold close that you love them. No day is promised.
RIP NADDOG - REST ASSURED THE BEST IS STILL YET TO COME!
Still daydreaming of my day in Wellfleet. As I was dropped off at the ‘Coma, it was drizzling rain and most of the beachgoers had vacated the shore. I stood in awe of the structure. Walking surface turns from paved road to wet sand. I veer over the edge of Cahoon Hollow and there’s two fellers down there. Is one of them fly-fishing? He is. It’s Brian mf Murray and Big Joe. Murray was casting out trying to catch a feesh. I saw a seal breach and stare towards the shore. The evening that followed consisted of torrential downpour, a Cool Water soundcheck, and one of my favorite shows musically I’ve had the joy of traveling for. One set shows are where some real wild Dogs magic happens.
Maybe my favorite night of the Northeast Clambake Rhodekill run (CT>MA>RI). If you haven’t listened back yet, I highly encourage!
Guess that show based on the written setlist! Keep in mind that what happens on paper can vary as to what happens on stage. Good luck, dogs 🎩
I don’t have any blues to counteract the energy tho
Shown above is a hand-drawn image depicting 20 different Dogs songs or lyrics. Can you find them all?
During Dogs’ (Jim and Jerm) sit-in during Little Feat’s set @ Dark Star Jubilee, Bill Payne went to grab his phone to capture Jimmy ripping with the LF guitarists and he fell on his ass!! He got up unharmed, snapped the pic, and got right back to the jam. Incredible to witness 🍅
Extra points for getting the exact show!
Since some of you wankers are way too onto me, thought I’d up the difficulty. Bonus points for the exact date! Good luck 🎩
Bonus points if you can get the date!
Who's going?? Will be my first Jubilee, but far from my first time at the legendary Legend Valley. Ohio doesn't mess around with good music.
This will mark the 4th time that Dogs have played in Thornville. One Domefest, one Dark Star Jubilee, and one Secret Dreams.
Do you have a favorite Legend Valley moment? or otherwise based Ohio Dogs stories?
Another sweaty show for the books. Madison Theater, Covington, KY 4/24/2026
