How hard will it be for me to get into the game as a completely new player?

I want to get into under night but I want to understand if it’s worth it at the moment.

Edit: I have played fighting games before, mainly DBZF and a bit of Melty Blood but im not very good at both

Sooo...I still understand combining in this game

I've been playing a lot more Under-night in birth 2 and have slowly started realizing there is something about combining I just don't understand, I notice this every time I lab with a character I'm learning, most of my combos seem bland or just, are very short, and yet I've seen people capable of like crazy 80 hit combos or what not, and I just can't seem to figure out what's missing, or what I don't know, any advice or knowledge would be very helpful (Also gonna drop combo here for an example I guess)

State of the game in May 2026

I've been thinking that this game looks incredibly fun, and I want to give it a try however I can't find much online of this game recently, is the online still alive?

MB x UNI Outfit Swap, Part 1(?)

This has been on my "to draw" list for a couple of years now since MBTL's release and the complains about the drip (or the lack thereof), though I had planned to get it done in time for EVO Japan a few weeks ago:

"What if UNI characters swapped outfits with their Type-Moon counterparts?"

...and this was the result, now on pixiv. Frankly, after this now I can't help but think of more potential ideas down the line, maybe with Fate or even further beyond.

UNI 2 Beginner Server Tourney!

Recently I've made a server and with the help one of our community members "gamer", we're hosting a tourney for our server! If you want to play here's some info created by our helpful host:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!

Come on down to our general voice chat at Sunday, May 17, 2026 10:00 AM PDT and we will have a Beginner-ONLY EVENT! This is swiss NON-ELIMINATION, so you will get to play throughout the entire event no matter what! Your prize for winning? You EARN YOUR YELLOW NAME! Your prize for entry? A $1 donation to the Wikimedia Foundation! This is not a joke! I will give money to charity! All you have to do is show up!

My coaching offer is still on the table! I want to cheer for YOU during this event! I'm sure that there are some yellow- and red-name people who would love to help you out, too! Ask for help!if a lot of people want to reschedule, this event will change time. beginners are expected to self select with the honor system, we are expecting approximately C-rank players. dooming and "i can't do anything about it" makes you and everyone else have less fun. only blue-name beginner players may enter. yes i really will donate to the wikimedia foundation."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tourney will be PC only, so you cannot join if you are not on PC.

Please judge your ability of talent on deciding whether or not you are a beginner player by heart. Although it's very hard to point out much more advanced players than others we want this to be an almost pure to new beginner tourney. There are no stated prizes, but if this succeeds in the future we can do more and hopefully have prizes for more members. If you feel you're concerned on whether or not you can qualify simply contact me about it when you join the server.

Link: https://discord.gg/de7tqb7Z (Expires in 7 Days).

The registration is in the server, in the server-tournament channel.

Is the game usually this cheap

I’ve been wanting the game for a bit but it seemed kinda off that a 50 dollar game goes down to 3 Dollars is there something wrong with this or what happened

Any advice for improving with Yuzu? Like what should I be learning first?

Group I'm playing with consists of very high level players, and while yes they're helping me out and I greatly appreciate them it's a bit of a swim or drown situation. I'm just trying to figure out what I need to prioritize practicing first

Buy the game for your friends

I've bought this game like 8 times myself included.

The first time I got it for me and a few buddies because I wanted to get what was going to be my first fighting game. One didn't play it for too long, and the other person wouldn't stfu about vatista for months and still is difficult for me to fight to this day. It kinda spiralled from there.

There's a customer at my job and we started talking about how I had recently got dbfz so I started going to his house to play offline dbfz like lamb to the slaughter and this has been going on for months, consistently going 2-30 once a week. The trick was that the first night I went over I bought him uni2 and showed him a tiny bit and then just let it go and didn't mention it suffering from piccolo's special beam cannon in silence. Now, months later, he is playing different characters trying to find a main, and we will probably fight tomorrow. I'm excited to see who he plays and to get to maybe be able to play this game offline more often.

It is really easy to get caught up in the more mainstream titles to find players, but none of em hit for me like uni does. I try to tell myself playing them will help me improve as a competitor or something, but they won't help me stop whiffing 421b after 66c on eltnum. Might as well make my friends play if possible.

Why do you play who you play?

I've been trying to find a main for a month now but nobody is really appealing to me so far

Was thinking maybe asking this could help me a bit
