Tired of women being archetypes before we’re allowed to be people

I’ve been really sick these past few days and honestly haven’t been able to do anything, neither for the channel nor even memes, sorry about that.

Still, I’ve been thinking about more stories I’d like to write, since writing is one of my favorite hobbies. And something I’ve been thinking about a lot is the lack of genuinely monstrous women in fiction.
It really bothers me that female characters are so rarely allowed to be monsters simply because they are monsters.

There always has to be some explanation like she lost her children (La Llorona, for example), lost her family, and so on. It bothers me that these characters are daughters, mothers, wives first, but almost never people, individuals. Or even if they are "monsters" or bad people, they are still hot, and beautfiful 💀

I want to see more of women who are grotesque because the monster they turn into is grotesque, not because they’re frustrated that they can’t become mothers or because they lost their children.

I’m planning to write something along those lines, a woman who turns into an actual monster. I’m not even necessarily planning to make her GNC, really (because honestly I barely see this even with gender conforming women, or at least I haven’t come across much of it). Though one character is definitely going to be GNC and I already know which one lmao

But yeah, more than anything, this is just a rant about how much it annoys me that women are always the mothers/hot girls in those type of stories (or almost any story at this point)

Wishing there was more mascgirl representation in girly media

Girly media is supposed to be media that targets a mostly female audience; but I feel like there’s rarely any of said media that includes all types of women. For instance, all the women have to be beautiful, cute, or wear makeup. At the bare minimum there’s not even any feminine women that simply don’t wear makeup. There’s no masculine women or at least tomboys at all.

I also wish that there was girly media that delved into other genres like action & fighting, sci-fi, grim fantasy, etcetera. I love fashion; but it feels like the majority of girly media is about school life, the fashion industry, fairytale-like fantasy, or taking care of pets. There’s nothing wrong with it, I just wish there was more sub-genres to choose from for all kinds of women. But, I guess one could technically say the same for boy media since an overwhelming majority of it seems to always be about fighting or sports.

I know that I may sound entitled because I don’t expect other women to really know much about the existence of very masculine women when creating their stories, shows, movies, games, and characters. However, I just hate feeling disconnected from other women sometimes. I love fiction and video games, and I like engaging with other women in stuff; but I can’t relate to most of the stuff that attracts the most women and many times I feel out of place. Like, there’s not much media for me to be able to embrace how I truly am.

Do you guys shave or not?

Personally, there are days when I don’t shave my face, and yeah, it looks like the kind of facial hair a teenager gets during puberty. But I usually do shave because I don’t like how it looks on me.

I’m curious: do you shave any part of your body (legs, face, etc.)? Do you feel like shaving/not shaving affects your gender nonconformity or actually not?

Or even maybe you’d actually like to let your body hair grow, but you’re worried about being criticized? Or vice versa, do you wish you didn’t grow any body hair at all?

Discord suggestions? 👀

I’m currently working on a Discord server and before I finish setting everything up, I wanted to ask you guys:

Is there anything you’d specifically like to see in the server?

Channels, activities, events, features, anything you think would make the community more fun or useful.

I can’t promise I’ll add everything, but I’d love to hear your ideas
